GraphLib is listed as an optional dependency. However, if I run Recount without GraphLib, I get errors saying GraphLib is missing.

Any idea why Omen keeps appearing in the middle of my screen instead of where I left it? I tend to log off or switch toons in rested areas if that has any bearing on it.

Anyone have any ideas on this? It happened again last night.

I think I tracked it down to Omen loading on demand via AddonLoader. When I removed AddonLoader, the issue went away and Omen remembered it's settings. Also, changing it's LoD settings via: "/addonloader overrides omen always" to always load Omen seemed to clear it up as well. Perhaps a dev could see why Omen is appearing to not load all of it's settings when it is invoked from AddonLoader?

Good catch. I'm sure you're right since I too use AddonLoader and am having the same problem with Omen's window always appearing in the center.

Why can't we support ItemPrice AND any other vendor price databases? A lot of us run Ace mods disembedded, so it's FALSE that we'll have multiple price databases running simultaneously.

The Omen window appears in the middle of my screen each time I load the game. I move it to my desired location, lock it. Next time I login, the Omen window is back in the center again.

is it really necessary that there are new versions of the addons EVERY DAY for every little shit of a bugfix ? because of this the traffic is that high. why can't there be "release versions" once every 2-4 days ? this little step would half the traffic...

Because no file on files.wowace.com is a release version! We are getting automatically packaged files from the development SVN repository. The developers are not the ones putting a strain on wowace.com. We users are.

    Quote from teedog »

troll on...i asked the question if developers are maybe willing to help kaelten lower his traffic costs....

And what exactly are developers doing that is contrary to Kaelten's wishes? The number of commits on svn.wowace.com are perfectly ordinary. I remember new devs being chastised for making commits after every single line change, but that was mostly because of the spam it generated rather than traffic. And it doesn't happen often. We WAU users are putting a strain on wowace.com, and WAU and files.wowace.com are available to us because of Kaelten and co's generosity.

Therefore, the solution is to discontinue WAU and shutdown files.wowace.com rather than asking developers to "update less", which is absurd. Is that what you wish for, Mr. Troll? SVN can go back to being dev-only, and users will go to WoWi and Curse for updates.

I personally will click the silly ads if they bring in money to help support the server costs. I like files.wowace.com and WAU, and I'm very grateful to the people who make them possible.

    the traffic issue is housemade.
the addon developers are releasing several new versions every day with minimal improvement but generating massive traffic.
...if there would be only a new addon version once every week your traffic would be alot lower.

This argument makes no sense. Obviously the traffic issue is "self-inflicted". If wowace.com shuts down files.wowace.com, and restrict svn.wowace.com to developers only, all our traffic issues will be solved.

Heck, all of Kaelten's troubles are "self-inflicted". He could shut down wowace.com entirely and save himself the monthly fees.

    /boggle

P.S. In case my sarcasism isn't clear, I am so sick and tired of people complaining for the sake of complaining. Nothing Blizzard does is ever good enough. Nerf? Bitch moan complain. Buff? Bitch moan complain. Developers updating their addons too often? Bitch moan complain. Users don't have an easy way to update to development versions and have to rely on slow WoWi or Curse updates? Bitch moan complain.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Shame on you people.

bigwigs is also one to avoid spam, making bars for every single person that has the toy would result in that.

Hmm I'm referring to phase1, when we face Telonicus alone. There are hardly any bars up, unlike Kael phase3 or Vashj. He doesn't use Remote Toy *that* often. In any case, it's not a big deal, just thought I'd mention it. BigWigs seems to have a bias against non-warrior tanks. :)

On Kael'thas, Master Engineer Telonicus in phase1, could BigWigs show a cooldown bar for any person who gets the Remote Toy debuff? Currently BigWigs only shows a cooldown bar if a warrior gets it. As I understand it, BigWigs warnings are supposed to be as neutral as possible and never tries to suggest a particular strategy. It seems wrong to suggest that only warriors getting Remote Toy is worth worrying about. There could be Druids, Paladins, Hunters tanking. Heck, I know some raids do the encounter with like 5 healers, so they'd worry if a healer got Remote Toy too.

Seems like it's more neutral and simpler if a cooldown bar is simply show for every person with Remote Toy in phase1.

Anyone who's been in this project long enough knows that I've always vehemently detested the idea of the -Ace2- tag, and it was added to both Clique and PerfectRaid multiple times. I got sick of my addons being changed, zipped up automatically and being in the hands of my users before I could even get a chance to revert the change. The -Ace2- tag does bring a level of recognition to the project, but its just a matter of difference. Even if you removed it from in-game, you'd get the people who think ONLY ace addons come from WAU and if it's not on WAU its not an Ace addon.

The tag has no problems on its own, but combine it with users and it gets nasty =)

It seems to me your issue is with free-for-all commits on SVN rather than the -Ace2- tag? I see nothing wrong with the -Ace2- tag per se since the wowace.com admins by no means require any mods hosted here to carry that tag (right?). There's no requirement that to use svn.wowace.com and files.wowace.com, you must carry the -Ace2- tag, right? So it's entirely up to the author. Some authors I'm sure like the tag precisely because ignorant users flock to it thinking Ace2==good. Other authors like you think the Ace2 tag is offensive and choose not to include it. Your beef seems to be other developers comitting code to your project and sticking the tag in without your permission.

On the flip side, if a Dongle developer decides he wants to stick the -Dongle- tag on his mod, you have no problems with it, right? Just as long as nobody comes onto your Google SVN and sticks -Dongle- onto your mod.

Just a thought I had when reading the thread. :)
