Still no Mac beta?

We've been doing some limited testing with a few handfulls of people so far. If you're interested in participating please pm me with your system specs and I'll link you as soon as that version is ready to begin testing.

The current v4 windows client does indeed have premium on for everyone atm. We will be disabling this and testing it further (it's already had some internal testing) once we get closer to the full open beta. Don't worry though, we absolutely agree that testing it is very important.

There is only so much we can do when an author stops updating on the site.

One major plus to using click once vs the v3 installer is that it has a fully integrated update system that'd be fairly hard for us to brick in development. Especially when compared to v3's.

Hey guys, please make sure you put all feedback bugs in the tracker for the project. You can do this from within the app. There is a small bug button in the bottom left.

It's a neat idea, I'd suggest filing a ticket in the tracker. That's the best place to submit those types of ideas.

Not sure about where the changelog for the windows version is. The option is under the advanced tab iirc. If the UI is extremely unresponsive it could be graphics card or ram contention.

@HunterZ have you tried to use the new software rendering mode? We're curious to see how that affects people.

we're looking at making the PC client fully open beta this week or next.

We pole their servers periodically through the day from ours. It's intentionally designed to put as little strain as possible on them.

I've spoken with Dolby over there about it and he knows that if he has any concerns or issues that he can come to me.

Simple answer: No.

We don't have intentions to update addons from other sites. However, in both the mac and pc v4 client we will be able to display when those addons are updated for you. This will in turn open up the page on the other sites so you can download them manually.

This is pretty much the limit of what we can ethically do to help our users.

Yeah an optional column is much more likely we tried the row coloring ideas in the past and they end up being confusing.

Well right now we're gearing up for public betas of both the mac and PC versions. We'll be making these available to all users.
