I'm a minimalist. Does it kill my computer that has 2 gigs of memory to have Omen3 loaded? No.
Does it bug me when I've tried to find the absolute most efficient code for every single function in my UI that 1 mod uses more than all the others combined? Yeah.
I guess I'll live with it until someone writes a low memory threat mod.

Oct 23, 2008Posted in: Raid AddOnsQuote from ArrowmasterMines only 182kb right now. You aren't allowed to quote memory usage if using embedded libraries. Its not accurate.
I'm not trying to quote anything. I'm trying to ask a question. That is allowed, yes? Omen3 is the only Ace Mod I have installed. The number I quoted is for Omen3 and all the libraries it requires. (Yes they are embedded.)
Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm trying to justify almost a full megabyte for a threat meter when the rest of my UI is less than half of a meg.
Currently the TipTac tooltip mod, at 62kb is telling me my percent of threat.
So is omen only so high because it's using Ace Libraries? And if so, why does it use Ace Libraries?
I'm not trying to be a dick or anything. I consider these fair questions.
Dec 1, 2006Hey guys... I have a very comprehensive, clean, and functional UI. But one thing it has always lacked was a good way to pick up untanked mobs. Currently I do so visually, because it is sort of obvious which ones are not tanked. But there are times where having a mod to tell me would make it easier as I don't always have the ability to pay attention to the entire raid when tanking certain enemies. I also use SmartTarget which tabs to the next target which is NOT targeting a warrior. This seems to work about half the time which leads me to believe it's just about the same thing as tab targeting anyways :)Posted in: General AddOns
Does anyone know a good mod that allows you to easily see untanked targets? I've tried PerfectTargets and that is a very nice addon, but it isn't really geared toward tanks as much as it is raid leaders and DPS.
An example of an addon that comes close to what I'm looking for is the X-Perl Raid Helper. This adds a frame to the MT list for every mob that isn't being targeting by a warrior.. but there are several downsides to this mod.
1. I'm not always targeting what I'm tanking. Specially when I have like 8 mobs on me :)
2. It requires I install other addon's which are somewhat buggy. Don't get me wrong.. X-Perl is a stellar mod, but where the author says the Raid Helper is standalone, it won't load for me without the main X-Perl mod also loaded, which is bloated with features that would simply sit idle and take up memory.
Sep 19, 2006Is there going to be a folder for oRA2 like this one for bigwigs?Posted in: AddOn HELP!
I was very sad because of the much less frequent updates with the new system since the SVN direct access was removed.
Now that I see this BigWigs folder hope is restored. Just curious if this is going to be done for all mods? Some mods? And if some... will oRA2 be one of them?
