    There is already an AddOn out there that is capable of customizing cursor sizes I think;

    posted a message on Local References
    Hey Guys,
    I just want to ask why, in all bigger AddOns, they reference functions
    Like this:
    local select, pairs, tostring = select, pairs, tostring
    (from TidyPlates Core)

    What does this line?
    When should I use it?

    posted a message on Packager packing from GitHub?
    Hi guys,

    Im working with WoW AddOns since a year now.
    All my AddOns I've created where little learning projects for myself.

    One month ago I've started my first AddOn wich is done now and I want to release it...

    I doesn't know the process to create a new AddOn on WowAce well...
    I am putting my files up on my GitHub repo but I didn't realy know if it is possible to let the packager packing the AddOn from GitHub...

    I've read some guides and set the HTTP link from my Git as the external Repository in my project and tagged it but it does't seem to work because my project hasn't files yet...

    If anyone here can help that would be nice!

    Hey Community,

    I have created a .tga file with 64x64 pixels and 32bit

    The Code looks like this:
    Icons = {}
    Icons.uc = "Interface\\AddOns\\VFrame\\Images\\uc"

    backdropS = {
    	  bgFile = Icons.uc,
    	  tile = false,
    	  tileSize = 20
    }

    View.icon:SetBackdrop(backdropS)

    I still get a green image..
    I don't know what i'am doing wrong...
    If anyone could see the mistake I would be grateful!

    Thanks, but isn't it so, that the Event tells me only that someone has won the match?
    But how can I get the winner?

    I could request the stats from everyone and look at their kills to get the winner, but if someone has left the arena... it's realy difficult.

    Hey Guys,

    is there one of you that knows how to figure out if the arena match was won or lost?

    If it is ranked I can calculate it with the the ranked infos but if it is a unraked match, how could I figure it out?

    posted a message on New SimpleUI Frame Designer
    Hey Community,

    I've created some AddOns (just trying some ideas , no real projects ) and every time the creation of the Frames are one of the most timeconsuming and annoying parts of creating an AddOn.

    So I decided to make a "Simple" designer where I can add UI Elements to a Frame in the designer and if I'am done moving and scaling the UI parts, I want to create the code wich I can add to my .lua !

    And this is what SimpleUI does, it lets you add, move, scale and size UI Elements and creates the code with name, text, size and anchor points!

    The Black Frame in the middle is the designer Frame wichs code is generated too at the end and all UI Elements are childs of that Frame!
    The outer Frame is the MainFrame where all Designer Buttons and Frames are added to.

    I created this AddOn for my own purpose!
    The functionality isn't 100% but i'am working on it!

    So Anyone who is interested: Pre-Realease
    The Git: Git-Hub

    There will be Updates in the near future!

    Functions:
    - Add Button
    - Add EditBox
    - Add FontString
    - Add DropDownMenu
    - Add CheckBox
    - Add Sub-Frame
    - Add Icon
    - Create Code
    - Modify UI Elements

    What I want to change:
    - Let the user set the Backdrop easier
    - Let the user set background images of the UI Element
    - User can change more attributes
    - Add UI Elements to Groups

    What I'am working on:
    - Let the user modify more attributes of the UI Element
    - Add Project Handling (Save/Load Projects)
    - Improving Structure

    Freshly developed for WoD [6.0.3] ;)

    posted a message on Creating dynamic named Widgets.
    EDIT:
    local frameTable = {}
    local frameCount = 0

    function SUI:AddButton(name)

            actFrameCount = frameCount + 1
            frameCount = frameCount + 1

    	local frame = CreateFrame("Button", actFrameCount .. ";" .. name, MainFrame, "UIPanelButtonTemplate")
    	frame:SetSize(80, 25)
    	frame:SetPoint("CENTER", MainFrame, 0, 0)
    	frame.text = _G[actFrameCount .. ";" ..name .. "Text"]
    	frame.text:SetText(name)
    	frame:SetMovable(true)
    	frame:SetScript("OnMouseDown", function (self, value) frame:StartMoving() end)
    	frame:SetScript("OnMouseUp", function (self, value) frame:StopMovingOrSizing() end)

      frameTable[actFrameCount] = frame

    end

    I'am now using this code where the table index can be split from the name and you can access any dynamicly created Frame through the name of it.

    Hope this helps someone who is searching for something like this.

    posted a message on Creating dynamic named Widgets.
    Hey Community,

    i'm working on an AddOn wich helps me creating UI's for other AddOns.

    So my plan was that I can create invinite Frames that are dynamicly created and should have the name I give them.

    function SUI:AddButton(name, text)

    	frame = CreateFrame("Button", name, MainFrame, "UIPanelButtonTemplate")
    	frame:SetSize(80, 25)
    	frame:SetPoint("CENTER", MainFrame, 0, 0)
    	frame.text = _G[name .. "Text"]
    	frame.text:SetText(text)
    	frame:SetMovable(true)

    	frame.move = CreateFrame("Frame", name .. "_move", Fname)
    	frame.move:SetSize(10, 10)
    	frame.move:SetPoint("TOPRIGHT", 10, 0)
    	texturers = frame.move:CreateTexture()
    	texturers:SetAllPoints()
    	texturers:SetTexture(0,0,0,1)
    	frame.move.background = texturers
    	frame.move:EnableMouse(true)
    	frame.move:SetScript("OnMouseDown", function (self, value) name:StartMoving() end)
    	frame.move:SetScript("OnMouseUp", function (self, value) name:StopMovingOrSizing() end)

    end

    I know thats this is not the way it can work...
    I tried something with tables but i got many errors and i don't now how to go ahead...

    If someone have a solution or a tip how I can fix it would be nice!

    MFG Max
