Sounds like the hook to notify the packager is somehow missing for his repository.

Can that please be fixed? I don't want to have to bug other people to make a package each time I tag a new release.

This is still an issue. I tagged GridLayoutByRole 1.2 and the packager is ignoring my tag again.

How can I manually adjust the position of center text 2? When I install the GridManaBars, the part of center text 2 will overlapped on the mana bar. Thanks.

You cannot. If you need more precision over the positioning of text indicators, then install a plugin like GridDynamicIndicators that allows you to customize the layout of indicators inside the unit frame.

There is already an open ticket on this issue. In addition, one of the changes to Grid for this beta series is to remove the need for such plugins because Grid's new "By Group" layout will automatically adjust to the size of the raid.

posted a message on [Grid] GridLayoutByRole
GridLayoutByRole is a Grid layout plugin that groups roster members by role.

GridLayoutByRole adds two new layouts "By Role" and "By Role w/Pets" to the Grid Layout tab.

The roster is sorted into groups from left to right: tanks, melee DPS, healers, ranged DPS and an optional pets group. The roles are determined automatically based on a unit's class and specialization, but are overridden by the Blizzard party/raid roles.

I wrote this plugin because the the one that I was using previously for this purpose, GridConfigurableLayouts, no longer works in WoD and I didn't use any of the features of that addon other than grouping by role.

GridLayoutByRole is again not packaging after I push a new tag through Git.

For testing, I've just now pushed a 1.0 tag to the CurseForge for my project.

Yes, I deleted the tags because they weren't doing anything and I wanted to re-tag a "1.0" release from the latest sources. Yes, I created annotated tags.

No, I'm aware of how to push tags from my local repository to the Git repository on CurseForge. The problem is that when I push my tag, nothing happens. My project is in some state of limbo where it won't package because it's not approved, but it's not approved because I have no packaged files. I don't know how to resolve it.

I was looking at Grid/Frame.lua and in r1688, some code was added to add a small delay before reloading the layout after resizine the unit frames. However, it doesn't look like reloadHandle is ever set properly. I think it's meant to be a handle to the timer, but it's never initialized that way, and in Grid_ReloadLayout() it's used as the argument to CancelTimer().

This is just code inspection. I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding something there with the AceTimer-3.0 API.

To get corner text indicators, you will need to install a separate plugin for that. I personally use GridIndicatorsDynamic to create the text indicators I need.

Grid has the capability to show an aura duration as the text status of an aura. Open up the aura status in the Grid config and change the text status to "duration". There are also options to change the text color as well that you can change.

I have a new project GridLayoutByRole for which the packager refuses to create packages despite my attempts at tagging the repository.

posted a message on Retaining tag/branch history on SVN -> GIT
After spending a day and half working on this with Torhal's help, it seems like the answer is to hold off on retagging the commits until we have a new packager. I'll just keep a separate checkout with all of the tags added and when we eventually get a new packager, I'll push the tags to CurseForge.

posted a message on Packager & Curse.com think the wrong version is the latest release
Alright, I'm trying to directly upload a release file to see if I can get the various tools to reset their idea of what's the latest release, but it needs approval.

As regards the packager, is the code for the packager available somewhere, or can it be made publicly available?

I will see if I can maneuver the packager to get to the latest tag before trying other options.

I'm dissatisfied though because there is nothing wrong with the project's Git repository -- it is properly tagged and branched and has all of the project history. The problem is the packager, but the workaround that you're suggesting is to remove history from the repository or to blow it away and recreate the repository with no tags. That seems wrong to me as a developer and I believe this is a valid complaint.
