Is there a way to setup the layout so that it does not alphabetize the groups? I did some searches in the forums and did not come up with anything...

It would be great to have an addon keep track of how much damage is mitigated through the paladin's ardent defender talent. It would also be nice if it could calculate the paladin's total "usable" health assuming ardent defender absorbs an amount of damage.

    Ardent Defender, Rank 5
When you have less than 35% health, all damage taken is reduced by 30%.

i work i raid . and yes i still have time to set up my ui ( granted its alot of addon that ive seen others use :D but hey most are just reworked . and i have 3 kids so there is NO excuse to have to pay someone to make you a ui . its plain and simple your LAZY and do not want to learn

I am sorry, but i think that this kinda attitude is what i think stinks about these forums...there's just no need for it.

The house you live in, is it built by your own bare hands? or are you just plain and simply lazy? you don't want to learn how to build a house? how about how to pave the roads you drive on? or how to process paper that you write on? or process the rubber that are on the tires of your car?

    just quit judging people.

posted a message on UI Screenshots - Show us what you use!
I am designing a UI based on Caiths UI. I've been reading a bit on how to make/setup good UIs. One of the things that is recommended, is to talk to a "Color Expert" - I am, by no means, an expert at anything remotely close to colors...

So, i was wondering - Would anyone be kind enough to post three shades of colors that that would look nice in a UI that has a lot of black? I am thinking of blueish greyish colors.

    Thanks in advance!

posted a message on eePanels2 - Official Thread
I've been having trouble getting the parent-child functionality to work properly.

I have two panels: childPanel and parentPanel - each of these panels have a different and distinctive color. the blend mode for both is set to disabled.

I set the level of childPanel to 2 and parentPanel to 1.

I've set the parent of childPanel to be the window name of parentPanel (retrieved via the macro in the wiki).

I then notice that childPanel disappears. If i unlock the parentPanel, the childPanel is then visible. I lock parentPanel and it's invisible again.

Is there anything in particular that i am missing or doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

Or parent the panels to eachother, and increase the height and width to 105% and 110%.

I tried to do it this way, and i am sure i did something wrong, but the "child" eepanel would always take on the same color as the parent - either that or the child panel would disappear once i set the parent.

Doubtful. You probably just needed to change the child panel's level so that it would appear above the parent.

I forgot to mention that i did set the parent to level 1 and the child to level 2. I also played around with the strata to see if it would help at all. - one thing that i notices was that if i unlocked the parent panel, the child panel would then be visible and positioned where i expect it. but as soon as i locked the parent, the child panel would disappear as i stated earlier.

From my understanding, working with parent-child panels is the way to go. Seems to me as if it would be WAY easier to manage panels this way - where you can move the parent and all of its children would move with it.

Sorry for going so off topic on this thread.

I used this macro to find the eePanel frame name: /print GetMouseFocus():GetName()

Waht about the adding of the ability to FuBar_BagFu so that it opens the key ring bag also which i click it as i want to be able to remove my bags from my ui

I use Bartender, and what i do is setup the bag bar so that it is invisible until i pass my mouse over it. So, it gives the UI a very clean look yet i can still get to my bags without a problem.

    for the stats:

for the alt-bag-count maybe, i am not sure which does the tooltip.
    cowtip, Mendeleev or CharacterInfoStorage

The alt bag count is supplied by sanity.

    Also...
Unit frames for each of the targets (with threat bars like aloft) would be nice for a paladin tank to figure out how much threat he is spreading around when aoe tanking.
