ROFL Arkive, I don't want to fight you!

It doesn't matter what your setup is, or what you think PitBull3 did. The only truth is this:
That checkbox you mention is specifically for Parties, and it has absolutely zero effect when you are technically in a Raid.

If you are in a Raid, then the power of that checkbox vanishes and you are stuck with what you have. Only in the auspicious confines of a true Party can one be blessed with the power of the checkbox.

Having an issue filtering. I've set the party frames to show while in 5-man party or 5-man raid (so I can use party frames instead of raid frames during arenas). When in a party all works as intended, but when I convert to a raid with five or less (including myself) it adds myself to the party frames. And yes, I made sure to uncheck the group option to include player in the index.

Kerecha is spot on. There's no way to configure PitBull or any other unitframe addon do behave the way you want it to. If you are in any sort of raid, you will be displayed. That checkbox you mention is specifically for Parties, and it has absolutely zero effect when you are technically in a Raid.

I'm not sure if i looked carefully enough, but are you able to reduce the width of the overhealbar ?
It's the vh4 module if that matters.

Just today I posted a ticket:
    609 improved (configurable) visual heal

There have been a few little comments here and there about where the Visual Heal modules were going, and I thought now was a good time to jump in on the topic of presentation. Especially seeing as I couldn't find a ticket to this effect before today.

CowTip_LuaText still lacks some features like Talents, Threat, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the whole point of LuaText? It doesn't actually have those features in the first place, the burden is on the user to think of clever code instead?

If you install LibRangeCheck-2.0 separately then that text should work again.

What's the "AddonSync" button? Does it find and preserve my modifications while updating the addon? That's probably too much to wish for, hunh? :)

I think that feature (when it's done) is planned so that you can use CC4 to play WoW on multiple computers and have the same addon settings (and addons) everywhere. This will be a very interesting feature for me, since I move from my desktop to my laptop when it's more convenient.

What features do you feel are missing? With the exception of the Saved Variables cleaner, v4 has every feature that v3 has, and more.

I'd some visual feedback for when the Curse Profiler data is cleaned out. I can see that the in-game memory usage of the profiler is increasing every day but I have no idea when or if CC4 is cleaning it out regularly. And there doesn't seem to be any options to manually trigger this process.

Actually, there was a lot of good language used in Shefki's last big post there. The problem is that we have so many synonyms in English, I wonder if the configuration is more difficult or less intuitive in the other localisations.

I agree that the word "group" is over-used, but it's difficult finding other ways to describe it. Shefki used the word "label" and I wonder if there might be some way to shoehorn that concept in somewhere.

Actually, something I was thinking was what if the configuration had a Basic and an Advanced mode. Call them different names if it's conceptually better. Anyhow, in Basic mode, the concepts of Layouts and Groups/Units are merged in some way. And there are no custom names for anything, all the lists contain the actual Unit/Group names and they are directly configured without the middle-men. Combined with meaningful default settings, people ought to be able to get going with PB4 faster and simpler. This would require quite an overhaul though, and since Advanced mode is significantly more advanced than Basic that might be a scary button for people to press. :)

For anyone who wanted "Layout inheritance" (including myself), this must be a stark reminder that the Ace3 options widgets limit us quite a bit. Indeed if the configuration is already this complicated, I shudder to think what this forum would look like if inheritance were in there too. :P

This is a bit off-topic, Torhal, but do you think the way frames hang around like a bad smell is "by design". Think Blizzard will ever decide to change this behaviour? What are the benefits we get from the current situation?

Also, have you had a chance to look at the proposed addition to tooltip colouring we were discussing earlier? I'm on the edge of my seat with suspense!

I like where CC4 is headed. Since my premium membership comes from me being an intrepid author and not from my wallet, I'm inclined to cushion these bugs with "you get what you pay for". Sure we are customers in a sense (and definitely if you actually forked out cash) but I think the majority of us on these forums got our memberships for free. I'm guilty of sounding over-entitled as much as anyone, but this is something to bear in mind I think.

    Keep up the good work!

I happened to actually read the splash screen today. I got a little concerned when I saw the first line: "Windows Firewall". I went and checked and sure enough the Curse Client now has an exemption in the firewall settings.

As I understand it, the Windows Firewall only concerns itself with inbound traffic that wasn't initiated by a local application. Can I ask: why do we need an inbound exemption for CC4? Is there some sort of push-notification on addon updates? If so, then why do we have a Refresh button?

Is it for AddonSync? I suppose linking CC4 across multiple computers directly would save you bandwidth and server storage. If it is indeed for AddonSync, would it be possible to not establish the exemption if we have the feature disabled?

Some visual feedback regarding the uploading of the Profiler data collected would be nice. At the moment I have no idea (in CC4) if or when this occurs. Also, I just noticed that I can't manually ask for this to happen. Under what circumstances is this automatic? Do I have to have CC4 open _before_ I start WoW and _after_ I close it?

It's possible Wulfegang is referring to the commit that was completely broken (RE: separate modules). I've updated since then and everything is back to working for the most part. I have noticed that the Combat Fader module is enable in the Blizzard addons list, but does not appear at all in the PitBull4 configuration.

That's not such a bad idea. However, once Curse Client 4 comes out we'll all benefit from sharing our UI setups across all the computers we use (optionally). I'll definitely look into it. Working with the Blizzard Calendar was quite tricky last time I looked so I can't make any promises.

But it's a really good idea.

I'm using Windows 7 (release candidate). The new application paradigm is to discourage use of the system tray. Applications are supposed to hide in their taskbar icon when minimised (just like Mac applications in Snow Leopard), the system tray is no longer the place for this.

Any chance we can get an option to not use the system tray at all? Or detect Windows 7 and just not show one at all on this OS?

As an aside, I've noticed that the Status column cannot be resized but when everything is "Up to Date" the default size introduces a tonne of white space.

I really like the "verbose" splash/loading screen, now I just need some addon developers to submit some changes so I can actually see this baby in action. :)

As for the performance problems previously reported, I'm really only noticing a slowdown when I resize the window. Scrolling is responsive and application start/exit times are satisfactory (on my quad-core beast).
