    Hi all, just a quick heads up again as i'm heading out on a job now. I'm loving the suggestions, and have a few more of my own too i've just had a bit of writers block but feel the urge coming to blast my way through some of these ideas.

    In the meanwhile for those interested, SR has been updated to work with WotLK, but sadly i've had to remove one important feature. Tooltip scanning. This means spells wich dont produce an aura will now not create a bar, but i'd like to stress this is temporary. I'll have a work around as soon as the logic in my head corrects itself.

    I'll make some comments on the great suggestions a little later today.

    wonderful! thank you both for your replies.

    I did test that 8th return in 8770 but it was actually the old untilCancelled back then, in fact i seem to recall it being the same in 8788 too.
    There I was thinking my posts in the eu forum were for naught!

    Do we know what will happen with other updaters, i'm hoping there will be improved support to allow other updaters to link to WowAce and Curse. i'd love to see XML responses to searches and more dynamic psyn files, which would address the problem with scraping (which probably makes up a noticable portion of the bandwidth usage).

    I've got to admit I didnt fully read the enormous threads regarding WAU, WowAce and Curse, but i have a number of points which were very scattered across the threads so i've decided to condense my questions into a separate post. I hope you dont mind.

    With 3.0 comes changes to aura processing, and i've run into a problem. This relates only to querying auras on "player".

    Pre-LK UnitBuff would NOT return "duration" for spells on "player" if those spells were not cast by the player (it would return nil, or zero, dont recall which). It did however return the "TimeLeft", so it was still possible to display remaining time for buff mods.

    On the current build (8770) the new Aura functions UnitAura/UnitBuff now return "duration" for all spells. I now have a problem detecting if these spells were cast by the player themselves, or by another player.

    Does anyone know of any other way i can query for this information without tracking the combatlog for the caster?

    i do need to rethink the spell options table, but i need some more information if you dont mind. Is it specifically reincarnation you want to disable, or all cooldowns?

    hi, verified the bug with the bars, i'll have a fix for it soon. the problem you had with cold snap is also now fixed on my development version.

    EDIT: Fixed the problem with bars, it was actually being created, but i wasnt setting a position for it *oops*.
    Also added a "reset position" option of individual bar groups (so you can reset the one you have created that isnt visible)
    I've also changed the bar refreshment, i kept the event bucketing but dropped it to 0.25 seconds, and made update after all auras have been processed (instead of a refresh between each unit). Hopefully this will fix any more problems with speed and cpu usage.

    i posted about this before but it seems to have been lost amongst the other posts. Harm and help are prioritised over posession. So if you have bar1 set as your posession bar you MUST remember to remove your target before you turn into a ghost or you'll be button mashing on the wrong bar!

    Hi, do you mean you still had cooldown bars for the first WE and IV ? (they persisted through the cold snap?) If so then its a bug and no hardcoding is required specific for those spells (moreover i dont intend on hardcoding any spells ever, where theres a will theres a way!). I probably just forgot to add a check to remove cooldowns that expired early.

    As for more spell options, its something i'd love to do, ideally i want every global option available as a per-spell option too. including text/audio notifications on ending/ended, bar scales, perhaps even fonts although i see that as being a bit OTT. The main reason i havent done this yet is that so many people say that configuration takes too long, or that its too complicated. Admittedly SR is not for the feint hearted, certainly not for the braindead, but i feel that infinite customisation and usefulness far outweighs extra initial configuration time, and i'm prepared to say "sorry you cant comprehend the awesomeness of SR" to those who dont want to take the time to learn how to use it properly! ^^

    Bottom line, i'll have your cold snap issue fixed later this evening and stay tuned for more customisation. I'll probably roll more options out over the next week or three.

    i find it barely even noticeable to be honest, the absolute maximum delay is 1second, it could be dropped to 0.5 seconds i guess.
    Sorren actually does not bucket events, so every single aura that is altered in your raid is processed at the second it occurs.
    SR used to do this, but i found it to get a bit laggy in heavy raid situations. Applying the bucket removed all lag for me. I'll drop it to 0.5 interval and see how it affects my machines performance.

    EDIT: Just checked, the bucket is actually 0.5 second, so the maximum time you have to wait for a bar to be created is already 0.5 seconds. I'm afraid i cant help you further, reducing it below that is pointless update spam.

    speed? what do you mean?
    Since bucketing events theres now about a 0.5 second latency on bars appearing. thats the price to pay for less CPU usage.
    Other than that, i dont know what you mean, i dont have any problems and i use it daily.

    my next raid is tomorrow evening, i will investigate with heroics until then, but im testing with a bucket event now, just hope that it doesnt affect current targets too much. but i'm sure i'll find a way around it!

    Hi dmcleod, this is a thread for SpellReminder not ClassTimer, but yes SpellReminder can distinguish between different units with the same name.
    The raidtarget is not shown however. I'll look into this as a future option.

    From a resto dr00d point of view I would quite like a feature to only track main tanks (auto detect them or just a little option to add them)...quite hard to keep 3 lifeblooms up on MTs when you have hots on loads of targets (raid healing)...would make my job easier :P
