I've been using the Custom Raid bars to monitor the trash respawns in ICC25/10.

    /dxerb 7200 Trash Respawn

This quickly gets confusing when clearing multiple wings, And I was wondering if there is anyway to get the name of the targetted mob in the name of the Raid Bar?

    I tried
    /dxerb 7200 %t Respawns

But it simply took the code as text and I ended up with that as the bars name, rather than the actual mobs name.

You'll have to manually enter it in for now. I could add the %t feature. Make a ticket on the project page so I don't forget about it

We now have all map sizes from the game files. Most of them are confirmed with Blink :)

    ...

I did some testing, and damaging abilities by NPCs do not use yards from map sizes. It appears that CheckInteractDistance, Blink, and such do use map size data.

Map data for Crystalsong Forest is (~1814, ~2722), and the measurement from IsSpellInRange is (~1690, ~2535). Unbound Seer's in Crystalsong Forest have this ability 40 yd ability http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=38204. I maxed ranged the mob, and had someone stand directly on top of the mob for measuring. It started running towards me at ~42 yards using map data, and ~40 yards using IsSpellInRange data.

It seems that it's very very likely you want to use IsSpellInRange data for boss abilities :).

I'm absolutely sure I didn't move my camera at all. It happens a few times out of a dozen. I actually printed out the blink distance using 790,527 and it was 20 yds every time, but the measured dimensions weren't the same every time. I don't know how it's possible. Something to do with GetPlayerFacing?

How do you know the game files represent game yards of a map? I trust the fixed range checks (IsSpellInRange and action bar range check) over game data, since it's more dependent on in-game mechanics. I've already validated all of mine to work at 40 yards. Can you validate that blink is 20 yards using your data?

You should try to validate your data using a spell. I tried your data in Icecrown Citadel - The Lower Citadel, and it's off by 2 yards. I stood just in range of 40 yards, ran your dimensions, and it returned 42 yards. So either IsSpellInRange("Lesser Healing Wave") is broken or your coordinates are off.

I blinked around with your map calc mod and it gave inconsistent results in Ironforge. Sometimes it would be (790, 527), the right dimensions, and other times it would be completely off.

The map doesn't set correctly in Lana'thel's room. It's been a bug since PTR. At least it doesn't return the wrong zone name anymore.

I thought DXE has integrated preserval of marks? I always figured it's that our raidleader uses DBM which removes the marks (I'm assistant).

It doesn't try to preserve marks set by players. It's up to the players to know what marks are going to be used for an encounter.

    Quote from yoshimo
I have read on the DeadlyBossmodForum that they had to correct the mapsizes from DXE a bit . So i was wondering, how did you measure the mapsizes?

The way I did it was stand directly east/west of someone at 40 yards (painstakingly adjusted using blizzard's range checker) calculate the difference of our x coordinates, and then divide 40 by that result. The same was done in the y direction. I made the y difference on the order of 10^-6 when measuring the x direction and vice-versa. To verify it, I ran in a 40 yd radius circle going in and out of range of healing while spamming my distance function. Whenever I was barely in range it would show 39.9 yards, and 40.1 yards when I was out of range. It's experimental but the actual map coordinates shouldn't be off by much.

Anyways, I just checked DBM's mod to calculate map sizes and it's totally inaccurate. The results of blinking northeast and blinking nortnortheast are completely different. It's funny how they copy-pasted my pretty much correct data, recalculate all of them with the wrong method, and think my data is wrong.

The "run away" warning for the fire orb on princes is wrong.
It tells you to run away from empowered orbs (and even tells you the right person targetted) although everyone not targetted should run towards it...

The way my guild does it is to kite the big giant inferno balls. It loses damage the longer it takes to hit a person. By the time it has been kited 50 yards it does like 3k damage. I guess you use a strat to explode it early?

Warning request (arrows would be nice)

Lady Deathwisper trash (Deathspeaker High Priest) Dark Reckoning ability (a bomb like debuff that hurts when it explodes).

Yeah I can add this in. I'll get data on it next week so you can expect it sometime after Tuesday.

I am a tad confused by the multitude of warnings on Putricide. Which one should I take if a Gaseous Bloat targets me specifically? (Would rather not experiment in this case due to the try limit.)

Gaseous Bloat warning will fire if it targets you or anyone else. I didn't separate it into two warnings because I figure it's important for everyone in the raid to know.

Could you add to track the mana shield % on Lady Deathwhisper in the health pane?

Yes, that's on my TODO list. You can expect it soon.

