Well, i've kept SpellReminder up to date, it works fine for myself and many others.

I dont know what others still work but there used to be:
    DoTimer
    ClassTimers
    NECB

well, i've been messing around with the code trying to get this funcitonal again, i cant for the life of me figure out how the attributes work (i didnt even know how they worked pre-3.0, so this is a nightmare)
So far, i have the buttons showing, but no popups yet, cant seem to get from the attribute to making the popups visible.
Anyone can explain briefly how it works so i might get enough of an idea to fix this?

i suppose the easiest way of doing this is probably a third party app which uses something like Windows Messages (or even SendKeys, god forbid) to send the text required to output the information directly to the war client. No idea how the EULA stands on this.

Would it be possible to add an option for the bars to stay visible for a while after reaching 0 (maybe 1 sec or so)?

Hi! yes thats deffinately possible, i'll wait for the 3.0 madness to die down (SpellReminder was the only addon that worked 100% for me immediately following 3.0 release). Once the dust settles I will see what I can do!

    Cheers

I really loved this feature - and until a certain update a few months back it worked nicely with SCT (I'm hoping MSBT will work as well). At that point, it would warn me about spells on _everyone_ I happened to be around at the time they were buffed. That spam, coupled with the fact that I couldn't find a way to be rid of the reminder bars aside from shrinking them down to illegible pixels made me learn to live without the addon. I'm sure the spam issue has been fixed by now, but I'm wondering about the bars - all I want are the warnings.

Maybe I'll re-download and check it out.

the bars have been removable for quite some time. I dont remember exactly when, but it must have been at least 3 months ago. Maybe even longer!
    Spell Setup > {SPELL} > Custom Group = None
if you want to block out ALL bars, as opposed to just individual spells you can do this:
    Timer Bars > Filters > {GROUP} = None

This will continue to track the spell without you seeing a bar. thus the text warnings will still work.

Zidomo / jokeyrhyme : Ahh of course, I knew one of these days i would forget to flag an update! I'll mark it right away.
Since the merge I actually haven't updated any addons at all... I find Curse Client quite hideous at the moment and therefore only load it up when I want to torture myself that my custom updater needs rewriting.

Here is a screenshot with debug information of me casting Mind Blast, but the cooldown still not showing up anywhere in spellreminder r82099.1 on the beta.

revision r172 was the first revision with cooldown setup if thats what you mean.
otherwise, you need to make sure that "Process Cooldowns" is ticked on the menu, and also that "Timer Bars > Filters > Cooldowns" is not set to "None".

hi, thanks for the kind words!
I've just added the next feature:
Option to announce to say/yell/party/raid when your spell is ending/ended.

it is disabled for all spells by default, but you can easily enable it via the spells options. a new group at the bottom "Announce" is hopefully self explanatory xD
    hope you like it!

i'll have a look at removing the visibility options for cooldowns, thanks for the heads up!

well, the fist update with some sort of sorting on the Spell Setup has now been released.

Let me know how you get on, and any changes/suggestions you have for it!

You can now customise your Cooldown bars too, giving them audio and text alerts in exactly the same way.....

I have tried that and thuderclap still doesn't show up at all.

Is how its been changed to mean that spellreminder now cannot monitor thunderclap at all then??

no not at all, thunderclap still works for me. Please could you screenshot some debug information at the time of casting thunderclap.
You can enable debug mode via the menu.

    Thanks

I am having trouble with this. I am pressing ctrl-shift and then clicking on "Lay on Hands" in my spellbook, but nothing is happening.

Is this key combination different on a mac, by any chance?

Is there another way to manually add a spell's cooldown to the list?

cooldowns dont require you to hold ctrl+shift, they should be tracked automatically. however i noticed myself that the Reincarnation cooldown wasn't working last night. so expect a fix very soon :)

SpellReminder (r82099) is not picking up the cooldown of Feint on my Rogue anymore. I have reset all of the savedvariables and it didn't help.

Hi, as feint has no aura, you need to press CTRL+SHIFT when you first cast it. this tells spellreminder to mark that spell as trackable despite the lack of aura.
you only need to do this once.

I admit its not ideal and I'm tempted to revert it back to how it was (always create a bar for all spells). However there are a few spells which create an aura with a completely different name to the spell itself, this causes SR to make two bars, one for the spell you cast, and one for the real aura that is created.

You can safely reset your SV file for spellreminder to restore all your previous settings, as pressing ctrl+shift works with your options.

As a side note, Distract works in the same way. you will need to perform this with that spell also.

    Many Thanks,
    Ori
