I've been doing some searching among the settings and the available addon modules out there but can't find the answer to this.
Is there a way to make it so that your own unit frame always shows up in the same position? For example, I'd like mine to always show up bottom-right or bottom-left so it's easier to keep an eye on myself in battlegrounds.
NM I guess, you can drag out individual players in the standard UI. And that will be enough I guess. Was just hoping there might be a mod for Grid or something that could make a virtual group.
I would like to be able to set up virtual groups - let's say I get into an AV with a couple friends. But we can't get the RL to move us into the same group. I'd like to be able to create a virtual group out of myself and my friends to make it easier to heal them. Like for example in Grid, would be neat if I could set the first row of the raid as myself and my friends. Or have an additional row for that.
Yeah, sorry I had just woken up :P Anyway, with the latest version I just grabbed it's all better!!
Bug Sack picks up this error though:
[2007/01/31 17:12:45-741-x1]: nQuestLog-11\core.lua:370: attempt to perform arithmetic on local 'iPartyTotal' (a string value)

I"m still having trouble, where exactly are these modules supposed to be now? In the Cartographer directory? In the main addon directory? Right now I can't even get Cartographer to work. The default blizzard map shows up. Sigh. I have the WAU beta 3. Still messed up.
A : Where should options be, when you go look for a setting, do you find it where you expect to find it? Is the wording good enough for you to figure out what a setting does without turning it off and on again?
B : Do you use the smart quest objective tracking or was that the first thing you turned off? Does it do a decent job at showing you the objectives you want?
- Should showing new quests objectives be default? (I think this is good for BC, and bad pre BC tbh, since in BC you get way less quests from an area).
C : What changes should I do to default settings, was there anything you immediately went in and changed?
D : What settings are redundant? I'm considering adding a "Show all settings" toggle, default to off, that hides the settings most users wouldn't ever use (so it'd be easier to find the settings you do use).
A. The location of settings is fine, we're all used to right clicking on a fubar plugin to find settings. It took me a little bit to figure out what all the "tracking" options meant. I had to play with these options before understanding what they did. But I'm not quite sure how to make it easier to understand. Does tracked means the same thing as visible, and not-tracked mean hidden? Perhaps use those two words instead? Much, much easier to understand.
B. I turned off smart objective tracking right away. I want it to always show my objectives when the quest is visible.
C. Hmm I already can't remember what the default settings were when I first installed it. I've played around with it so much since then. :(
D. As for this... I'm really not sure all these tracking options are necessary and what it even means exactly, but...... if tracked == visble and not-tracked == hidden, then of course you want a new quest tracked (visible). Then if you aren't going to work on that quest right now, you can hide it. So that would seem redundant to me. And along the same line of thought why wouldn't you autotrack quest items for hidden quests? What happens if you turn this off? Objectives for hidden quests don't update? That makes no sense. The rest of the options look good to me.
I would like to be be able to turn off the "1/5 visible" text shown next to the zone headers. It makes things just a little too visually cluttered for me :) Perhaps you could show an asterix next to the zone header if there are quests that are hidden if you chose not to display the full text? Something like that.
Added in internal beta, will be committed to svn soon ;)
