Tested in a 10-man so far (25 this weekend); no more taint.

Excellent. I still don't know the cause and just fixed the symptom. It will do for now.

Still hoping for an option to remove the minimap button, like all other mods that have such buttons have. Will be deleting Minimap.lua and hoping it doesn't bug out when doing so soon.

Yes that is coming. Remove the minimap line from the raidbuffstatus.toc and restart wow. Should work but I've not tested it.

New version released just now. 1.92. It should fix the taint spam, show battle shout talent points and also add the missing weapon coatings.

Still to do is a bunch more options like skinning, 10/25/40 man options, and many others.

There is a way to do that, you might wanna ask in the official forum of JWowUpdater about how to do it.

posted a message on JWowUpdater - A new java addons updater for ace2
jwowupdater breaks my addon by moving the external libraries out of it when someone installs. Actually it's not jwowupdater's fault - the issue is one of the externals is old and so unless "load out of date addons" is ticked it stops it working. It is SpecialEvents-Aura-2.0 that is the problem. See here: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=11839.msg230099#msg230099

My question is what can I do to my addon (RaidBuffStatus) to either tell jwow to not move the externals or to not move just that one external?

I've been too busy away on business and also working on guild organisation for the last 2 weeks so I've had no chance yet to look at any recent requests. Sorry. But I've not forgotten you.

I'm not too sure, but i've reported errors similar to this (libraries splitting incorrectly), and i think the author of Baldrick found a way to fix it.

Like I say the problem is likely the aura library addon not being enabled on your wow and not an RBS fault. What would be nice is a way to tell the updater to NOT split up the included libraries inside an addon.

    TipTac got it?

I myself use RaidBuffStatus atm but I don't like it (the other functions I don't use) I just use the see what talent specializations my group is, so I was wondering if there is any smaller addon for the job then RBS. I'll check TipTac out if it features it.

ZOMG you don't like my addon? QQ

    Seriously though check out scrub.

Yeah, it's no problem if i just download the addon manually with externals and ignoring it with JWoWUpdater to stop it from splitting it. There is a way to make this all work seamlessly with the updater though, but it's no major problem.

How does one make it work seamlessly with the updater?

Please change Warrior Fury spec icon from Battle Shout to Defiance (As it is by default for Fury skills in the Spellbook). It does disract sometimes.

I have not hard coded the icon. It is the icon the blizzard api returns from the call GetTalentTabInfo(). All of the class spec icons come automatically from the API call. Are you sure it's incorrect? If it is then it's a bug in WoW not in RBS.

Moreover, please add a check for warriors if they have improved Battle Shout and Demo Shout.

    It already does Demo Shout.

What do you mean improved Battle Shout? What talent is that? Is it Booming Voice?

    Updating with JWowUpdater.

JWowUpdater by default does not include externals within the addons and installs them as seperate addons. This apparently makes things faster but also is more likely to break. Assuming you do not want to change the config of jwowupdater, what you need to do to fix the problem is ensure the SpecialEvents-Aura-2.0 addon library is installed and enabled. This library seems to be "out of date" so check loading of out of date addons is enabled.... you can see why I prefer addons to be installed WITH externals which is the default setting of WoW Ace Updater - my preferred updater.

RBS 1.90 isn't registering Earthen Elixir as a Guardian Elixir, which it is. The folks I raid with that use it are annoyed at me for flagging them as slackers. =)

I can certainly add it. However I would not recommend that it is used in raiding. The damage reduction calculation is done BEFORE any other reduction from blessings, armour, resistances, spells and so on. So buffed in a party or a raid it will do next to nothing or even nothing if you are maxed out on damage reduction (75%). You would be far better off with Fortitude or some other elixir.

RBS is for spotting slackers and those using Earthen Elixir are slacking IMO. They should learn the game mechanics and use more useful elixirs. There's a reason that elixir is not listed and is so cheap - it's crap.

Sometimes in raids I get people saying "But I have an elixir". So I inspect them and it turns out to be pre-tbc. They are slacking :)

Sent you a private message with the list just now.

    OMG 361 addons installed. :)

Investigating further I still suspect another addon is triggering an event when it should not. Alternatively the problem is caused by too many addons trying to do secure actions between the PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED event firing and the UI being locked down.

I use addon:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED", "EnteringCombat"). And that resizes the window. Is is the resizing and hiding of buttons that wow is objecting to. Somehow it is being done after the UI has locked down in combat.

Is there a way to stop group 6 being checked?

Our raids consist of group 1-5, group 6 being reported is rather annoying as 6-8 are the spare groups.

I've changed it back to ignore 5-8. And added a minimap button. Next version after this it will open config like Omen where you will be able to configure things like groups to ignore. I need to work out how to interface with the blizz addon config api. So maybe some time after this weekend.

    Thanks for the answer.

It's an interesting idea but I don't like it. I want to provide the option with the addon and not require another addon to be installed to make the minimap icon appear.

The more I look the more I see people using FuBar. At least 3 addons I use use it so although overkill it would not be too inefficient.

Ideally I would like to implement the minimap icon myself for code brevity but comparing that with using existing popular libraries and speed of implementation makes me consider fubar more.

Edit: I found this http://www.wowace.com/wiki/LibMMButton-1.0 and will look at it.
