It should improve as the year goes up as advertising improves into the fall.  The problem is if you have tons of downloads in the off months.

My understanding the pattern is something like this.

    JFMAMJJASOND (months)

    556456678890 (% of max points, 5= 50%, 0 = 100%)

They get the most advertising dollars in december.

Advertising comes in waves based around consumer spending periods.  The most advertising being in November and December.

I would record your date and total downloads periodically.   Then you can calculate downloads per month (or even per hour).

    Hope this helps,

    Two Guys,

    MacTso

We are currently averaging about 1400 downloads per hour over for about 20 mods.

We are pretty small scale compared to the Biome mods.

    Cheers,

I found this topic because my daily points got cut in half this month. Ouch.

Your issue is probably something different.  When they miss a day, they give you those points on later days.   If they just miss one day, it's usually about 10% per day.   If they miss two days, it is about 30% per day.   And if they miss 3 days, it's about 80% to 100% more per day.  I do not know why they miss days occasionally.  Too busy?  Local holiday?  Who knows.

If you look at your history, you will see they skipped some days and after that you were suddenly getting 20 to 50 more points per day.

This happened 3 times in june and we were up from 270 to about 550 points per day.    But (from past experience) we knew the 550 was really "catchup" points and not real points.   Yesterday or the day before we dropped back down to just over 270 points per day.

Hope this helps.    You *will* be getting the proper points you were due.

    With Best Regards,

Two Guys,  (Our mods include SaveYourPets, ClaimChunk, the "Harder" series, and "Regrowth" among others).

Venting is expressing frustration (even when justified).

    For example:
Yet another customer asks a 'dumb' or even hostile question for the 185th time.

    Choice A: CM expresses irritation.

Choice B: CM gives a positive, honest answer*... for the 185th time.

    Say in this conversation...

"We have a lot of people recently asking about the recent drop in points at the start of January 2022.    We added a section to the FAQ on January 8th to address your questions.

    Here's what we added:

"full quote of new faq section".

    Link to the Faq.

I hope this clears up your questions and will answer your follow up questions as soon as possible."

(use of "and" instead of "but" here is less confrontational)

    * honest- even if it's bad news but delivered in an respectful way.

    ---

Venting can lead to a cycle of hostility.  Seen it happen in other customer forums.   The reason I originally responded was that I *had* read the faq and that section wasn't in there at the time.  So I came to the forum's after my ticket hadn't received any answer for over a week), hoping to find an explanation.

It's all good and our points are back up to about 70% of what they were in December.

Hope you have a great day and your work and followup is appreciated and makes a difference!

    With Best Regards,

    Two Guys,

Our points have recovered about 50%.

Their C.M. needs to avoid venting and remain positive.  (and yea- I know it's tough to do that).

Glad there was a followup on  this.  We entered a ticket back on Jan 4th and had heard nothing.

I hadn't seen this slump last year but our points were fairly small then.

Guess we'll wait and see how it turns out.

However, the faq referenced above was "Modified on: Sun, 9 Jan, 2022 at 8:13 AM" and the problem started on jan 1 so most folks probably saw the older version which was much shorter:

"Why did my points drastically decrease?

The number of points in the monthly pool may have decreased from the previous month, or other projects could have gained in popularity (or your projects' popularity may have waned); all projects gain their daily points from a single monthly pool. Months with fewer days in them will generally see more points per day than longer months, and also near the end of the month you may see a significant point increase."

Everything starting with "Additionally" is new...

posted a message on No points for Spawn Balance Utility and it's been out for weeks with over 1200 downloads.

This is odd.  We get points for all of our other mods but not this one.  How do I get this addressed?

I have a new modpack verison-- but there is no export option.

That creates the manifest file so I can't proceed without it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

So, is this normal for the mods to not let the creators know about this? I don't really know how curseforge community works, but if there's any issue, I guess one of the mods could just make another post and explain it

Two Guys has about 20 projects.   They all took 2-60 hours for approval with an average of about 40 hours.  The 2 hour one was freaky.  New projects appear to be manually checked.

New updates to existing projects have taken us 2 minutes to 15 hours with an average of 5 minutes.  The 15 hour one was freaky- I'm assuming some internal system was down that day.  Updates appear to be automatically checked and approved.

In reply to vormcorps: new projects can take 24-48 hours.   updates to existing projects usually under 10 minutes.

Apparently there may be a special situation /delay right now for new projects.

posted a message on Have points but nothing in the store to spend them on

The reward store "shop" link is currently empty.

I know we just swapped over and this will probably clear up but I looked around and didn't see any notice of when we would be able to spend points again.

Anyone have a link or know more?

posted a message on Mod has been approved 4 days-- new version not on twitch-- how do I address this?

Went ahead and made a 1.0.98.6 since it wasn't working under 32.0.98 anyway.

    Hopefully it will flow thru.

posted a message on Mod has been approved 4 days-- new version not on twitch-- how do I address this?

So I could not upgrade to forge 97 because my new version isn't on twitch.

It's been approved for days on curseForge.

Any advice?  Do I just make a newer version and submit it?  Rest of my mods are updating fine.  (It's happy trails-- version 1.0.0.3 on twitch and 1.0.0.5 here.)

    Thanks!
