I tried right-clicking on the Fel Armor icon to whisper the warlock in our party that didn't have it up but it didn't do anything.

    Is that intended?

    Usage instructions here:
    http://www.wowace.com/wiki/RaidBuffStatus

It's Ctrl-Click for whispering. Shift-Click for reporting only that one buff to raid. Click to enable/disable.

Don't forget that Enhancer Schamans use no Oils, they use Windfury enchant on their weapons. :)

    Yes I know :)

I implemented temporary weapon buffs this evening. I hoped to get it included in 1.70 release that went out just now. However in testing in a raid to MH tonight it was not spotting a lot of weapon buffs. I think I just need to work out all the patterns to match so it's 99% done. It even checks if there is a an enhancement shaman in the peoples groups. However it needs to only check this for mele dps.

Sounds good. Thanks a lot for the good job.

What about the check for weapon oils?

Soon. Maybe the next feature to add.

Preview of the new features in the next version to be released on Wednesday:
    Version 1.70 21st May 2008
-- Added a feature where it tells you how long someone was AFK, Offline, PVP or dead.
-- Added a feature where Ctrl-click Shadow Protection and it will whisper all the Priests a list of who needs it.
-- Added a feature where Ctrl-click Arcane Intellect and it will whisper all the Mages a list of who needs it.
-- Added a feature where Ctrl-click Mark of the Wild and it will whisper all the Druids, with the most talent points spend in MotW, a list of who needs it.
-- Added a feature where Ctrl-click Fortitude and it will whisper all the Priests, with the most talent points spend in Fortitude, a list of who needs it.
-- Added a feature where Ctrl-click Spirit and it will whisper all the Priests, with the most talent points spend in Spirit, a list of who needs it.

Does that add all the whisper features you wanted? Or do you want locks too?

    Released.

BTW the whispering is only for self buffs. To whisper the person who does the buff is much more complicated. For example MotW must be done by those with talent points spent and the same for fortitude and so on. If you have 3 locks who would do the soul stone? It's possible just complicated.

I implemented the whispering and a few other features over the weekend. Unfortunately some bugs showed up in testing in a real raid last night. I will try and fix tonight and release.

    1. There are two things that I have difficulties seeing. When a buff has been turned off on the main window and when a class is not present for that buff. Could you red out the icon if the class isn't present and put a red "x" through it if you've turned it off? (doesn't have to be those two things.. just something to help make it easier to recognize)

Currently it goes blank with no number when the class isn't present. And has a dot when disabled. I will look into making it clearer.

    Quote from dogsalad »

    2. Ideally, if I have Battle and Guardian selected, it would just check for those two. If you have Flask selected it would check for that and if that isn't present it would fall back on whether guardian/battle are being checked. So, like in my case, it would say whether a person has a flask or a battle elixir and would ignore it if I wasn't using a guardian elixir. (The reason I ask for this change or "Flask or 1 elixir" addition is guardian elixirs aren't required for our raids for some classes as their benefits are minimal/useless for them.)

I think this is possible by making a separate buff check. You would disable the current one and enable the new one. I will add it to the todo list.

    Quote from dogsalad »

    3. Could you make right click disable the buff and left click announce that particular buff status to the raid/party?

Shift left click announces to raid that buff. This mimics XRS. At this stage I don't want to change it.

    Quote from dogsalad »

And a quick bug report: I couldn't get the Battle/Guardian Elixirs to report if I turned off flask reporting and the person has neither a guardian or battle elixir on. Missing Guardian reporting worked when that person uses a battle elixir.

Ok thanks I will look into it.

A new version was released last night with an options window allowing you to choose which buffs and when etc. Version 1.50.

I am glad it finally works. Thanks for letting me know.

What we do for food is always expect everyone to have it even on trash. For trash we recommend cheap 20 stam food and only on the boss more expensive food. 25 people with 20 stam is at least 5k more damage the raid can take. And it's so cheap.

However I have always intended the buffs to be configurable as to when to check them and when I get round to a config window you will be able to adjust to your guild policy.

1 - I see you're working on blessings, I wanted to warn that raidbuffFu shows who got what blessings but at the same time since blessings can change so often depending on fight and such it is useless to post missing info on the chat because it'll tell for example that the whole party is missing blessing of light when nobody should really have it up, and change it from fight to fight would require too much effort.
My suggestions is that you add all the blessings on the window so ppl can see who's missing what BUT when actually printing out on the chat, just output ppl who are missing a blessing (For example if you have 3 paladins, but some ppl only have 2 blessings on them) or ppl who might have the wrong blessing (Like a druid healer with might, or a mage with might).

I've not started work on the blessings yet. It's only on the todo list. What makes it hard is multi-purpose classes where some need salv and some don't for example. And different encounters need different blessings. All I can do is like you say spot obvious things like might on mages and salvation on people on the tank list.

2 - It would be nice to have some tooltip telling what the 2 arrow buttons at the top do (And 1 of them at the moment just outputs a string like "BRS: options Window :BRS")

Tooltips are never on window popups so it would break standards. The top left does not need explanation when you're in a party or raid - it's obvious and is described on the wiki. I have removed the top right button as it's taking longer than expected to get round to implementing the options window that that button will open. The "RBS:: <Options Window>: RBS" is a joke. It's saying RBS is missing an options window. It's gone for now to stop confusion.

I have looked at the in-game addon options that was adding in 2.4 that addons like omen use. But I don't like it. Wrong shape for what I want. We will see.

    Quote from NooK »

3 - A fubar option to be able to easily hide and show the window would also be nice

    "/rbs toggle" in a macro.

I don't use fubar but I know a lot do so yes eventually it will.

I have released a new version tonight. It completely replaces the translations of all the elixir and flask and food and buffs with spell IDs and use of the new 2.4 API function GetSpellInfo(). This should make it work in any language now automatically and finally fix the German problems. Of course for the buttons and messages to be in the right language they will need translating but no long the buffs themselves.

I know exactly where it's going wrong now. I will be able to fix it this weekend. I will also be able to reduce the number of translations a bit using the new getspellinfo() call added in 2.4.

Thanks for the translations. I have an idea how to fix your problem and will have a go at doing it this weekend. I will also look at how other addons work with German.

However what's strange is how the TW and others work just not yours. You are using the German version of WoW right? The screen shot looked like it.

It isn't finished right now, but here is a short update for the deDE Client.

Thanks. I have updated the addon and released the changes. I have commented out the lines without translation so it does not cause an error.

What is the code for the letter "?"?

You mean ae? I don't know.

    Quote from Opi »

Is it possible to check also the temporarely weaponenchants like oels, sharpen stones, etc.?

Yes definately. This will be done in the future.

    Quote from Opi »

Is it possible to put a button on the bar for a ready check?

    Yes definately.

    Quote from Opi »

One Problem, I was in a raid for Zul'Aman and i tested the addon. Works finde, but the check for flasks doesn't work at all. All player had flasks or elexirs and the button on the mod says: No flasks
Why? Do I miss something to change?

The translations for all the flasks and elixirs must be complete and 100% accurate even in the captitalisation "Flask of Foo" vs "flask of foo". Check what flasks/elixir buffs they have and check them in the list.

Do I have to look only inside the "Locale-deDE" file?

Yes only that file. Then restart WoW.
