    There is no option to disable the highlightning right now... you can edit ag_UnitClass.lua though... search for self.Highlight:SetAlpha(0.5) and change it to self.Highlight:SetAlpha(0)

    There is another "hidden" SavedVariable for this but I think it will also stop highlighting of party and raid members.

    ["HighlightSelected"] = false,

    Industrial, I'd like to keep the shortened channelnames for predefined channels (bg, g, rw,...), but the channel1-channel7 abbreviations are causing me headaches as it seems they can't be turned off. The reason why I'm asking for this is that when logging into an instance the channel numbers are different than when logging into a city, as trade/... don't exist in instances. With the effect that my raiding class channels sometimes change their number - and I can't tell which channel I'm in when using idChat2 channelnames.

    (hope that was somewhat understandable)

    Well, I'd therefor like to suggest to offer something like:
    /idchat channelnames channel1 default
    which will display the default channelname.

    Ill add on'offs for every channel but thats a whole lotta code and tables for a few tiny options....

    Ok how about just one option then that is a toggle for all numbered chats? One setting would be "show channel names for numbered channels" and the other setting would be "show only numbers for numbered channels."

    Or is there no distinction that can be made via API to tell that a chat channel is custom and not built-in?

    1. please give option to turn of health bar coloring. hate it, and allways did =)

    Isn't that already available? Check your options, it's something to do with "class colors".

    class coloring is about coloring healthbar according to class
    the option i request is to turn off smooth coloring of healthbar when it delpets.

    I'm too lazy to see if this was already answered in the last 40ish pages. Here is what I did. There is a hidden (at least I couldn't find the option or slash command when I was looking) variable named SmoothHealthBars. If you add that to your SavedVariables file, something like [SmoothHealthBars] = "false", it will stop changing the health colors as health depletes.

    I got a summon in mid-flight to Silithus. The next time I was riding down there, the time counting down was the time I was in flight before getting a summon rather than the time of the full flight.

    As requested by some, i added the addon list by my UI: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php/topic,1764.msg39308.html#msg39308

    In OS X, if you select all files in a folder, hit Cmd-C to copy, and then Cmd-P to paste into a text editor, you'll get a plain text listing of your files. A bit easier to chew through than a screenshot of the folder window (although it does look nice).

    Windows: Open a command prompt in your addons directory ...

    dir /b /ad /on > addon_list.txt

    Open that file and copy/paste to your web browser.

    posted a message on Horde Razorgore strategy, please help.
    We make use of the strange pathing and the nice placement of the pillars of the four spawning points. Two warriors (or druids in bear form) kite all the dragons and legionnaires alone (with exception for other people that pick up aggro during the fight and also join the kiting path). We do not use snare totems because they cause problems. The kiters do figure eights using both platforms. The trick is to wait before leaping off until you see the enemies following you shift their pathing to head towards the stairs. If you go before that, they will intercept you on the way to the other side.

    Two healers on each platform shield and renew the kiters. There is usually a lock with them to fear away anything that aggros on the healers until it can be gathered up again.

    The hunters roam around pulling dragons and legionnaires to the middle to be kited and pulling any blackwing mages that got loose to the corners to be killed.

    Corner groups kill the blackwing mages under the spawning points. They are snagged by mages/locks/whoever with instant casts as soon as they spawn. If they get away and need to be pulled back, a caster can hit them and go hide behind a pillar. Thanks to line of sight, the blackwing mage will have to run all the way over to them and their own demise.

    If we volley at all, it's on the last egg just for laughs.

    posted a message on Request: Food/Water/Gem Conjure Helper
    The default UI would take 18 buttons to conjure all items I could want and 6 buttons to make use of the items I need for myself. I think 3 buttons sounds a little easier.

    Thanks for the suggestion, but that isn't quite what I'm looking for and also does too much. I like to keep things simple and have lots of smaller addons that only do very specific things and do them well. Otherwise I'd just use Cryolysis and be done with it.

    So, this comes about because I tried out Cryolysis recently and liked the food/water/gem buttons it presents, but didn't need most of the rest of the addon. Further, it uses 10+ MB memory and has 20+ KiB/s memory usage. The above request pretty much mimics what Cryolysis did, so credit them for the idea if it was original.

    posted a message on IceHUD
    I admit first I did not make it all the way through this thread yet, but I will go back and work on it.

    First, I am curious if there is a way to set IceHUD to have 0% alpha OOC, 50% alpha IC and OOC w/ target, *and* 50% alpha at any time, regardless of combat status, when missing health and/or mana. I only got to use it briefly, so I'm sorry if that is already the default and I was not paying enough attention. I would like the bars to show up if I take fall damage, cast a buff, switch gear (that affects max hp/mana), etc.

    Second, I saw some mention of the casting bar problem I had. I disabled the casting bar module because I would rather stick the old horizontal style. When I disabled the IceHUD casting bar module, the Blizzard cast bar returned, even though I am using Bongos cast bar already.

    I looked at the code (CastBar.lua) and I'm wondering if it is really necessary to reregister events to the default Blizzard castbar again. I commented out all CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent() statements and it works like a charm for me, but I was curious was the "best practice" actually is for something like this.

    function CastBar.prototype:Disable()
    	CastBar.super.prototype.Disable(self)

    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_START");
    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_STOP");
    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_FAILED");
    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_INTERRUPTED");
    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_DELAYED");
    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_CHANNEL_START");
    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_CHANNEL_UPDATE");
    --	CastingBarFrame:RegisterEvent("SPELLCAST_CHANNEL_STOP");
    end

    Thanks and keep up the great work!

    posted a message on Request: Food/Water/Gem Conjure Helper
    First, I admit to not having exhaustively searched this out, so please berate me and/or point me to a good addon that does what I'm requesting.

    Style

    3 Buttons: Food, Water, Gems.

    The food/water buttons should show a count of the best available conjured food/water in inventory.

    The gem button should show a cooldown timer (when applicable) until the next gem can be used.

    Functionality

    Food/Water

    Left Click: Eat/drink the best conjured food/drink available in inventory (or to keep it simple, the best the player can conjure).

    Right Click: Conjure the best food/drink available to the player.

    Right Click while targetting friendly player: Conjure the best food/drink the target can use.

    Gems

    Left Click: Use the gem that will give the most/least mana (configurable) that is available in inventory.

    Right Click: Conjure the next missing gem that will give the most/least mana (configurable).

    For now, I'm making due with Waterboyloc again until I find something better.

    Thanks for listening,
