As a user I love SVN as a publishing mechanism, especially the way it is presented by WAU. The sad truth is that many addons don't have even a few lines describing them (let alone a screenshot), in the wiki or anywhere else. If they did have a wiki entry then WAU would take me there to see the screenshots and text.
SVN isn't the problem; it's the lack of documentation itself.

Ah, I wasn't clear enough - I was talking about adding new modes through additional addons, which would involve coding. Then people could extend Recount with new modes without affecting the core of the addon. Admittedly they'd be rather small addons. :P

Hehe that's the main thing :)
On the other hand, there's a shadow priest in my guild that's always moaning that there should be a "damage + healing" chart, just so he can be at the top of it. It would be nice to be able to add other charts without having to touch the original files.
Feb 4, 2008Hi guys,Posted in: General Chat
I'm trying to put together a load of links to my favourite addons, 95% of which are to be found here on WowAce.com (WAU rocks!). I'm having trouble, though, because the majority of addons don't have a wiki page and I don't really want to link to other sites like Curse.
Is it really the case that so many of the WowAce addons don't have a place they call home? Should I start adding wiki pages for the missing ones? Or am I missing the point altogether? I've had a good hunt around and haven't found answers to these questions.
Cheers and keep up the good work!

Is it possible to create a category for Bind on Equip armor & weapons? I.e. I don't want the green items I find to be in the "Equipment" bag but seperately somewehere else. I usually send those to an alt for disenchanting, and it's always a pain to mouse-over most of my equipment to search for greens.
I tried to do that but couldn't get it working quite the way I needed. Now, however, I use the ItemRack filters to separate the stuff I use from the stuff I don't use, so I can easily see what needs getting rid of. If I need something then it gets added to an ItemRack set and so disappears out of the general equipment/weapons sections.
Jan 21, 2008Been using Baggins for a while and it's fantastic. However, I find configuring the bags somewhat cumbersome, especially having to do it twice (once for bags, once for bank). I have been using the option to copy sections between the bag and bank versions, but what would be really nice is if I could configure one set of bags and have them used for both, saving the need to copy them at all.Posted in: General AddOns
What hasn't helped is the "copy from" option, which I have tried to use to copy a whole bag configuration to the equivalent bank slot. But whenever I've done this it remains empty no matter what I do (and yes I checked the "bank" option after copying!).
I was also wondering if anyone had posted their profile anywhere - it seems like the defaults leave a lot to be desired, and it's hard work configuring your own!
Nov 18, 2007Hi guys, here's an idea...Posted in: Addon Ideas
When I get spammed by one of our gold farming friends I'm perfectly happy to right-click and report them, but what annoys me is that all of the spam text remains, filling up my chat window. Invariably I scroll up through the spam in case I missed something important just before it was received.
I'd like to see an addon that simply hides all of the messages sent by a spammer up to the point at which I reported them.
