The latest version now includes an option for hiding Raid Finder lines. :)

Well that's the end of my quest and this thread can be marked as "SOLVED".

Thanks for that. I've just updated to the latest version and look forward to not seeing that "Raid Finder" text any more.

Also, if you check my wowinterface thread (which asked the same thing - link above), another user posted a 7-line solution that might be of interest - for comparison.

    Thanks.

You seem to have also posted in my wowinterface thread of the same name, where a user has posted a very interesting 7-line solution.

    I'll continue to post there.

That solution and the thread: HERE

Hopefully, I'll understand that user's solution and be able to find a 1-line solution - for the purposes of contrasting the two.

I made a simple one-line lua, last year, that removed the "Made by..." tag. It was only:

    ITEM_CREATED_BY=""

That feature was then integrated into a number of addons and so I didn't need mine any more, but I still like that idea of keeping things clean (Item Tooltip Cleaner, as you can imagine, is an addon I like).

What is the equivalent line, to the one I used above, for the "Raid Finder" text?

I know that it only removes the text that I see, but that's what I'd like to do.

    Thanks!

It's still working, absolutely fine, and was updated about two weeks ago.

However, I have just had the same problem again.

I did not re-install or otherwise do anything that I had not done several times before.

I logged into my characters, to find the lists of buffs to be cancelled / ignored gone.

Where are those lists stored and can they be relocated, so as to not be updated / cleared?

posted a message on Swap Ammo (auto)?
Rarely, but it happens, I find that I have not traded my ammunition.

This might happen when I am in an instance and haven't traded my standard ammunition for my epic.

I had hoped that AmmoGnome might help me with that, but it doesn't.

What I found, on wowinterface, was AmmoSwap2.
"This is an ammo swapping addon that uses Babble-Boss-2.2 to determine if a target is worthy of using your good ammo on."

Now that's far MORE than I was looking for, as it trades your ammunition on a target-by-target basis.

What I would like is something simpler - that can trade basic ammunition for epic (when I move into an instance) and epic back to basic (when I leave an instance).

Is there anything like that, preferably ace based?

Otherwise, is there an addon that can flash up a list of reminders - when entering an instance - that I have made?

I love this addon, though I wish that an auto-cancel was in the game's own interface.

Recently, perhaps since an update, I noticed that I lost the buffs that I had marked to be cancelled.

It is almost as though the list was stored within the addon's own folder, rather than externally, so got replaced when it was updated.

    How can I either:

    - save a list, to import after updates?
    - make sure the list of buffs (to cancel) is not lost?

    Thanks!

I had just found it, but that will be good for others.

    Roll on an Ace equivalent.

    Thanks.

Sounds good, but I cannot seem to find it - either in the ace addons or curse.

Would you mind linking me to it?

Is there any addon out there, that will allow me to line up my other addons?

I have things like Omen and Recount (and others, of course), that I would like to line up - to keep my screen space neat.

Is there anything that would help to do that - perhaps display a pattern on-screen to help me to do so?

    Thanks.

They might be, but I do not think my last post was. Re the download of addons:

"These were all downloaded from the wowace site itself. "

There ought to be no problem.

These were all downloaded from the wowace site itself. I also noticed that downloading BetterQuest made no difference - as though there is something common that is missing.

Install the addon called BugSack, which will report any error messages. Then paste the error messages here from BugSack. it is likely that you have an incomplete installation.

It does seem as though that could be the problem, but I thought that I had tried downloading more than once.

Here is the add-on screen now:
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/enigmachine/gathermate03.jpg
You'll note, if you have a look, that only Bug Grabber, Bug Sack and GatherMate have been enabled.

Here is what was first seen:

There were 7 startup errors, please use /buggrabber <number> to print them.
An error has been detected, use /buggrabber to print it.
    Usage: /buggrabber <1-7>

Here is what was seen, when I tried that, for number 1:
    1. BugSack\BugSack-enUS.lua:1: attempt to call global 'AceLibrary' (a nil value)
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/enigmachine/gathermate04.jpg

Each included language provided the same error message. Here is what was seen, when I tried that, for number 7:
    7. BugSack\BugSack.lua:34: attempt to call global 'AceLibrary' (a nil value)

I haven't had Gatherer for months.

In any case, I have done as suggested and still have the same problem.

Check it out. Here is my add-on screen:
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/enigmachine/gathermate01.jpg

You can see that GatherMate is the only one enabled.

Here is what happens when, in-game and outside in the wild, I type /gathermate:
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/enigmachine/gathermate02.jpg

    It doesn't make sense.

Hello there. This is my first post on these forums, so I hope I am asking my question in the right place.

I have put the GatherMate folder into my interface folder, and it is recognised at my addons selection screen, but nothing comes up in-game.

After having restarted several times, selecting and de-selecting the addon, there is still nothing. I have been using WowAceUpdater and so am sure that I have the most recent version.

Even doing as was advised in the first post, typing "/gathermate" (without the quote marks, of course), doesn't do anything.

What could be the problem and how can I correct it and get this started up?

The main attraction, over Gatherer, is that it's Ace-based. I'd hate to go back.
