The addon/Ace3 settings are in the WTF folder, you need to make sure they have not been deleted
If you just have different profiles, you should be able to copy from a profile to a different profile
Also ask on wowinterface.com, this forum is dead

check if GetBuildInfo TOC is < 20000 or WOW_PROJECT_ID == WOW_PROJECT_CLASSIC
Jul 18, 2016Requested a project slug/URL namechange to KethoCombatLog (without space), and pushed a new tag (v2.00) but nothing is packagedPosted in: General Chat
Is the packager web page supposed to be working? It doesn't show anything for me
Jul 17, 2016If you only need to know it when they are cast, take a look at COMBAT_LOG_EVENTPosted in: Need Help?
If you want to get a specific spell ID's school you could maybe do it with tooltip scanning, or some other way ...
But it's not really feasible, you'd have to extract the school name from the spell description

Jun 19, 2016Posted in: General ChatQuote from XinhuanAnd that, I can only login to the forums at http://www.wowace.com/home/login/
Attempting to login to the forums via using the forums itself such as "quote" "reply", etc that results in a vBulletin Message "You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page.", well, the forums are not recognizing the exact same user/pass.
Eight years old necro (sorry!), but I've been having this same problem as Xinhuan described for at least a couple of years now
Here I'm opening a new Chrome incognito window (just to be sure I also deleted all of my cookies before that) and having the login issue
Jun 19, 2016The WowAce file version ordering is a bit strange. It goes from 3.6.10 to 3.6.9-nolib to 3.6.11 to 3.6.9-nolib againPosted in: General AddOns
So I used 3.6.11 which works fine on Legion Beta/PTR, but it sure was confusing at first
I guess only a few people had this problem, since that 3.6.9-nolib is only an alpha and not on Curse
Also can't seem to report bugs through the WowAce ticket tracker

As for tracking ally's spells:
Edit: wtf, really

Oct 20, 2015Ketho17 posted a message on Updating MyAddon.db.char table to point to another table isn't saved accross sessionsPosted in: AddOn HELP!Quote from Nasias
Edit: Also, interestingly enough, when I implemented the deep copying approach, if I had a table inside the char table, I encountered a problem when trying to update the table with less keys than it's default counterpart had (and setting the remainder of keys to nil)-- Where the new table would be populated with the default values from the default table when they were initially set to nil-- on a relog or a ui reload, but the values that weren't set to nil retained their set values. I hope that makes sense?
From what I understand, setting a table key value to nil removes that table key and value from the table, so...
Why is this? And if again I'm doing something wrong, how do I properly implement this as well? Unless this is simply a side effect of incorrectly assigning the variables in the self.db table as discussed previously.
I think that might be intended functionality for AceDB "magic tables".
Let's say you set a key to nil, thus deleting it. Every time the DB is initialized (including after a /reload) AceDB will set any nil keys (back) to its corresponding default value. It's the same as "resetting" a key. (Note that it only counts for nil values, not for the boolean false)
I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to do by "setting the remainder of keys to nil" ???
Quote from NasiasDo you have a code example to demonstrate the proper way to do this?
I'd just iterate over the keys of the source table and copy/overwrite the values. I do hope I'm not wrong this time ><
function MyAddon:ChangeVars() print(self.db.char.foo); --> bar self.db.char.foo = "apple"; print(self.db.char.foo); --> apple -- Relog print(self.db.char.foo); --> apple -- provided there are no deep tables for k, v in pairs(self.OtherOptions.char) do self.db.char[k] = v; end -- or simply, since it's just 1 value in this case -- self.db.char.foo = self.OtherOptions.char.foo; print(self.db.char.foo); --> cactus -- Relog print(self.db.char.foo); --> cactus end
