    Battlegrounds chat:

I recommend the following mod to assist with chat enhancements in the BG's

    http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=3106

It is just part of a larger mod SSPVP by Shadowd. I'd like to assure compatibility with it, but would rather that it and not Prat handled the BG specific chat functionality.

You only need this one mod for the chat enhancments, not all of SSPVP. I spoke with Shadowed yesterday, and hes willing to make sure that his mod and Prat work well together, so please try it out and post your thoughts. It is LoD too which is quite nice.

EDIT: the correct version is in the SSPVP beta download, so i have attached it here as well

Recentlty many new features have been added. I'd like to get some input from the users so that the Prat team can discuss how best to reorganize the menus.

Given the existing modules, can you suggest some logical groupings for the functionality they contain?

The one thing that will meet with some resistance from me is removing any module into a separate addon, as the 'all-in-one' solution is what i like most about Prat.

Also, if you have requested or submitted a feature, please help document it. Post it here, and I'll update the Wiki page.

the linkinvite function needs to check the standard channel, say,guild,whisper,etc... not the text in the console, because i get error with guild motd for example when it says "naxxrammas, w xxx invite"

Yeah, the person who requested it hasnt replied to my tells about testing it. it also needs to ignore the trade channel and a few other things. It still in development though.

/target playername still triggering the secure frames error. Could have sworn this was fixed but it's back in 20077

Might be wrong. Love the mod. Thx for the work...

Please provide a version number. Also what other mods do you run.

Oddly enough I thought the number 20077 was a version number. I have a lot of mods 90% of which are ace. That aside this is old bug and I suspect it has something to do with telltarget.

I misread what you said. But i posted already that you shouldnt report bugs for old versions.

Updates to the latest version before you make a bug report.

I would love to be able to disable the options menu on ctrl-rightclick feature. I use Clique and it makes me unable to bind anything to that combination.

I fixed it temporarily by changing ag_UnitClass.lua, line 1336:

    function aUF.classes.aUFunit.prototype:OnShowMenu(unit)
    if (IsAltKeyDown() and IsControlKeyDown()) then

To access the agUF menu you would need to hold down CTRL and ALT otherwise you get the blizzard menu.

The second addon I ever wrote was called FilterAFK. Basically I got tired of talking to people who had their /dnd or /afk messages up, and repeating it every time I sent them a message.

So all it does is catch the CHAT_MSG_AFK and CHAT_MSG_DND, records who the sender is, and the message we got. If it's seen that message from that person already, it filters it via the hooked ChatFrame_OnEvent method.

I think this would be a perfect, really simple Prat module. I can give you my crappy code for it if that'll make things easier, but it's not complicated at all.

We have to worry about tainting now, if it weren't for that things would be easier

Is there any possiblility that the function Prat_Buttons:MakeReminder can be updated to:

    ...

It uses the chat scroll buttons and highlight, and plays a sound when you use the scroll to bottom button. This just has a better look and feel to it.

    Hi,
I really like this mod and that's why this error annoys me so much. I'm not sure if it's classified so much as an error.

When Prat is enabled I no longer have an MC bar available to me ( as a priest), and I heard this might be due to 'tainted' code in Prat. Sorry I can't be more specific but this problem also occurs with CT_raid. La Vendetta used to have it but since 2.10 it has been 'untainted'

It has nothing to do with Prat. Its a blizzard bug, you should do a /console reloadui (or /rl) before you expect to use MC

Have you tried setting the chat buttons to be drawn on the chat frame, and then enabling the chat buttons for that chat frame?

I dont'thave an issue with the buttons working, it's just an update to the actaully images being used the current implementation uses a the standard scroll button and tab highlight that is just off. What I'm asking is that it uses the Chat scroll button and highlight.

I hear you, i added an option already that lets you display teh chat scroll buttons on the chatframe. Try turning it on to see if you like it.

Some of you may wonder how to go about getting a feature added to Prat.

Being new to the team, I'll tell you about my philosophy on enhancement requrests:

This is a collaborative work, so the more effort you put forth, the more likely it is that your requests will be fulfilled.

I generally add features to Prat that I like personally, unless i see a real need for a requested feature, I generally wont add it, unless the person making the request has put forth some effort on thier own, in which case i generally try to assist.

Here are some things you can do:

    1) Code it yourself. or some of it, or get matierials which will help the developer implement the feature, ie (other mods with the feature, screenshots etc.)
    2) Get on IRC and find one of the Prat developers, you might catch them when they have some free time. Be prepared to assist in the process. It is customary when requesting a feature that you assume responsibility for testing it.
    3) Assist the project in other capacities, ie, help with documentation, translations, moderate forum posts and help answer questions.

Forum requests are placed solely on the developer to research, code, and test, so they tend to be handled at a much slower pace

    Syl
