    Hi, this question is directed more at other users of ArkInv rather than the coding folk. Anyone else run into an issue where two items have the same ID number and therefore can't be separately allocated into different rules?

    In this case it's two Aquamarine Rings of ... where I want one for a healing set and another for a dps set, but they both have the same ID.

    Is that correct? Should they have the same number? And if so, has anyone else gotten around the problem..

    Their ID maybe the same, but their link is not. If you look at the Debug info for the item that AI gives (right click an item in edit mode), you'll notice the item's link, a string starting with the item's id. The suffixID, or seventh number is the number that IDs the item as '...of the x'. For more info on item strings, you can look at the WoWWiki page for Item Strings.

    As for actually separating them in AI, I'm sure there is a way, but I'm not sure how.

    The reverse ARL functionality will be added with the new GUI by Zhinjio. :)

    Thank you! Anything that will allow me to cut down on the number of addons I use is a good thing. When I'm replacing the addon with the best recipe addon EVER, is just pure awesomeness!

    I may seem dumb, but how frequently does your branch update in svn? It didn't update in ~2 weeks...

    Just because an author doesn't post every change as he makes it to the SVN, doesn't mean he's not making them. ;) As long as the addon isn't breaking things or broken itself, no need for an update.

    hmm... well, there's a clear button right there if you wanna clear your search. i dunno about clearing on close because sometimes you've done a search for something and need to go get some mats or something so you'd have to go back and re-enter your search to get back to where you were.

    i could have it clear on log, i suppose. i've been meaning to add a forced inventory scan on log just to make sure everything's up to date.

    Having it clear between logging would be perfect. I realize there is a clear button, but I often forget that I have put in search text, and it'd be nice if Skillet forgot too, at least between sessions. ;) Yeah I'm asking for an 'idiot proof' feature. :p

    Apologies if I missed this in the last few pages, but could the filter search please be made to reset when either the Skillet window is closed or upon logging off. It's petty, I know, but it's also irksome to have a search up from who knows how long ago. :p

    Also, out of curiosity, why did you move and change the arrow graphic for the clickable reagents? It made sense where it was. I'll get used to it up top, I'm sure, just curious of the reasoning behind the cosmetic change. :)

    Thank you for such a great addon. :D

    Is there any reason when I right click and "link" the pattern it comes up with one of those weedy blue ones rather than the more attractive yellow ones? ;)

    I understand about the not shift clicking as before but I thought I'd get the same type of link.

    I get a few WTF?s off people.

    Blue is prettier than yellow. Plus, it makes your links stand out more. ;)

    sadly, no. i will add that. the tooltip only describes the "hide uncraftable" filtering aspect, not the right-click menu.

    unless people hate the method, in which case i might just go ahead and put the inventory toggles right on the main frame without the need to pull them up (tho i think that might be a bit crowded).

    Next time just let us know that we need to right click (or insert any other non-intuitive way here) to get to this or that. ;) I don't mind it being hidden, just tell me where it hides so I have the upper hand. ;)

    i know people complained about something like this with the main trunk version of skillet, but i didn't know if it persisted in my branch. just to verify, you are using my branch right?

    Your branch hasn't been laggy for any of my crafters in quite sometime. Even my engineer and alchemist are crafting with no lag... now if only I could make more than one item before it decided to just stop, life would be perfect! (and yes, I know you're trying to work on that, just teasing ya!) ;) Great job.

    I have both a guild bank of my own for storing acess mats, and a normal guild bank that i don't have free acess to.

    So for me atleast having guildbank in would just mess things up, would be better to have it as a separate plugin. (i use altoholic to keep track of what the guildbank has)

    Agreed. I have access to four guild banks. Two are my own, and two are actual guild banks. Unless you could ensure that guildbank wouldn't even passively show (like how now even if you have 'Include bank and alt contents' unchecked it still shows the items that could be created if you have 'Only show recipes you have mats to make' checked).

    Hi.

    First things first. This is the best bag addon there is, bar none.

    Second. Can we have the buttons back for rules and search please, or post some copy / pastable code we can add to do it ourselves ?

    Just a minor thing, but i do a lot of rule editing (millions of alts FTW) and find it more convenient to have the buttons accessible.

    Other than that, keep up the good work on a cracking addon :)

    They only went into hiding. Just click the < button and both Rules and Search will be at the bottom. ;)

    posted a message on Font color question.
    Thank you for the responses. After a couple more hours of head banging, I found I had an old addon in my code folder. I have no idea when or where I got it, but it's exactly what I wanted to mess with. When first learning lua, working with 100 lines of code is far more manageable than 3600+ lines. ;)

    Since the code in the second addon is much simpler, it was a simple matter of just doing the following:

    newLine = QualityID:Color(newLine, rarity)

    function QualityID:Color(text, rarity)
      local _, _, _, hex = GetItemQualityColor(rarity)
     return tostring(hex) .. tostring(text) .. "|r"
    end

    I've tested quite many complicated tradeskill addons before staying with Skillet even through problems brought about by recent patches. It is a neatly done addon indeed.
    I would like to ask nogudnik to add one feature though.
    As a tailor I have lots of recipes to craft in my crafting window but generally I craft only few of them daily.
    Would it be possible to add a list of favourites as a sorting option in Skillet? It would help me immensely.

    nogudnik is MIA, which is why Skillet hasn't been updated in quite awhile. LilSparky has a new, evolved version of Skillet (Lil'Sparky's Skillet forum thread, the .zip is on the first page). His version has the option to only show items you can make. It's a little buggy and shows far more than can actually be created (possibly thinks the items are in my inventory when really they're in my bank/alts), but it definitely narrows down the list and makes it easier to find those 'daily' recipes.

    posted a message on Font color question.
    I'm messing with an addon trying to change it's text color to the item's quality. The addon displays the itemid and level in the game tooltip. The addon uses Ace2.

    So far, the code to modify the color looks like this:

    --Localize Globals--
    local i = 0, 6

    --Saved Variable--
    --Default values
    textcolor = {r = 1, g = 1, b = 1, hex = GetItemQualityColor(i)}

    The color is yellow, instead of the item's quality.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Another minor issue is mining bags don't have their own highlight color like other profession bags.

    Then give it its own color? Just goto the main options, goto Empty Bag Slots, Slot Colors, and then click on the color square next to the mining bag, choose your color and click Okay. :D
