After reading the thread, I still have a question:
Is Langoustine compatible to CT_RA/oRA2? If my raidleader sets up the tanks with CT_RA,
would I be able to see them using Langoustine as I would be able to see them using oRA2?
I'm asking this because it has not been explicitly answered before.
On the project page it reads: "[..] is a CtRa/oRa2 replacement.".
This could be said also for oRA3 since it replaces the functionality of CT_RA/oRA2 without beeing compatible.

May 13, 2009We often run with three paladins, one of every specc.Posted in: General AddOns
Protection -> Kings
Holy -> Wisdom
Retribution -> Might
When the protection paladin buffs herself sanctuary, the holy is assigned to buff kings single.
Right now, this has to be done manual. PallyPower does not allow setting single blessings when the corresponding greater blessing is already set for this class.
Is there a way to override this?
May 5, 2009Does Grid create these (secure) frames before combat for all 5/25/40 players?Posted in: Unit Frames
How does Grid work with updating in combat and ag_UF doesn't?
 Haven't checked this personally, just basing it on azmodanrom post.
Apr 16, 2009Posted in: AddOn HELP!Quote from OrionShockah, that would be a problem. I take it you are out puting your messages from these events to a chat frame? if so then pass that frame reference as the first arg, and the proper event name as the 2nd.
If you pass your addon's object table, that would infer that these filters are attached to your addon, this is not the case :)
The output is redirected to a ScrollingMessageFrame that I created in Lua.
Looking at the ChatFrame.xml in the Blizzard Interface Source, the ChatFrame is indeed a ScrollingMessageFrame, but with more stuff added?
I just hope it is sufficent to pass my ScrollingMessageFrame instead.
Apr 16, 2009You misunderstood my question. I'm not out to write a filter function that is called by the blizzard chatframe.Posted in: AddOn HELP!
I'm writing an addon that is displaying text recieved from CHAT_MSG_WHISPER and CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM
and to my knowledge it should be me who is calling these functions.
Therefore, what should be the frame?
My self, which is an AceAddon-3.0 frame?
** Edit **
To spell it out more clearly:
My addon is calling the registered filter functions for the events CHAT_MSG_WHISPER and CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM.
If the frame should be the one who calls these functions, it should be a reference to my addon.
But 'self', which happens to be my addon when I call the registered functions, is not a ChatFrame.
Apr 16, 2009Question:Posted in: AddOn HELP!
What kind of 'frame' is passed?
Currently I'm trying to write a mod that listens to CHAT_MSG_WHISPER and CHAT_MSG_WHISPER_INFORM
and therefore should be becalling all registered filters on these events.
Is it ok to pass 'self' (AceAddon-3.0) to these filter functions? :confused:
Apr 16, 2009Posted in: General AddOnsQuote from TirdalIt's an option that never made sense to me before I played around with it. I'm at the office I can't look it up, but something like "class buttons" with options of 1, 3, 5, 7 (or maybe 1,3,7,9?). The numbers refer to what corner the placement button goes in, not how many of anything.
It all made sense to me when I looked at my NumPad on my keyboard.. after I played around with it. ;D
Mar 21, 2009Posted in: Unit FramesQuote from CrazyGreggySomething ahead of patch 3.1 - getting this issue on PTR, presumably due to LUA/XML changes in the patch.
r691\modules\auras\auras.lua:679: attempt to index local 'b' (a nil value)
<in C code>: in function `sort'
ag_UnitFrames-r691\modules\auras\auras.lua:706: in function `ScanAuras'
ag_UnitFrames-r691\modules\auras\auras.lua:541: in function `UpdateAuras'
ag_UnitFrames-r691\modules\auras\auras.lua:191: in function `?'
ag_UnitFrames-r691\ag_UnitFrames.lua:461: in function <Interface\AddOns\ag_UnitFrames\ag_UnitFrames.lua:450>
UnitDebuff and UnitBuff changed on the PTR. The "isMine" part now returns the UnitID (example: "player").
You can use a temporary hack, search for "isMine" in the auras.lua file and put "isMine = isMine == "player"" after a call of UnitBuff/UnitDebuff.
