posted a message on FuBar_EmoteFu2 - Problem getting new emote to work
Custom emotes cannot be seen cross faction unfort. All they see is <you> makes some strange gestures or some such.

No idea what's wrong with your code up there as I didn't look too deep into it since the goal is to be seen by other faction players.

Depends on the addon you are using, if it's all Ace2 addons: most use AceDB and therefore have a profile command to choose the default profile (usually default for the addon also but not always) or character specific profile.

I could just be half asleep but I do not see GhostPulse on the wowace svn. If I'm not full of it then I'd suggest that you go over to wowinterface (where it is posted) and asking there. I doubt the author would be looking at a place where he didn't release the addon for support requests.

If I'm full of it and just not seeing it disregard this message.

Some people mention crashing, is it even possible that some of the crashes that have been reported here ,http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=12787.0 , were from Skillet? I use this version and I have cooldowns.Possible?

Unlikely as I've removed skillet completely and still had those crashes listed on the other page at various times.

posted a message on ERROR: Memory allocation error: Block too big. Count: Infinite
I doubt it's AI as I've gotten it a few times myself after playing for a few (4-6) hours and do not have AI.

I have noticed the error message moves around a bit is never the same (sometimes it's even a blizz function/file).

This is what I've seen: My normal memory usage is 50-70mb. After a few 3-4 hours I look down and it's up to say 80-90 no biggie there (though could probably scale down my addons). When the error occurs I look down and it's at 140+mb . . . just this spike and then nothing can happen, no frames can be created, though already up frames usually work ok. I haven't had the problem lately as I've removed a few higher memory addons, but I still see the spike after 4-5 hours of questing (and now just do a /rl to make sure it doesn't hit me)

Not sure if any of that is useful. The odd thing is that once it hits, showing/hiding or creating ANY frame causes another error and fails. Ie can't bring up any menus, even the edit bar will not work unless it was up when the errors started (and then it won't hide).

For now I'm just avoiding the error by watching my memory once I have more time I'll just start paring down my addons.

To the end user the framework shouldn't matter one bit. The amount of memory and cpu for running another framework is negligible. It's the addon itself and how well it's coded that matters.

I tried using something like "if HP(known=true) = nil" to determine whether HP was known or unknown, but it did not give the desired effect...

At work right now so can't test but you probably do not need the = nil part

    Try

[if HP(known=true) then (insert tags when known here) else (insert tags when unknown here)]

Let me know how it goes

When setting up your UI you should really be running Bugsack so you can go back and look at any errors. You can remove it (but why?) once everything is working if you wish. Please run that and tell us if there is an error when the change occurs.

posted a message on FuBar 3.0
<Offers some advice to those FuBar, Cart, etc. users who have been having troubles and/or complaining about the upgrade in the first place>

As has been said before in this and other threads. If you use WAU to update your addons, you are getting non-release quality beta software. In that veign . . . read forums like a hawk, update daily or even every time you login. There will be bugs, they will get fixed. Look to see if already reported, if so and you have more information then comment, if not report them. Remember for CKKs projects the appropriate place is on Trac. Make sure before you do that you have the latest version (the number of checkins at the moment isstaggering).

If you are unable or unwilling to do these, then eaither a.) deal with bugs or b.) go to the last release quality version (which was linked multiple times in each thread).

If you have comments about changes occuring: They happen, these addons are CKK's babies and his to do with what he wishes, you do not have to follow suit and use them (or use the upgrades for that matter, you are welcome to use old versions, though getting support will be difficult).

Thank you CKK for providing quality free software that has to take obscene amounts of time to code, bugfix and support. I swear, do you ever sleep?

Disclaimer: I am not intending to flame, just to inform/remind those who skip steps in the process, and/or think this is an addon release site.
