Would there be any way to get camera information? Or set camera information?
Would something like.... zoom into first person view, adjust camera + character angle, then zoom back out to the initial distance? It might not tell us what pitch the character is at, but at least it would level the character off...
Just trying to reach for more ideas :P

Jan 31, 2007I've been playing around with AGUF for a little bit trying to get the pets bars to work in a similar fashion as to the default unit frames. Ive looked around these forums for a little bit and have not been able to find anything, except problems similar to what i am seeing and no real solution.Posted in: Unit Frames

How would the mod know the difference between flying up and flying down?
You would not be able to. It's what i meant when i stated that "just wont be able to determine if the angle is positive or negative"

I do not really know what that means. I was just trying to be creative in trying to solve the problem of the original poster. I wasn't sure if it was all possible.

So, lets say you are flying straight north. lets say you can fly at a speed of 2 yards north every second. If the player is not level on the Z axis (either way), the player would slow down. let's say to 1.5 yards per second. Based on some 3 dimensional geometry, we should be able to determine the angle, just wont be able to determine if the angle is positive or negative, but should accomplish the original poster's need to know when he is level.
Because this relies on speed, the mod author would need to know the expected flight speed of the mount and determining if you are level or not would not work until the player starts to fly, not when standing idle.
Not sure if this is realistic, but might be something to look into.