I don't seem to be getting any warnings on anyone but Saurfang in ICC 10 (no idea about 25). And even then the Saurfang warnings do not make noises.

Edit: This isn't the same as the translation thing above. I am in the US.

I'll look into this. The chat triggers should have activated and started the encounters for the first three bosses. I'm not sure why it didn't work for you.

Hey, was wondering if we could get a warning for Disrupting Shout (20s CD) cast by Deathbound Wards in Marrowgar trash?

Edit: Should I just make a ticket for this?

Yes, I can get it in.

Any chances to get a "Adds Spawn" timer on Deathwhisper and possibly boat health indicators for Gunship Battle? I know there's a blizzard frame for the gunships, but it is attached to the bottom of the minimap and cant be moved.

Yes, I can get those in too.

Mainly use it for BoP (and thats manily for Anub), Painsupression, Guardian spirit and other defensive CD's with a fixed duration. as a healer that valuable information, and to get that kind of information together with the rest of the info for the encounter is really usefull (to me atleast).

    .....

And like i said, im in no way asking for stuff like that to be part of the boss mod, what i was asking was if an optional module could be made that would alow that kind of stuff to be added, either via an ingame optionspanel, or just pure lua adding spell id's and times. (No need to force the kitchen sink in there for ppl that want to keep it minimal)

Notised small thing on Freya thou today, were doing lumberjacked and im not getting any HP bars for the elders.

I'll add it in soon. The options would just consist of an input for a spellid and time.

I didn't add any support in for lumberjacked. The mod has absolutely no support for Elders unfortunately.

I could have just missed the config option, but is there currently a way to disable the warning chat frame messages ("5 seconds until...") but still have other alerts be displayed in the chat frame?

Two types of alerts fire the '5 seconds until..' messages: durations and cooldowns. I suppose you may want to disable it for duration alerts, or do you want it for cooldowns as well? If the message is disabled for cooldowns, then no messages will never be fired for cooldowns. I may just add in toggle options for each type, since it adds in the option of disabling cooldowns altogether.

    Its simmilar, but 100% custom.

U enter the spell ID number into first box. Then text into second with some functions like %player (name of the person that caster it) and then add a timer in seconds into the last box (like duration, or cooldown, or make 2 and add both)

I can add this type of simple functionality in since it's pretty trivial. I'll put this on my TODO list. It may be in pretty soon depending on how long I take to make the Icecrown encounters for next week. The options will go in custom bars.

As for a general raid cooldown tracker, it's probably not going to happen.

Do you mainly want to see BoP on Anub? I should probably add a bar for that during his pursue phase.

Is there a frame name (or whatever) that I can use in kgpanels to parent backgrounds to the health bars?

I can set it up for the most part with just the one bar, but the kgpanels framefinder isn't giving me any names on the health bars at all and I am hoping it's possible.

Also, hands down the best bossmod I've used, thanks for all your hard work.

I'll name the frames in the next update. Right now they're nameless, but it'll definitely be in soon.

would it be possible to make a extra module that works the same way (or rather does the same thing) as http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/dbm-spelltimers/ ?
Together with kill statistics its the only function that still keeps me with DBM, the rest is just visual stuff and that i can get used to.

I recommend using oRA3 for raid cooldowns. I have no plans on adding that type of functionality any time soon or at all.

How about removing the icon then? I know there's a way to remove icons from the bars, but not from the warning text. I used bigwigs before and i could output to chat using the same font without problems. It could be because of the icon as Kerecha said.

I added a toggle for the icon in the latest alpha.

Any chance of putting together an HOWTO for authoring ones own encounters, as well as providing an empty skeleton for those who like to quickly throw together encounters on things like the PTR?

I'll see what I can whip up. To get started you'll want to use the repository version, because that has a table validator in it. As for the skeleton, you can copy paste Archavon and modify it as necessary. Most of the execution is done in Invoker.lua.

I'm trying to set the Warning Messages to be output through Chat, but the letters are very hard to understand.

It's like the font has screwed up somehow, and even when changing the font through the global options the font remains the same.

I believe that's a font rendering error that I can't do anything about.

I want to record my own warnings and have those play for selected boss abilities.

How can I add those into the list of included sounds?

Is there a folder these go into and what format do they need to be?

You can add a sound to SharedMedia and then modify one of the ALERTx ones. But I assume you want to add your own ALERTx. Currently you can only do that through the code, but I'm planning to add this kind of functionality through the GUI soon.
