    Updated just now to the version on Curse and it looks like the gradient is being remembered between sessions on the backdrop :) thanks.

    this is a blizzard bug not an addon bug. this can be fixed by installing BlizzBugsSuck which as the name suggests fixes various blizzard bugs. (Basically blizzard optionmenu api breaks when there are more addons than fit on the list of addons in the Interface menu(that can be shown at one time without scrolling))

    Other than that i have never used skinner so good luck with the rest of the bugs ;D

    Yeah I was just coming here to remove that from my post since it has started happening to some other addons ... but will just ACK it and go on since it got quoted. Thanks for the link :)

    The gradient issue still occuring though even after some other attempts to fix it.

    A couple of minor bugs:

    bug: "/skinner" doesn't open to "Interface / Addons / Skinner" options, but just to the "Interface / Game" panel.

    bug: I have a bottom frame enabled with gradient with the "inverted" option set. The gradient doesn't actually show though until I open the options and unselect "inverted" and reselect it ... it just shows as solid black until I do that. Once I unselect "inverted" it shows the gradient, then I can invert it properly.

    NOTE: If I leave it set with "inverted" off, the gradient appears properly (though not the direction I would like) when I log in, but the gradient isn't the same as it "should" be. The gradient is much more compressed.

    NOTE: I left this option off and instead tried to invert the gradient in the Gradient options. It still didn't appear until I toggled options in the Bottom Frame. Seems to be an issue with the Bottom Frame not getting painted in the right order (or painted at all maybe) when first logging in.

    I have a quandry regarding Skinner ...

    I originally grabbed it to reskin my minimap buttons so that they had -no- visible frame other than the icon. It looked perfect with my SexyMap profile. I disabled all other frames for Skinner and just used it for Minimap buttons.

    Then I decided I really liked the way the other frames looked when they were skinned with the default skin from Skinner. But that forces borders and backdrops on my minimap buttons again.

    Could you add an option for "minimal minimap buttons" tooltip like [removes backdrop from minimap button frame]?

    A similar option for the minimap clock would be great, but it isn't as bad with a backdrop as the buttons are.

    Also, Skinner doesn't skin the frame for the Calendar icon, mail icon (which seems to have no visible frame ... which is actually exactly what I want) nor for a couple of addons like DBM and DPM. Not a big deal, just FYI.

    Anyone know how to get the Lua text of the class for the Faction Champs in TOC/TOGC? Not their "game" class but the class name that appears in the spot where a guild name would be on a toon. Want to be able to see these on my Pitbull frame since 1/2 the time our tank just calls out "Paladin next" instead of marking.

    Example: during ToC against Baelnor Lightbearer, who has "<Paladin>" as his displayed name where guild is (this is what I'm trying to get), I figure out which variable is set to "Paladin".

    I've checked pretty much all of the Lua API variables that seemed like they might fill this area (and then some) ... results:

    GetGuildInfo(unit) = <null>
    UnitName(unit) = Baelnor Lightbearer
    UnitCreatureType(unit) = Humanoid
    AFK(unit) = <null>
    DND(unit) = <null>
    UnitClass(unit) = Baelnor Lightbearer
    UnitClassification(unit) = worldboss
    UnitCreatureFamily(unit) = <null>
    UnitCreatureType(unit) = Humanoid

    the code I used to check these all:

    return '%s %s %s %s %s %s %s %s %s', GetGuildInfo(unit) or "1", UnitName(unit) or "2", UnitCreatureType(unit) or "3", AFK(unit) or "4", DND(unit) or "5", UnitClass(unit) or "6", UnitClassification(unit) or "7", UnitCreatureFamily(unit) or "8", UnitCreatureType(unit) or "9"

    /run GetMouseFocus():Hide()

    ?

    just mouse over it :D

    I know this is a necro ... but ... running that command nukes the viewport now, at least for me. What I mean by that is the UI keeps running, but nothing in the 3D viewport moves any longer. Had to hard-quit WoW to fix it.

    If you're coming here to fix this issue, use an addon like MoveAnything. Far safer.

    Still loving PB4 ... I've got it doing pretty much everything I want it to. But there is still 1 thing not working quite right:

    I have 3D portrait, full body, enabled on my Player and Target frames. A lot of the time the target will show a very very zoomed-in portion of the target (as in with Lieutenant Murp you see only a part of his head), filling the entire area of the 3D portrait, instead of the full body. Happens a lot of bosses and very large things, but happens a fair amount on "normal" targets as well. No idea what the trigger for it is.

    If this is an unknown condition I'll screenshot it and post for you to see. If not, is there anything I can do to always force the shrunk full view instead of the zoomed in view?

    Apologies if asked and answered but at 137 pages ... hard to tell.

    I've got Pitbull4 and Castbars both installed. I need my Castbars to show on top of Pitbull. They do for 1 castbar (player castbar showing over player Pitbull unit). But another one is buried under the Pitbull frame (target castbar under Pitbull target unit).

    Is there a way to tell Pitbull to change the display order? I asked if Castbars can force itself up in the strata but the response (see the Curse page for Castbars for the comments) was to try to do it with Pitbull instead.

    I posted a couple of comments on Curse, but deleting to re-post here (fyi just in case these look a bit familiar):

    I'm loving it so far!

    1. Question: I'm a Lua newb. I'm currently modifying the Lua:Health text (I like being verbose) to show all the time and to color the missing/current/max numbers. I spent about an hour looking around for a Lua reference that discussed the following ... if you know of one that would cover this feel free to point me to it. Moving PitBull to Lua makes a lot of sense so I don't mind learning more.
    2. Q: Is there any way to modify "Short()" to display "k" abbreviations -always-?

      Example: right now anything under 9999 is shown as 9999, I would like 9999 to always show as 9.9K (or preferably 9.99K).

      Something small like 999 would become ".999K", 99 would be ".099K", etc.

      Just helps my brain to process numbers quickly if the context doesn't shift, and at 80 it doesn't make sense to show things in sub-K context.

      Alternatively I might see if Lua has a printf equivalent or do some more detailed function processing, but given how active this function is I would like to keep it simpler.

    3. Request: Any way to -not- show the target-of-target (and target-of-target-of-target) chain if the frame = Self?
    4. Ie, if I target myself it gets a bit recursive (hit F1 :)

      But also if I target something, and it targets me ... I should see myself (so I know I have aggro) but I shouldn't see the target's target's target, since that is the same as the target.

      Maybe the answer is (pseudocode):

      if (target = player) { don't show target }

      and

      if (anySubTarget = Target) { don't show that subTarget }

      Maybe there is LUA code I can use, but as mentioned above I'm just now learning some LUA and wouldn't know where to put it and this one would probably be handy for others, too.

    5. Request: Would be useful to have additional opacity settings on target of target, focus target, etc that would override the main setting. Currently I'm just scaling these down, but I'd rather make target-of-target 25% more transparent, and target-of-target's target 50% more transparent.

    6. Bug: Having a bit of a bug, first night with PitBull (it's replacing X-Perl + MoveAnything for me).
      • Click on a target to move the target frame
      • Target acquires a target-og-target and kills it while you are moving the Target frame
      • Can't unclick the Target frame to set its location

      Only way I found to fix this so far is to have to log out to "unclick" the target frame. Even if you "escape" or switch targets, the new target frame will be moving with your mouse. Or at least mine :)

    PS. Thanks again for PitBull, and apologies if the above are already covered in the thread, but 100+ pages is daunting. Maybe a separate threaded forum would be useful for a project this size?
