posted a message on Detecting real group changes?
Going crazy and getting lost here.

My current project requires the addon to keep track of everyone in the user's party (party, not raid) and certain bits of information about those persons. To update this information, the obvious track is to look for changes in the group makeup. However, PARTY_MEMBERS_CHANGED fires far more often than is necessary or useful (when new players join the raid, when players go too far out of range, when players go offline, when a solo user invites someone to a party (and then again when they accept or decline)). Should I just stick to this event and update the relevant information more often than is strictly necessary, or is there a better way?

I've got a problem with a phantom line showing up on unguilded players between their name and health. Between those lines, I've got the following- could someone help me figure this out?

    Left Line 2:
[if Status then Status ':' end]

    Right Line 2:
    N/A

    Left Line 3:
[(if (Guild and Guild = 'player':Guild) then Green else (if IsEnemy then Red else Cyan end) end) (if Guild then Guild:Angle else (if not IsPlayerOrPet then Faction end) end)]

    Right Line 3:
    [(if Zone then Zone end)]

posted a message on Tracking cause of death (of group members)?
I haven't noticed any addons that do this, but then, I've been looking for excuses to hack things together so I may not have been trying overly hard.

My thoughts are to track, on a per-person basis, the last event to damage someone, and log/print/whatever that when they UNIT_DIED. Unless there's something painfully obvious that I've missed, I can't really imagine another way to do it. So, am I missing something?

Cannot page by combination of stance/modifier key.
    Example:
Bar 1 pages to Bar 2 when ALT is pressed, or Bar 3 when Bear Form is active. Pressing ALT always pages to Bar 2. It is impossible to set a Bear Form + ALT combination for Bar 1 by:
-Setup for Bar 1 (no such option exists)
-Setup for Bar 2 (Bear Form paging has no effect if this bar is paged to)
-Setup for Bar 3 (ALT paging has no effect if this bar is paged to)

Also to reiterate from the previous page: also clamping to the screen edges.

I sure would not mind such a feature - but wouldn't it be less space-consuming to just color the stacks differently?

Friend of mine did that for his raid setup.... now how do I insert pictures here... ah damn, I'll just link to it:
    Clicky for screenie
Green are the "mandatory" buffs, so that one can immediately see when one of those is missing. Yellow is paladin auras, blue is other buffs, red is debuffs.

That is a possibility, but it brings up an issue that I had not considered (and does not apply to me). A colr-impaired user would have great difficulty sorting buffs with this addon, being forced to choose different sizes or textures, the first of which would degrade the continuity of an interface, the second being far less noticable.

It seems roguedude brought this up back in July, but I'd like to reiterate the desire for the ability to have the headers (anchors) visible without having the frames unlocked with a "Blessing of Demonstration" showing. They look nice and cleanly seperate buffs from debuffs- with buffs stacked above debuffs (which is, I believe, default), the anchors serve to give an obvious visual cue as to where the debuffs begin.
