Mana bars are not, and never will be, present in the Grid2 core, and you do not need them for anything. As a resto shaman, you can simply set the "Low Mana Alert" threshold to 50% or so. If you see lots of blue borders (or boxes or whatevers) in your party, Mana Tide will be beneficial. As a raid leader, 50% is also a good threshold for knowing whether you're ready for the next trash pull, and for bosses you should be doing a ready check anyway.
I've been trying to follow the progress of Grid2 and before making the switch I was wondering if we could get a summary of the current state of Grid2?
Anything significant functionality or features still missing? Any significant or annoying bugs that folks might encounter?
Also, I'd be curious as to the state of a number of Grid addons:
GridIndicatorCornerIcons
GridIndicatorSideIcons
I like icons more than colored squares. Will Grid2 support icon indicators or do I need to wait for this addon to be updated for Grid2?
GridIndicatorText3
I use three lines of text: name, hp deficit and incoming hp from heals. Is this functionality available in Grid2 at this time?
GridManaBars
Very useful for me to know the state of raid mana - both as a raid leader and as a resto shaman to know when to drop mana tide for my groupmates.
GridSideIndicators
Is this built into Grid2 now?
GridStatusAFK
Very useful to be able to change the cell color of someone that is AFK and have the line 2 text change to AFK. Is this in Grid2?
GridStatusRaidDebuff
Such a handy addon for Grid. Any plans on this coming to Grid2?
GridStatusRaidIcons
Again, for those situations where DBM places a raid icon on a player, it's handy to see that show up on my Grid. Will Grid2 support this?
GridStatusRes
I see this is available for Grid2
GridStatusThreat
Does Grid2 let me know when (a) someone has threat and (b) when someone is getting close to pulling? Being able to know that some mage just got threat and is about to get spanked is quite useful as a healer.
Thanks to anyone that takes the time to respond to this...
So this is something in the UI menus for Assessment that I overlooked? Or are you talking in the code? If you can point me to the file/line number I'll happily change this myself in my version - though it'll get lost next time someone updates Assessment :(
nvm - I see how to change the "Text1" portion now. Just had to do some more poking around. Thanks.
You need to change the right text offsets of the actual timestamp to give it more space. ie. Text 1.

Assessments defaults are a bit small to read, but if I change the font size, the space reserved for the time stamps on say the death view don't adjust. Some screen shots:
while i can't tell you how to play, i think you're stunting your growth as a healer with that mentality. Your heals dont heal percents, they heal raw values, which is what grid shows. You'll find knowing the damage rate (how much damage being taken) as opposed to the time till death (how much % being taken) is infinitely more useful as far as choosing the right heal to use. Apart from that, keep the colors of the health bars inverted (full health = dark), and you'll find your eyes more easily noticing those emergency cases.
That's a bit arrogant no?
I don't care about picking the right heal. That's not even relevant to me. Mana is not an issue. What is an issue is urgency. Tools that help me make decisions about who is in the most urgent situation are the most beneficial. Hell, that's one of the best things about GridStatusIncomingHeals - I can see how much (more or less) is coming in on a target and make a decision to heal someone else first.
As a raid healer, damage rate is not as important to me as time till death.
Your approach to healing may work for you, that's fine, not going to tell you your wrong. Please don't tell me that my approach is wrong.
Grid was made for tiny displays, aka unit frames with a size of maybe 50x50 pixel. This leaves room for about 4 characters being displayed in that box, so using DogTags is probably an overkill.
And yes, I know someone added the option to change the width of each frame to "standard" size, but I really don't think this is what Grid was made for.
Well I play wow, I don't write addons :)
Are you offering to write a GridStatusHealthPercent addon?
I just want to see "deficit (current hp %)" as that would help me with the urgency of the heal. Yes I realize the entire cell is a percentage, but sometimes a number is infintely easier to process in my head than a strip of health bar.

Any suggestions?

Here's an example:
I can't seem to find any combination of settings that allows me to see the deficits of vehicles.
Any ideas? Suggestions?

I respectfully disagree, but whatever.
Thanks for the info on the other items though.

I looked at the embeds and noticed I had to
switch the order of
<Script file="Libs\AceOO-2.0\AceOO-2.0.lua"/>
and
<Script file="Libs\AceAddon-2.0\AceAddon-2.0.lua"/>
so the OO is before in
FuBar_MoneyFu/embeds.xml
and all was good.

I run with my UI scaling set to the minimum: .64

Can someone explain the difference between IH:Heals and IH:Target?
All I really want is to mark the bottom left corner with a square when someone, other than me, is healing that person.

Or maybe it'd be nice if it used the... DogTags API? (is that the right name?) that allows for semi-ace standard conventions here.

Oh that looks awesome - wonder why I never noticed it before...
