    It says you are talking in Vent... What do you mean "what is vent?" You did install the Ventrillo chat client right? No? Well that would be why you can't hear us...

    Funny thing is I can see this happening lol

    as for "You cannot show who's talking in Ventrilo." there is an addon http://wow.curseforge.com/addons/raid-voice/ which does this by having you map the same key for chatting as a trigger for the addon. only problem is that everyone must be running the addon for it to work 100%... I wish there was another way... trying to get the guildies to use is is a pain... they are like how much resources does it use, and how much lag... lol

    Thanks... I was trying to avoid that route but I guess i have no other options. I didn't want to fill up the Addons directory with even more directories...

    well I can give you a hint on why it thinks your screen is a smaller size. From what I have read the game always sees the screen as xxx * 768. it is scaled up to your screen by some ratio and the width is set by your monitor size so mine would be like 1230 * 768 instead if 1920 + 1200. You can see this effect in game if you type /fstack and watch the screen pointer co-ords. you could do the following to get the screen ratio.

    rez = GetScreenResolutions( GetCurrentResolution() )
    _, Yrez = string.split( "x", rez )
    Yrez = tonumber(Yrez)
    ratio = Yrez / 768

    I have my addons set to accept either an alert.mp3 or alert.ogg file as an optional sound to replace the ones I chose when I wrote them. The user just places them in the addon directory and tells the addons to use them. The problem is every time they update the addons the Curse Client deletes the sound files from the directory. I tried putting the files in the "Edit Individual File Exceptions" setting under project management/ client and they still get deleted. Is there some other way to do this or am I doing something wrong?
