and how about using macros to do it tekkub?
when 2.4 hits and u can target by their ID, have the tracking addon create a macro to target the one with the right ID for whichever u click, and then when u click it, it calls the macro

Nov 29, 2007Supermacro still works for the most part. Most of the features still work(the better tooltip functions/automatic icon updating). The SuperMacros still work as well. The ones that let u use 7000 characters, which can also be used to have more macros(tho there is still a limit).Posted in: Addon Ideas
It just has so many bugs now because no one updates it anymore. If someone were to take it over, it could be back on top for macro addons again. (The LUA writer in SuperMacro writes the LUA u put into there into the savedvariables, allowing u to create any function and call it in a macro, without having to write extensive LUA code in macros, and supposedly still works).
Nov 28, 2007Unfortunately, u are comparing like addons here. Recap is sort of the predecessor to recount(I dont believe they were trying to make a better recap or anything, but everything recount does, recap was made for, its just super old).Posted in: General AddOns
Both have been updated very recently, Recap is mostly non-ace2, no idea about Recount.
Recap is listed on the Ace2 listing because someone is uploading it here for the current author, who does his updates to curse.com.
I am actually going to try out Recount a bit tonight in a raid. I was using Recap for a long time, and depending on ur settings, it can be a huge resource hog(it can store the past 5000 events that happened in the combat log, so u can check how hard the tank was hit for, hit by hit. Or how hard ur last 20 shadowbolts hit for, etc. It also has the standard detailed breakdown that Recount does, per spell, per player, etc.
I have heard at least 1 person had a problem with recount this patch, where any time a mob dies he got about 2-3 seconds of lag. He is the only one ive heard say he had a problem tho.
Oct 3, 2007I am really dependant on SuperMacro now, as it provides so much better functionality for macros than the default WoW interface does. Being able to use LUA in macros(an in-game .lua writer, writes it to... somewhere :P and then u can call scripts in ur macros) and the 7000 character limit macros are just 2 of the best features...Posted in: Addon Ideas
However, it isnt optomized at all now, hes only done minor updates for the past year or so, since he stopped major work on it. It makes my framerate drop noticeably, and has some small bugs all over that are beginning to make it annoying to keep.
Upon removing it... I hate the default macro system immediately... the tooltip functionality in SuperMacro is miles above the default interface for example.. and overall, it is just amazing to have :/
So... I was wondering if anyone here would like to(or alread has, I didnt see one tho) create an Ace2/rock/Ace3 addon that does what SuperMacro does, maybe even just take the original and convert/fix it up.

Aug 2, 2007if it has the name of a song/band/artist/etc in the error, then it is most likely a blank field issue like i had.Posted in: General AddOns
The last one u posted shows its Nintendo music.
Go thru and edit all the fields for artist name, album name, song title and make sure they have data there. Musicstream really doesnt care what u name ur MP3s, just what the tags say.
Jul 22, 2007yeah, but i looked thru the mymusic.lua already to try and see what was causing it, and most of my previous songs(before the additions that stopped the options menu from working) had "None" fields, so i couldnt tell what was different really(also a lot of my songs have ridiculously long names, so looking thru the file for differences is extremely annoying).Posted in: General AddOns
I did get it fixed though.
Apparently though, the tags needed for sure are Title, Artist, Album and possibly the Track #, but not sure on that last one.
Added some more songs, and now I have yet another problem :p
Some, not all, of the new songs I just added(almost all were new artists, and I seperate my Music folder into sub folders by artist, and then into ablums) are only showing the very first letter of the Artist, Album, and Title. Looking through the tags for the ones that dont work correctly, there are no special characters anywhere, and I removed any extra .'s just in case. There is no difference between the ones in this batch that do work, and the ones that do not... All of the ones put into a previously existing artist folder worked, but there are some that had a new artist folder created that do not work... so I am really stumped on this one, no error's are being generated either :/
Jul 22, 2007lol, any idea which fields are required? all my previous songs had a few blank fields and worked fine :/ just the new ones i added hehPosted in: General AddOns
Jul 21, 2007hmm, i just lost menu functionality, and i dont think i updated musicstream recently.Posted in: General AddOns
i did add a few new albums into my folder and did a new generate, but that should cause any problems should it?
its still under like 3-4 gigs, thru a symlink
also typing /musicstream options does not work either, and i assume its generating an LUA error, as it does not allow the command to actually be entered into chat(as in pressing enter and it stays in the edit field). I dont remember the error addon or whatever u guys use for this, ill look thru the ace list.
conflicts with a song name i guess:

Jul 20, 2007Necroclysm posted a message on BigWigs interrupt Cooldowns, Using tranq.lua as a template.take a look at DoTimerPosted in: Raid AddOns
More specifically, look at Communication and Cooldowns that come with it.
Comm sends and receives data from other Comm users, Cooldowns will display ANY cooldown, and when u open the Comm options, u manually add all the spells/abilities u want to see the cooldowns on from other players. Works with absolutely anything that has a cooldown.
u can just download DoTimer to get them all, and disable DoTimer and Notification(which wont actually do anything unless u add stuff to it)
/cd or /cooldown
/not or /notification
Jul 20, 2007cant fix it yet kiwi, all music addons have this problem currentlyPosted in: General AddOns
u can fix it each time it happens by turning off sound and music, waiting til it fades out, and then turning it back on so u can hear ur music again.
jaedx, if u only toggle enable music, depending on the addon, it will either do nothing, or it will attempt to pause the current audio stream, however... the song is still "playing" and if the addon is done correctly, when u reenable music, u do hear where it left off, unfortunately, the song will still end after the same time from start. I used soundtrack which used enablemusic as well, and it was more annoying to pause the songs than to just let it run with sound off :p
the song length cant be paused basically, so u are losing part of the song no matter what, and its lame :/
Jul 14, 2007turning off Enable Music? u mean the same as pressing Control+M or going to sound options and unchecking Enable Music? it doesnt pause the music, it will restart it once u turn the music back on(i disable and enable sound and music a LOT :P)Posted in: General AddOns
Jul 13, 2007if anyone is updating this mod(someone has to be, since i have downloaded a few new updates in the past few weeks heh)Posted in: General AddOns
Could u add options to the Tell command, on the menu specifically, to send it to a specified channel instead of only Guild?
Also, the problem where the songs overlap because it loops, take a look at the addon Soundtrack(its on curse). It does not have this problem, but i dont know what they use that makes it different, possibly it disables the automatic looping(i stopped using soundtrack because it had too many other problems to work properly all the time :/)
