Why don't you just filter out the ones you don't want then?

    Quote from Kagaro »

at the same time people were bitching they didnt get herb notes on their mining toons. The base funcationality of Cartographer is to send a note. Right click a note in cartographer and it gives you an option to send a note to a player/raid/guild channels. It doesnt care who/what made the note (the creator btw is most cases is the same as the modules DB) it just sends it. You get the same behaviour in metamap, and ct_mod mapnotes. Noteshare adds a way for you to filter out what you dont want. If noteshare is adding notes you dont want then I would suggest you actually configure it, the default behavior is to turn everything on, simply turn off what you dont want.

I'm not sure I see how not getting herb notes on mining toons is relevant to receiving notes when you don't have Noteshare or the module that note is for installed. It makes no sense to be receiving everyone's notes for things I'm not even keeping track of with Cartographer, and even less sense that I'd be receiving broadcasted notes at all when I don't have Noteshare installed. If you're going to make all users need to use Noteshare to manage what notes they will be forced to get via broadcasting, why not just make that a part of Cartographer itself instead of a module? Isn't the point of modules so that you install what you want and don't bother with what you don't?

Postal is the new name for GMail. Gmail is/was included in several compilations and has a very large userbase. Postal is in branch and not trunk until it has more testing since its a dramatically different mod and I don't want people deleting their bank-alt inventories if there is a problem.

So.. if Postal is a dramatically different mod from Gmail, it doesn't matter if Gmail was in several compilations or had a userbase. o_o Postal doesn't seem like a new name for Gmail so much as an entirely new mail mod from the same author; calling it just a new name implies it's the same mod when it really isn't.

edit: Trying to make my point clearly, but it doesn't seem to be working.

    Feature Request:

    More robust curse/dispel notification

I use Grid as my party frames as well as my complete raid set. When I know that curses are coming, or I don't have as many responsibilities it is easy to watch for curses and clear them. When I'm working in a small group situation though it is harder to notice when a party member is cursed, as I'm paying more attention to the surroundings and situations going on. Something that could help would be either a (toggleable) audible notification when someone is cursed (just as a reminder to now check the frames and clear it), or an interfacing with MSBT/SCT to print out an event to their visual areas.

As a mage I would love to see Audio alerts in Grid (Curse, Missing Debuffs, etc). I know that this is the avenue that the author of RDX took with his Grid clone (I dont advocate paying for RDX btw just a comment). Really this is the only thing that has prevented me from using GRID as my main set of raid frames -- i'm paying attention to everything else going on and as a non-healer am not used to watching those raid frames aka. whack-a-mole.

    Check out this thread.

I'm not sure if any of you have noticed that the author of the addon itself hasn't responded to your posts about bugs & requests in a long time.. If you'd like for your issues to actually be read/considered I'd suggest doing what the author asked (pretty sure he posted this, and it's his sig for crying out loud).

Please report bugs or suggestions for ag_UnitFrames here:

posted a message on GMail (A CT_MailMod Replacement)
    Quote from BlackZam »

Its the small things that does it. Like GMails return mail button.

It wasn't "GMail"'s return mail button, that was a feature added after users who previously used this version of CT_MailMod realized they didn't have the return button and asked for it. I would hope Grennon is above updating the mod in its current form after the author of the original this mod copied/was ported from asked for its removal, and considers rewriting it completely instead.

But since he said he's having a party now that he's free of this mod, I'm guessing the chances of that happening are pretty slim?

Found the answer before I came back to this thread, but thanks for your help anyways!

Funny, I never expected there to be such an elitist community amongst modders, most of them are pretty down to earth.

It's not an elitist community so much as a community of humans who get fed up when asked the same thing over and over and over again when the answer is readily available with 2 seconds of work.

    - Is there any way to show my own Renew buffs differently than other priests' ? I'm not good at counting to 15 mentally for 5-6 people at the same time :-p it would help tremendously to know which people have MY renew, and which have somebody else's, so that I can cast appropriately, since Renews are now stackable.

Is there any way to get the indicators to display differently for auras you have placed on a target then for those placed by others? Specifically Heals over Time, now that they stack, I would like to have separate indicators for other druid's Rejuvenation spells and my own Rejuvenation casts. Is this possible within the current framework or would a separate module have to be made?

This is not possible, and can not be created. As far as your client is aware, there is no difference between the HoT you cast and HoT other player has cast. This information is kept server-side.

If all you want is to track your Renew on people, you might want to take a look at HotCandy.

I also have a question/feature request.. Is there any way to see the castingbar for your target with ag_UF? I can see it when using the default UI, but I haven't found a way to turn it on while using ag_UF.

I just got in the beta so please forgive me if this is completely noob, but we can't switch bars/pages anymore? I keep my healing spells on bar1 & damage/buff spells on bar2 and can't seem to switch between them with Shift-1/Shift-2.

edit: Just tried to set the scale on bar2 and got this error (copied&pasted from bugsack):
