    Hi gi2k15,

This is because these two programs use different methods to identify whether the Addons are up to date or not.

As a matter of interest why do you use both of these programs, do they each provide something the other one doesn't?

I generally use WAU when I want to look up for new addons since it can sort by category, a feature WUU doesn't have. I rolled a druid some time ago and I installed some addons using WAU and filtering by "Druid".

I don't know if this was already answered, but if I update the Ace addons using WUU and then open the WAU, the latter says the addons WUU updated are out-of-date and updates them again. Why?

    another data point for you.

there were absolutely no changes on my part, to anything. i simply launched WAU this morning, immediately after system startup, as the very first step in preparation for WoW game play. this resulted in an "empty box".

    i run windows vista ultimate.

i tried reloading the index via WAU, and it seems to download and process, but WAU retains the empty box.

i uninstalled/reinstalled repeatedly. i tried both the default WAU (with ads, v1.9.45.718) and the "ad free" version from sourceforge (v1.9.43.600), fetching fresh installers from both locations and uninstalling/installing before attempting to update.

no joy. empty box from all versions from all sources.

the "ad free" version seems to fail silently (don't know enough to dig out any log files that might exist). the default version (i.e. with ads) generates the error (in the "updated" and "output" views, as witnessed by other posters):

Error loading addon list Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    Auto-retry of addon list load
Error loading addon list Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
    Complete

Having the same issue. Just uninstalled an addon and then this happened.

posted a message on What professions can do
I'd like to know if there is an addon that shows in-game what every professions can do and their respective materials. For example, if I want to craft an armor but I'm not a blacksmith, this addon would be able to show me the mats for this item, so I can buy them at AH and ask a BS to craft it for me. I'd be like a catalog of every recipes and crafting skills. Such thing exists?

Can I just setup the keybindings using the Blizzard interface or is there an easier way, like Bongos?

I didn't find an option to unset a texture to the editbox. Seems like if you set one, you will stand with it for ever. Can this be fixed or this option already exists and I'm not finding?

No, I think it just resets before or after leaving a combat.

I noted an issue yesterday that's bugging me. I am a hunter and I'm using Violation for a month and loving it. But yesterday, a guy from my party was using Damagemeters, and I noticed something. Our data was very inaccurate. I was the top damage done according to Violation, with a great distance from the second place. But according to Damagemeters, I was the third! Damagemeters was not broadcasting according to the sync report. I installed the addon that expands the combat quest log radius to 250 yards too.

So, the question is very simple: how much can I trust both addons? Which one seems to be more accurate? I really like Violation and want to use it for ever, but one thing that's important is accuracy, right?

Any explanation of why both addons were reporting so different results?

Combat log range. Any damage meter can only report what it sees. Some authors made a workaround by adding syncing, which is good, but not really necessary. It's easy to extend the combat log range to 250 yards so you see every thing that happens. Also, Violation doesn't sync with DamageMeters/SW_Stats, Violation "watches" those two addons.

What's the default combat log range Damagemeters and SWStats use? Because I was thinking now, since I'm a hunter, I combat by far, so sometimes the distance between another player and I may be too high if the default range is set to, like, 30 or 50 yards. Now I'm using 250 yards, so I guess everyone is in my combat log range.

Looks like the problem is with the range itself. Good to know Violation is still accurate, at least it seems so.

Oh, by the way, is there a way to implement a feature to reset all modules when you join a party? I usually like to do it before starting a raid or instance, but sometimes I simply forget to do it. An auto thing here would be great!

Is there a way to implement a minimize button to the detached frame? That'd be great, thanks!
