So, I've been working a small synthesis from various indicator modules that enables more individual customization. Each indicator has it's own anchor points, offsets, and can be a box, icon, or text. Each size, border, etc is independent as well. You can also make as many as you want if that's how you want it. This basically happened because I want not only corner texts for hots, but also 2 icons in the center for the two types of dispels most, if not all, healers have. I'm fairly new to developing so I have no idea how subversion works really but I think I've fumbled my way through...

The code is very rough since I haven't seen lua until about a month ago. I would welcome some experienced advise both code-wise and management-wise.

[I've attached it as zip since I'm not sure the svn worked 100%]

Could anyone with more knowledge of how Bartender4 works (I've looked through the code, but I am not too experienced with Lua and WoW addons so I have a hard time understanding it fully) help me? I've made a post, http://forums.wowace.com/showthread.php?t=18022 about what my goal/problem is. If someone could assist me in getting it to work with Bartender, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I tried hooking OnAttributeChanged as you said but to no avail. I put a print in there to see if even got to the hooked function and it didn't.

posted a message on Non-macro Mouseover
So I've run out of space for macros and I was looking for an addon solution to this problem. I ran into Macrotexter, but it was out of date and nonfunctional. Thus, I am trying to write something small that would allow me to replicate the functionality of a "[@mouseover]" macro.
    Here's what I have so far: http://paste.wowace.com/1974/

It works for the default bars, but when I tried to apply it to Bartender4, things start to act weird. I created a couple of /script macros in game to test some things out and when I hooked "SetAttribute" to print the self, name, and value, it fires when I manually set the "unit" attribute to "mouseover"; however, after I cast a Power Word: Shield, the mouseover functionality stop but the SetAttribute hook does not show it being called. This does not happen with Flash Heal; when I cast Flash Heal, it retains its mouseover capability.

I'm looking for advise on how to get around this OR a better way to implement this.
