Am I blind and missing an option or is there no way to set a graphical coin view? I'd love to see one if it isn't there already ;)

posted a message on looking for a sap announce mod
I could see this done with a requirement of making the sapped target your focus so the addon could watch its debuffs to see the timer and when Sap is gone. If anyone runs with this, know that Sap will never break early unless someone actively attacks (or possibly casts some particular debuffs on) the sapped target.

It would be nice to have a configurable message like "Sap breaking in X seconds on <target>." and an early break message "<Player/Pet> broke Sap early on <target>!"

This might be an unpopular thing to ask, but can the enfeeble timer for Prince phase 3 actually be put back in even though he doesn't do it? Melee use the enfeeble warning as a sign to run away before the shadow nova. I find that without the enfeeble countdown for phase 3, the shadow nova warning by itself is not giving me nearly enough time to run out. Now I can just guess and run away on my own, but I'd like to maximize the time I can stay in there.

    Thoughts?

I gave this a shot but /priceper doesn't seem to be a valid registered slash command. Course then I went back to r36848 before I added the diff and noticed the slash command didn't work for me in the first place.

First off, thanks for the addon. It has much potential. Second, I'm sorry I don't have a version number for you since I'm at work, but I picked up whatever was on files.wowace.com Friday evening.

I set it up to only see one bar because that's all I care about until a boss dies. Then I clear all the bars (annoying process right now, btw) and let it pick up the next enemy. The problem was that at some point during a raid, a second bar would show up despite my option setting of only showing 1. No error or anything, just "tada, have another bar."

    Hello!

I am testing this addon at this time (but mostly on solo questing, with my pet *g*).
I am a little bit confused by the two rows "Ranged Aggro gain" and "Melee Aggro gain". Can someone explain that to me?

And i saw no options, are there any?

Aggro gain bars show how much threat someone must reach to pull aggro if they are in melee range (Melee Aggro Gain) or at range (Ranged Aggro Gain). This is because you need 110% threat to rip aggro while in melee range and 130% threat to rip from a distance. It can be helpful to see those hard figures but I wish there was a way to disable them individually.

Added a new module NPC Tags earlier today which provides information such as "Banker", "Blacksmith" etc if enabled.

    Very awesome, indeed. Thanks much.

However, r33405 is still interfering with other addons. Saw the comments about AceEvent, but that wasn't it. I went down the list deleting Aloft libraries until all the other addons worked again. The culprit seems to be AceConsole or a combination of libraries alphabetically up to and including AceConsole.

On an unrelated note, I am curious about the Visibility options. If I enable hostile and friendly nameplates and then toggle the visibility of friendly NPCs, when I get in nameplate range of them, there is neither a nameplate nor regular text above their heads. I could swear I saw a comment about this previously but I couldn't find it or a reply.

Unfortunately, this is out of my control - if you have nameplates on, the game stops displaying text for it. If I turn off the plate conditionally... then there's nothing left on screen for that NPC.

Thanks for the reply. I'll go ahead and try out Automaton then and see if having friendly nameplates disabled while out of combat is workable.

Edit: Supposing that is even possible, anyway. The Automaton wiki page (though potentially very outdated) mentions only disabling hostile nameplates. In any event, I'll get over it.

First of all, this is a very interesting idea and it is coming along well. Good job all around.

I remember in TBC beta an option was available about it under Interface. Would be nice to know if the variable or something is still here over and around hide in the cfg files^^
Same to me range is way to low.

    ...

I'm guessing that the range was low because the built in ones were so obtrusive, and extending their distance would have just crowded the screen.

    ...

To weigh in on the current nameplate distance, it may or may not be coincidental that when you approach a hostile mob (with typical aggro radius) that is about even level with yourself, they will spot you and attack just a few steps beyond when you first see the nameplate appear.

If the game is the limiting factor here, are you provided with enough information for any workarounds? I believe I read that all you get is a name and nameplate color, but does the name happen to contain any of the extra information on NPCs, such as <Blacksmith> or <Poison Vendor>? If so, perhaps the text could be recreated when you enter nameplate range. I'm guessing no, but let me keep running with this tangent. If there was a way to capture the floating text you see on NPCs and players at any distance (or even only if at close range), perhaps a new module or addon could be made to replace that text altogether, in much the same way Aloft replaces the nameplates.

Suggestion for later or another module:

If Rosterlib can provide information on who is still alive, how about dimming out dead players on the list but showing a skull or X as their centered icon? Maybe just reuse the textures for raid target icons if possible.

If it helps your decision of whether to bother coding it, know that intelligent use of mana gems during combat will certainly not work once the expansion comes out. As far as I can tell, mages will need to have all four (five?) gems on action buttons before going into combat or use them out of your inventory.

    maia:

    Frame Keybindings
    * You can now bind keys directly to frames: SetBindingClick("KEY", "frameName"[, "mouseButton"])

The click is implemented as a mouse down when the key is pressed, and a mouse up when the key is released.

Perhaps there is hope afterall, although I don't know how you would use modifiers off the top of my head.

I see no reason for the expansion changes to affect this mod. Only addons that auto-target and cast spells will become broken from what I have been reading.

Possibly slightly off topic, but I hope that if it isn't added into this addon, someone does something similar for decursing.

In any event, how about preconfigured sets of options that can be chosen from a list while out of combat? For example, someone could have an option set that always dims all classes but warriors and an option set that always dims everyone that isn't in groups 1 and 2. It can be annoying having to tinker with individual settings in such addons before the next fight or even during it, which we might not be able to do anymore.

Heck, this would be a welcome feature in just about any addon with lots of adjustable settings that could be tailored often depending on context. I suppose what I'm basically asking for are profiles that reach beyond what is capable with the standard global/server/class/character choices. I'm imagining a FuBar button that shows a Tablet on mouseover with a list of option sets. Ok now I'm way off topic.
