I have been patching most of the mods I run to use ChatThrottleLib, it helps so much, and I dont notice any slowdown at all.
Since its such a political hot-potato, perhaps throwing another mod into the mix could help.
Since there are 2 issues with the addon channel
1) outbound data rate control
2) duplicated inbound event checks (1 from each mod - to see if its their's)
Why not create a proxy that allows the *user* to control which addons use CTL and what priority they communicate at. Also, inbound event routing would mean just 1 mod processing the event then passing it on to the mod that it belongs to.
It would tie everything together - as a developer i dont want someone else to mess with my mod, as a user, i want some control over what the mods are doing - especially if im gettting disconnected.
i'd think about right-click vs double click, because several mods have a 'click once to cast, click again to cancel' function, so you dont hvae to strafe/jump to cancel a spellcast.
Once you use right click casting it makes so much sense its hard to imagine it any other way.
i still use the first one - well, cause it works 100% and does nothing else but add right-click selfcasting - without interfering with any of my other cast mods at all

It turns out it was an unauthorized fork of this original which was maintained up until 1.11.

Are you planning on continuing development for a SWS2 version? Can i contribute in any way?
