     Just install GatherMate2_Data, and use the Import functionality in-game. It contains all data submitted until last week, and a new version with all the new data since then will be available soon, probably tomorrow.

     for cleaning it is not enough to just use the maintenance fonction inside gathermate2 ? You you can set the radius to like 5-10 yards and clean the nodes that collapse.
     
    And question, at what inverval to you want our lua file ? Every week is good or ?
     
    I could use the function in GM2, but I wanted something automatic without running the game.
    Anyway you don't need to keep posting your file unless you feel like you found a bunch of nodes that were not tracked before. At some point we'll just have most of them.

    Everything contributed until now has been imported, cleaned and de-duplicated. A new release of GatherMate2_Data should be available soon.

     

    To avoid excess node spam, nodes very close to each other may have been cleaned up, but that should be within a few in-game yards, so nothing is really lost. GatherMate2 would never have collected nodes that close to each other, anyway, not with default cleanup settings.

     

    So in short, the database is what you would get after manually combining all data listed here and using the GM2 Cleanup function in the Maintenance section.

    These files are not meant for you to use, but for me to take and put into GatherMate2_Data. Once thats done you can just update it and import the data from there.

     Well preferably one wouldn't have a bunch of duplicates and stuff, so it should filter out nodes that are basically identical, but not quite (like overlapping but due to inaccuracies not identical), and things like that.
    Merging the plain databases isn't the hard work. :)

    I still need to finish the scripts to merge all these data files into one, once thats done I'll try to update it regularly when new data comes in.

     

    The first update should be within a week.

    Hey,

     

    since WoWHead and WoWDB do not track spawns of Legion herbs (yet, or ever, it seems unclear), some people have asked if they can contribute their own gathered data for inclusion in GatherMate2_Data.

     

    After briefly looking into how I could pull this off, I concluded there is really no reason not to do that.

    So I'll be building some scripts to combine the user-provided data and package it into GatherMate2_Data.

     

    What do I need to do that? Well! Data, of course. I have plenty Legion Herb data myself, but no mining and barely any fishing.

    So if you want to contribute, upload your data somewhere and link it here, and I'll integrate it within the next week or so.

     

    In short:

    Upload your "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<name>\SavedVariables\GatherMate2.lua" to any file sharing service of your choice (simple things like OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox preferred, mega also ok), and post a link to that here. I'll quickly check them and then run them through my script to include the nodes in the central database.

    The only way to get multi-folder addons to package the way you want is using the move-folders pkgmeta option which moves sub-folders to the root after packaging.

    Here is an example with a similar setup:

    If you would package your addon without move-folders, all would be inside a "GnomeSequencer-Enhanced" folder and nothing would get loaded.

    There is several approaches to setting up move-folders, either how KuiNameplates does it by moving everything, or having the "core" in the top level folder and only moving the "plugin" to the root, which is what some other addons do.

    Developers can take care of their setup manually, users often just screw up their setup with options they don't understand.

    The load time argument is mostly bogus, it doesn't have a significant influence as none of the code of the duplicate libraries is executed - assuming those libraries are written properly to bail out early

    You need to return color values in the range of 0-1, just like the set function will also give you back. So just divide by 255 first.

    In general, everything in WoW deals with 0-1 color values, 0-255 is usually just used to make it easier for the user to understand (or when using hex color strings, as the only exception).

    All Git tag issues i'm aware of usually come from converting SVN to Git and pushing old tags to the repository. I've never seen any project that originally started out as Git screwing that up, unless you suddenly push a long list of tags in one go, I suppose.
