Committed a utterly drycoded notifications module for player quest events.
It won't suppress the default UI errors frame display of quest messages, notably. I'll get to that.
Funkeh`: I haven't had a chance to actually do any quests since I redid the party messages. I'll tweak it once I see it in action. :D

I really like the way QuestFu uses Parrot to display party objective and quest completion.
Are there any plans to make it so that the player announce also uses Parrot?
I do intend to, yes. I just need to write something to suppress the default progress messages...

This is to help those of us who run around with disembedded libs work out which ones can be removed.

I do have problems running wowace.py on Ubuntu Linux. WoW is installed in /home/thomas/.wine/drive_c/Programme/World of Warcraft and I tried to use --wowdir which does not work:I tried it with and without escaping, I edited wowace.py to hardcode the directory but nothing works. Any ideas?
I'm not sure what's causing that. I've tried setting up a parallel directory structure on my own machine, and this works:
./wowace.py --wowdir=/tmp/.foo/drive_c/World\ of\ Warcraft OpenAll
Are there any accented characters in there that the shell's handling okay but Python isn't?

There are all sorts of errors which keep popping up - I think because of the way MarsQuestOrganizer hooks functions. Just a guess.
Can you provide me with some of these errors? I did a quick read-through of MarsQuestOrganizer's source, and it doesn't look like there's anything that should obviously be conflicting.
Actually I think the issue is more with Quixote than Fubar_QuestsFu - should I be reporting this elsewhere?
Here's as good as anywhere.
Jul 23, 2007Fixed that.Posted in: General AddOns
Also added some new options:
* You can disable colors on a per-line basis
* You can configure the amount of fade that's applied to offline people
* Tags can now use static colors (gold, red, blue, green, white, black, grey, or anything custom in the form "[tag:crrggbb]", where rrggbb is a hex color code.)
Probably other stuff, too, but I forget.
Jul 23, 2007Sorry for vanishing from the topic for about a month -- completely slipped my mind. :)Posted in: General AddOns
I just committed a few things:
1. Checks will now show for everyone in your raid.
2. Added an option to show the guild name in the fubar plugin
3. Added an option to not show the totals in the fubar plugin
As far as I know, all earlier-mentioned bugs with the Fu module are fixed. If this isn't the case, let me know.
The problem with Sync trying to add friends who have left your server / been deleted is something I know about, but haven't gotten around to fixing. Largely because I suspect the /right/ thing to do is to rewrite the Sync module's entire handling of adding friends to a slightly less simplistic model.

How about keeping track of "Detach Tooltip" on a per character basis? With a couple of alts it gets annoying having to constantly detach & retach this when switching characters.
That's a FuBar thing -- it tracks it per-profile. You could probably overcome this by using per-character profiles, though I'm not sure whether you'd need to use them for FuBar itself, or for QuestsFu.

Smarter TOC editing.
Use new "provides" data in the feeds to fill previously difficult dependencies.
'Accept-encodings: gzip' was missing from the last release. Ooops.
GUI version will load addons from server on launch instead of waiting for "check".
