My contribution to this thread could be that I used to be a dedicated SciTE user 'till I got fed up of the tiny bit lacking regexp-support in the find&replace of it which I've gotten to utilize quite a lot, and am now using Notepad++ instead which with some configuring seems quite equal in features (most of the base of each is the same anyway, that Scintilla thingythingy which I know nothing about)
Find it to be small and neat enough to suit my needs

Dec 26, 2007Seeing this is the newest thread about Freerefills:Posted in: General AddOns
I use it for all kinds of small stuff like reagents, and took the liberty to fix it to use char-profiles by default again (Was very puzzled at first (and quite a lot lighter on the wallet) when I found five stacks of arcane powder and some teleport/portal stones on my warrior), and replaced the bunch of variables created in the loop with a select.
Hopefully I didn't break it, and I hope no one minds these :)
Dec 13, 2007For me it's always been a buff/debuff icon being stretched on the frame, and it happens only when I got some frame having it's auras only partially enabled, meaning only buffs or debuffs showing. Turning both on or off fixes it.Posted in: Unit Frames
This is with alt_auras, if it would make a difference, can't remember anymore

So if I edit the file to make the druid entry look more like the mage entry, but with a different hostile spell, it will work?
I wonder if PitBull checks to see if a spell can be cast on a particular target, and if it can it is considered in range.
For the classes I listed, it checks if a friendly spell is in range or not, if that fails it checks if target is an enemy (= in range) or not (= out of range).
The file to look and modify is /PitBull/PitBull_RangeCheck/RangeCheck.lua
Now, does this mean that a cycloned target will become out of range as it's considered immune? Anyway, why would my priest be considered out of range to herself?
Being in or out of range depends what the IsSpellInRange function returns, I don't think Cyclone affects it, and I can't say why the range-checker would fail on yourself on priest
Oct 26, 2007Looking at the code, for priest/druid/paladin/shaman hostile mobs/players will always show in-range by design (design's not the right word though...), so it's technically not a bug. Maybe a limitationPosted in: Unit Frames
Oct 25, 2007Not sure if this is any help, but so far I've noticed that this bug seems to appear (only?) when:Posted in: Unit Frames
a) Some (related) unit appears twice, like you have a focus and you target the mob you've focused, or you got ToT and pet-frames enabled and mob you're targetting is targetting your pet, and
b) You got (de)buff-filtering on on one of the related frames. Also seems to be the case if i.e. focus-frame has only buffs enabled but target-frame has both buff and debuffs enabled
Did that come out complicated enough?

3. We started a log and stopped said log for the raid, reloadedui and could view the log but could not do the eqdkp export. we had no option anywhere we could find to export? we all had the dkpmon_eqdkp mod loaded.
DKPmon_eqDKP is only for importing, DKPmon_XML is the module you want for exporting stuff (which is mentioned by the DKPmon_eqDKP plugin each time you log on, by the way ;))
Oct 21, 2007First of all, if I'm not mistaken, checking the "Lock Chat Settings" under Chat, in the Interface menu will make the tabs hide unless you mouseover the chat windowPosted in: General Chat
Then further on you can use Prat to completely hide the tabs you want with the Tabs module, if you use Prat to begin with, or don't mind getting it for the small benefit ;)
(I'm sure you could rip out the tab-hiding to a standalone addon too if you would want to)
Oct 16, 2007Apparently CastOptions uses the pre-2.0 way of doing things, casting stuff directly using script commands which were all blocked from non-Blizzard addons starting from patch 2.0Posted in: Addon Ideas
Don't think there's any other way than macros, and the main downfall is that you need a macro for each spell you want to behave this way. Could maybe be done with the secure actionbutton thingythingies, but I honestly know pretty much nothing about them.
Anyways, if you want to go the macro-way, here's how to cast something on enemy or if target is friendly then on the tot:
#showtooltip /cast [harm] [target=targettarget, harm] zomgSpell of Doom(Rank 666)
Oct 16, 2007I get the same issue occasionally, and I've also noticed that sometimes debuffs (maybe buffs too?) jump out a bit away from the rest of the debuffs and the colored border gets separated from them.Posted in: Unit Frames
As an example, a mob had debuffs on one and half rows when suddenly the fireball DoT shot up to the end of the third row and it's colored red border was one slot to the right of it.
I'm using the AltAuras-module, I haven't tested yet if it's the same with the normal aura-module
Oct 15, 2007I don't mind merging the two addons at all, I made this addon initially out of need for IncomingHealsLib interface for Grid which is used by most of my guilds healers, if there's other people also interested then cool.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
Better not clutter up the SVN with near-identical addons anyway.
I'll try to PM you in the following days Julith regarding the addons.
By the way, at the moment I'm trying to hack in together a PerfectRaid module/plugin/whateveryoushouldcallit for IncomingHeals ;)
Oct 14, 2007My guess is that the popup comes from Prat, you've set up your popups to monitor your combat log window too.Posted in: Unit Frames
Prat -> Enabled Modules -> PopupMessage -> Set Separately = True
...-> Show Popups -> Tick only the ones you want popups from
Oct 13, 2007Commited a fix to silly bug and option to hide your own heals now.Posted in: Grid & Grid2
I was trying to add some coloring to the indicators earlier today, but my initial try at it resulted in massive bloated non-working piece of junk so I need to look at it again :)
Oct 12, 2007Uhm, I made the GridStatusIncomingHeals module mainly as an extension to the normal IncomingHeals addon, and it's main functionality is to add a numerical indicator showing how much is people going to get healed for, using it as something else but a text-indicator I hadn't really concidered much yet :)Posted in: Grid & Grid2
Here's a crappy and too big screenshot showing too much irrelevant stuff:
The reason why I made my addon was that I didn't know GridStatusIncomingHealth existed, does it not work for you Acarya? I'm not 100% sure of exactly what you're asking for, but I can try to add it if it's within my reach as a coder :)
Oct 10, 2007I've noticed that if you just click click the editbox so nothing gets paint-selected, then it doesn't (usually?) crash, but more often than not if you paint-select something from a numerical editbox, WoW does a full crash.Posted in: Rock
Edit: Funny that I just got 3 straight crashes while configuring Parrot doing pretty much the same thing, changing some numerical values, and after posting this reply and just casually clicking and selecting to actually try to get it to crash and it's Rock solid... (Bad pun, I know :P)
