I apologise if this has been answered before. I've attempted to search this thread and 50+ pages is a lot to read through.

I currently have my chat frames set up with the default "General" and "Combat Log", but I've made additional windows that will only capture whispers and guild chat specifically. I've done this so that guild messages and whispers don't get lost in spam or pushed out of the buffer nearly as quickly.

My problem is that occasionally, these windows will "disappear". It usually occurs when I receive a whisper and then my whisper window will no longer be clickable or selectable. Usually some time passes and then I can once again mouse over these windows and change the frame focus to them.

Is anyone familiar with this behaviour? Any clues as to which settings I would need to tweak in Prat to put a stop to this?

Yeah I get this too. I did a workaround to stop it from happening. In Prat config make sure the ChatTabs module is loaded and then go to Display Settings (still in Prat) and click on Tabs. Now put a mark in all your chatframes making sure they have a yellow and not white mark. This will force them to always be shown and they won't disappear anymore.

Has anyone but me experienced the double timestamp problem from time to time?

I can't really seem to figure out what triggers it, but sometimes looting and NPC talk will come with a double timestamp. Any ideas?

Its a bug with the 2 column chatframes. I just havent had the energy to fix it. That option (in timestamps) can be turned off if you want. I do know about it, I just dont know when I'll get around to fixing it.

I see, thanks for the info. I'll just turn that off for now even though it's quite a nice feature :)

    Thanks for your hard work.

Hi. I have been having a very odd "bug" for some time now and since I can't seem to figure out why I get this I thought I'd try my luck here :)

Prat is the only chat addon I have currently and whenever I scroll up I sometimes see a line or 2 sort of sticking to the top of the chatbox even though I kept scrolling. This makes the line appear twice in my chatbox until I have scrolled far enough to clear the original line from the screen.

Anyone knows if this is a bug with Prat or perhaps because of some other addon? I can provide screenshots if I didn't succeed in explaining the situation clearly enough.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: just noticed there is already a ticket about it but that's for CopyChat module. I don't have this loaded and experience the bug in my regular chatbox.

Disable "Hide when possessing" on your other bars.

Atually this is already unchecked. I have also tried disabling the Stage Configuration for every bar except bar 1 and tried various different settings with the Stage Configuration but nothing seems to keep all my bars from hiding when I go in "vehicle-mode".

This might be due to WoW forcing them to hide, as I just noticed they also get hidden with standard actionbars. I guess my question now still is "is it possible to stop WoW from hiding my actionbars automatically?"

    Thanks

Hi. I am not sure if this is a bug, me not configuring BT properly or if it's working as intended. Whenever I enter some sort of vehicle my actionbar 1 switches as I told it to but it also hides every other actionbar. Why is this and is it possible to stop BT from doing this so it only pages actionbar 1 and nothing else?

    Thank you.

    Hi Rabbit.

I was wondering if you had any intentions of adding an option to announce x-top winners and/or announce the entire list of rolls in ascending/descending order?

This is a feature I really miss and I would love to get it within my favorite roll addon :)

Thanks angelike, I tried this and it seems to work. No errors upon login and so far no bugs when using beql.

Use pageing and set the "extra" bar to "always hide".

Not sure if I understand this perfectly. How do you get it to show when going into the stance?

Not currently, but you can hold shift while moving the bars to temporarily turn it off. I'll add a option to turn it off completely soon

Great, holding shift is sufficient for my needs, thank you.

I have another question for you while you're here :p. Is it possible to have a bar hiding itself until you go into a specific stance? I am thinking of making a 4 button bar for Metamorphosis on my warlock and I would like it to be hidden until I can actually use the 4 actions that Metamorphosis grants you. Perhaps there is some custom conditional?

Bar snapping is already back in the WotLK version of Bartender4, but i currently have no plans to port that to the live version. So be patient, and wait for the 3.0.2 patch to hit :)

Sorry if I missed it somewhere in the options, but is it possible to turn this feature off?

I'm 100% sure you have another error during load of the addon that you didn't tell me about, so i cannot help you :(

My first bet however, you try to run with dis-embeded libs (or "No Externals" how some updaters call it), and that mode is currently broken on beta and PTR, unless all librarys are adjusted

You were right. Apparently the zip file downloaded from your SVN doesn't contain all the libs needed. I made a copy paste of the "libs" folder from the live-version and put it in my 3.0.2 PTR version of Bartender4. Now everything seems to work as it should :)

I read through the thread but I can't find any instructions on how to install this for the Wrath Beta. I imagine I'm missing some Libs or something, but I'm not sure what is needed. When I log in, the Blizzard default bars are gone but there are no Bartender bars and the menu has almost no options. The basic tab has a few options but they seem to have no effect. The options for each individual Bar are blank. I would appreciate anyone pointing me to some documentation or list of required Libs that I missed.

I believe you are experiencing the same thing as I am on the 3.0.2 PTR. Do you get any errors when trying to view options for the individual bars like I did?

Is the wotlk version supposed to work on the 3.0.2 PTR?

The reason I ask is because I get some errors while trying to access options for the different bars.
