posted a message on How can I change Minecraft Version of a modpack?

    In reply to jmooroof:

The only way to change the mc version of a pack is to recreate the pack from the beginning. Once a custom profile is created you cannot change the mc version. You can only update/downgrade the modloaders version as well as the mod versions for that mc version.

This is designed like this for a reason as not all mods are compatible when the mc versions change. Just because they "should be" doesn't mean they will be.

posted a message on Approved Modpack File Not Showing up in CurseForge App

    In reply to MC_BrickWaffle:

Shows up fine for me, could have been it just needed some extra time to sync. Generally if it hasn't sync with the app after 24h then something may be up.

    In reply to liotto06:

If you have made projects on the site (approved or not) You can Click the Dashboard button then click View Projects. This will show you all the well projects you have started on the cf site.

Now do note if you have made custom modpacks in the app and have yet to create project for it / uploaded it to the site it will not show up in the apps search as those are still local to you, and you alone.

posted a message on Help with modpack: A thread.

    In reply to GoodBoysGambit:

So first off welcome to the Fun of creating modpacks ;) (I make em too)

    Optifine:

Optifine is well known to cause issues with other mods (bit of a dumpster fire) and similar issue to what your talking about. Usually the best fix is to just remove the mod and use something else. But if your friend wants to be stubborn about it I would recommend they talk with Optifines Support (discord can be found on their site). They will be better at helping with errors in their mod.

    Rubidium + Oculus:

Not as bad as optifine but like any texture/shadder/performance mods there will be issues. Part of the compatibilities issues with other mods. Best thing for this would be to talk to the Rubidium & Oculus authors. See if they have any ides. Or ultimately just try the pack without the mods all together and see if the issues stop. If they do defiantly talk to their respective devs.

    --------

Now the fun part: Be for I start is the server Crashing when you enter/render this chunk? OR does it just look weird textures wise?

Servers are always just a "blast" to debug, however from what I know if it was indeed a Corrupted chunk its more likely the server would full on crash not just act funky texture wise. Its most likely a mix of mods miss behaving on the client causing things to go funky or just some weird mix of errors, The servers logs may shine some light on this, or the clients log may as well.

posted a message on Why CurseForge so long time to approved my project

Working days for that team are Sunday - Thursday 10am - 6pm GMT+2 (Israel time)

They are off Fridays and Saturdays

Can upload your project anytime, It is a 1-3 working day wait for new projects or projects marked for manual review. If it takes more then 1hour then it has been marked for manual.

Do note, if your making a pack that is just for friends then just send them the zip file and they can import it into the CF app manually. Don't need to wait on the site to do this.

Try logging out on CF and then logging back in. From what I understand all that is handled by Twitch still...

posted a message on Update - FTB Presents Stoneblock 2

    In reply to HunterLunde101:

CurseForge doesn't own or maintain any of the content on the site, it only hosts it. You would need to ask the Packs authors to update their pack on the cf site. Otherwise I believe FTB moved all their packs to their own launcher. FTB Launcher

posted a message on Incomplete server tags

    In reply to Skropex:

Generally when you see this error it means the clients version of the pack does not match the server. Make sure the server and client are using the same version of the modpack. If it is a custom pack, make sure the mods, configs, etc, are the same versions on both sides.

If they are, please send new logs, as the ones you posted seem to have been deleted.

posted a message on Add Launcher logs

    In reply to mreizywastaken:

Have you looked in the "Install" folder? That is where it usually shows up for the cf app. To get there open your packs folder, go up 2 folders. Or the same folder where the Instances folder sits.

If your still having issues finding it hope on the cf discord, we can help figure it out there.

posted a message on Any mods that allow me to disable vanilla features/armor/tools?

    In reply to Game_Forge_:

Could try using the CraftTweaker mod. And use it to write "scripts" to remove either the recipes for items and/or hide them all together from the user.

The mod has a really good wiki as well for learning how it all works. Just make sure you pick the right game version your writing for.
