    ...although I might use SecureHookScript() anyways the next time you visit the code. It's not vital in this case, but I'm always wary of addons that taint the code path without a need to do so. I get bitten by random addons in the weirdest ways. Good habits make good code.

    An excellent point. Switched to SecureHookScript() and things still work. Thanks again.

    Yay!

    Thanks so much for the help guys!

    For reference, this works in Ace3:
    function addon:OnEnable()
        self:RawHookScript(FriendsMicroButton, "OnEnter", "OnMouseOver");
    end

    function addon:OnMouseOver()
        -- First call original funciton
        self.hooks[FriendsMicroButton].OnEnter(FriendsMicroButton);
        -- Now do what we need to
        GameTooltip:AddLine("Friends Online...", 0, 1, 0);
        GameTooltip:Show();
    end

    Ok, I'm missing something fundamental here somewhere. I'm trying to migrate my "BetterSocialTooltip" addon from Ace2 to Ace3. Things aren't working out so well.

    For some reason, I can't add lines to the GameTooltip in Ace3.

    The following code worked in Ace2:

    function addon:OnEnable()
        self:HookScript(FriendsMicroButton, "OnEnter", "OnMouseOver");
    end

    function addon:OnMouseOver()
        GameTooltip:AddLine("Friends Online...", 0, 1, 0);
        GameTooltip:Show();
    end
    But in Ace3, any manipulation of the GameTooltip seems to be ignored.

    How do I get around this?

    Sorry, I don't see where on the Curse site you can edit your project's page. There's just the page with the description/download/comments, and if I click the "Manage Project" link from my profile, it brings me back to WowAce's project page.

    Ok, maybe I'm just a moron or I'm blind, but I can't seem to find anywhere how to include screenshots with the description of my addons for WoWAce or Curse.

    Could someone please post some instructions on how to include a screenshot?

    Thanks.
    :)

    I guess I should advertise what this mod does:
    • Remembers last recipient and fills it in each time
    • Adds a drop-down menu to the recipient box. This drops down 4 categories: Alts, Friends, Guild, Other
    • Log in as each alt to get it listed in the Alts list
    • Delivery notification (sound optional) for items sent to non-alts
    • Right-click on a message in the summary window to collect items and money (one at a time)
    • Displays total money received once the mailbox window is closed
    • Options are found in the new 2.4 Interface Options - AddOns window

    I'm sure there are a few more items to note, but I can't remember them right now.

    Please post any feedback, suggestions, or bugs.

    At the urging of my friends, I'm releasing JebusMail to the general public. I thought it was "just another mail mod", but my friends really like it. It's based heavily on the old MailTo mod and Postman.

    It can be found at: http://files.wowace.com/JebusMail/JebusMail.zip

    posted a message on TortoiseSVN - I want to ignore my Libs Directory.
    Ok, call me a moron, but I prefer to develop my Addons right in my Wow/Interface/Addons folder so I can /console reloadui and test/debug quickly. Problem is, my addon's "Libs" folder. When I created the SVN for it I deleted the Libs folder (as per instructed) and added the externals in the svn:externals property.

    Now (of course) the addon won't work because the Libs folder is gone and no libraries are found.

    So I copied the Libs folder back in, right-clicked on it and chose Ignore from the TortoiseSVN menu. Now, when I commit any changes, I get an error similar to this:

    ...\AddOns\myaddon\Libs\AceAddon-2.0 is not a working copy.
    Can't open file ...\AddOns\myaddon\Libs\AceAddon-2.0\.svn\entries: The system cannot find the path specified.

    So, my guess is that I'm not ignoring the Libs directory properly, or I'm just plain doing it wrong. Can anyone give me a little help?
