This is downloading off of curse.com right? it's not pulling down alphas and betas from wowace/curse? .... because that's what it looks like?

well for me it decets most from wowace.com/projects... for ex. GridStatusMissingBuffs there is r51 on wowace.com/projects while on curse there is still latest "old" acesvn version (80k something), sadly when you try to update you get

    GridStatusMissingBuffs 3.0.2.00 (TOC) r51

10:24:52.907 Thread #5: Updating GridStatusMissingBuffs from wowace
10:24:57.449 Thread #5: Download Link for GridStatusMissingBuffs incorrect

everything that should download from wowace, gives incorrect links :<

Every beta/release tagged update on WoWAce goes without delay to Curse too... and end-users shouldn't download any alpha version.

clearfont2 for example, some grid plugins, whisperfu (from top of my head) are addons that have no active developer and working versions are not taged, you can get working versions on project page, while the ones on curse are not working on 3.0. Here is main problem in addons with no active developer and im not considering my self as end user anyway (or well maybe currently i am, but i dont have attitude of "end" user ;))

ps: and when did my post count reseted? :(

Since www.wowace.com/files is discontinued, could you instead use www.wowace.com/projects like for example http://www.wowace.com/projects/ag_unitframes/ ?

i would also like this two options for wowace/projects and curseforge, we can argue all day long that "end" user shouldnt be downloading from there and i might also agree but fact is that addons will get fixed there MUCH faster then on curse/wowi and i wouldnt mind, if during checking this 2 sites are intentionaly ignored, but at least i want to be able to set them manualy.

    Because as it currently stands:

    - Latest fixes are only avilable on "developer" sites, for me about ~10 addons DOES not work from curse with 3.0 patch, while you can get working versions on wowace and yes maybe someone should tag it for curse, but i dont expect anyone will since some of them are semi dead projects that does not get updated by original authors but by random people

    - Currently THERE is _NO_ addon that could update from those developer sites and i (and probably A LOT) of people would want to be able to update from there.

    - People will say "just use SVN/GIT/HG", here is other problem. I wasted half of day today trying to make some simple script that would update my favorite addons on my linux router twice a day and then share them to me over lan. As easy as it sounds... ITS NOT! why? If you want embeded libs, you would need to make complicated parsing script for .pkgmeta that would checkout libs seperatly for each addons according to .pkgmeta file (this is needed because svn:externals is with MOST addons not set or its set wrong), if you try to use disembeded libs, you AGAIN need that parsing script, because some (most?) addons have LibStub & LibDataBroker (maybe some other essential lib?) set as external in .pkgmeta and you would need to check them out seperatly again. Currently its kinda IMPOSSIBLE to have addons updated from those two sites, unless you are pro at coding or have a lot of free time and will to learn

edit: figured out why because they are not in http://www.flauschig.ch/transfer/mappings.xml also when it updates from wowace it says that download links are incorrect ;<
