I've been using Cart 3.0 since CKK rolled it out. I love it. Right now it's not populating the instance maps, but IMO it is 10 times better than the Cart 2.xxx.
I remember this being an Ace mod, can someone confirm or deny this? I didn't see that it was updated on Curse, and it's not in the project pages here. I was hoping it would get some loving to be compatible with version 3. The code seems pretty clean. I see it is calling old libraries. I'm not sure if updating those would be enough to bring this back to life.
I came to WowAce because of finding some of the WowAce mods on "distribution" sites. Then I often found here that someone had made a mod that did what I was looking for. But I only installed WAU months later because of not always getting the libraries thing right. WAU always got it right. I didn't feel it was a convience so much I wasn't breaking stuff. And for a bit no other "updater" got it right. I still manually install a majority of the addon's I use from curse, wowi, or directly from the author's site. And I've tried to be good about searching for the error messages before I post in any forum. Plus I've spent time reading not just these forums, but forums in other places to learn as much as I can so I can troubleshoot things on my own. And to help out guildies who are having problems getting mods working.
I am a user, and a coder of other languages. I've done some reading on lua, but I'm not sure that I will ever write any lua code. Does that make me bad or unwelcome cause I'm not a dev? I have no issue with saying there are people who do it better, but should it result in a wall that divides the haves from the have nots? But I digress....
But with this change to Curse, it doesn't feel like it's paying for bandwidth (cause in reality all of us are already paying for bandwidth from our homes to where ever we're connecting to). It does feel like it's paying for the convience of one button to update it all. I have donated to mod authors (the most noteable is Auctioneer), and I would have donated here also. It seems however, that I would be in the minority.
Now it seems that WowAce is a victim of it's own success.
I am hoping that this is where I report addons not updating correctly. At first it was just Dominos. Now it's also Cartographer 3. JWU sees that an update is available, but when I tell it do update it does nothing.
Just in case someone else has this question again in a year or two. Forget the mod recommended in here, as it does too much stuff. Most of which is done in other chat mods. Simplicity is key. So far, as of the date of this post, nothing autojoins. However, ChannelFu will retain custom channel info. So if you enter a channel to join and monitor in ChannelFu, it will remember that and you can just click it from the menu to join again when you login. Cheers!
A question about leader and master loot icons. I have noticed that Pitbull is not displaying the party/raid lead icon or master loot icon when I target/focus someone else who is lead or master looter. It does show these on my unit frame if I am lead or master looter. PVP icons do show on the target and focus frames. I put Pitbull in configuration mode and saw that these icons only exist for my frame, not the target/focus. (I could swear they existed before). I have checked all settings and all boxes for these are checked. Am I missing a setting somewhere or is this working as intended? If this is working as intended is there some way/mod to give me that indication back? FYI I only use Pitbull for my unitframe, my target, and my focus. I use Grid for party/raid frames.

I'm in and patching for Open beta as I type. Thanks Ackis for the mods you have created already for it. I've already dl-ed it. See you in the War!
