I have scorchio on Classic mode atm, as that is all I need and I prefer 1 bar group. It seems every time hot streak is procced, LB disappears... this seems to happen pretty often. Clearcasting and Hot Streak also disappear sometimes. This doesn't have to do with range or anything, I'm not far away from the boss.

    1. This seems to be a problem a few (but certainly not all) people are having.
    2. It's not related to the anchor changes; a few people had it with v1.0.4 too.
    3. It's looking like a LibBars-1.0 issue. I've contacted Antiarch, the author of LibBars-1.0 to see if he can shed any light on it and am waiting for his response.

Is there any way you can release a "Classic" version of the mod (from before the multi-anchor option) since the classic option doesn't seem to be working? I'd just uninstall and install an older version but unfortunately I have no backup. Thanks.

Older versions of all addons are available from curse.com and wowace.com... Technically, nothing has changed in the way bars are calculated or drawn between the previous version (v1.0.4) and the new version (v1.1.0) - the new anchors use existing code although they're killed and (re-)created more frequently than before, they're not done so in a different manner. Still, if v1.0.4 works for you then there's no problem with grabbing it from either of the sites mentioned above and installing it in your AddOns folder. Just make sure you tag the addon in the Curse Client so it doesn't get updated automatically, and then continue to check here/the Curse site to see when further updates come through which may solve you issue; you'll need to install these manually to test them.

Just committed v1.1.0 beta 2, dealing with some issues arising from beta 1.

    27/08/09 1.1.0b2
    - Added presets for anchors; Modern (default, multi-anchors), Classic (for those who want it the old way!) and Custom (for your own settings)
    - Added an alpha setting for all bars, both targeted and non-targeted
    - Fixed bug where buffs cast OOC would appear on the wrong anchor
    - Changed terminology, from "focused" to "targeted" to avoid confusion with UI's use of "focus"
    - Disabled anchor settings in configuration when buff/debuff is not being tracked
    - Reduced the frequency with which we scan Target's auras. This may solve the problem some people are experiencing with disappearing bars, at the expense of some overall accuracy (marginal)

v1.1.0 beta 1 of Scorchio! 2 was just committed.

This brings multiple anchors to Scorchio! 2. For each bar, you can now say to which of three (independently placeable and configurable) anchors it attaches to when it belongs to your current target, and also when it belongs to a mob that isn't your target. There is also a fourth virtual anchor, called "None" - bars attached to this anchor will not be shown.

So, for instance, if you want to show only the bars for your target set them to attach to the "Focused" anchor when they are focused, and the "None" anchor when they are non-focused. Alternatively, set them to attach to the "Non-Focused" anchor and move that to the side of your screen to keep an eye on them but get them out of the way of the main action.

This is a beta feature. Please let me know how it works for you. Thanks!

    26/08/09 1.1.0b1
    - Added two new anchors
    - Added configuration to allow configuration of which bar is attached to which anchor and when
    - Bars can be attached to a virtual "None" anchor too
    - Fixed bug where bar scale configuration was being ignored

Open the Scorchio2.lua file. Search for "nonfocusalpha" and "focusalpha". Change those figures for each type of bar (a..o).

At the moment, it's set up to use alpha to fade a bar from when it's not your focus: "focusalpha" defaults to 1.0 and "nonfocusalpha" defaults to 0.1

For buff bars, where you never lose focus of your own character, "nonfocusalpha" default to 1.0 too.

Hope this makes sense. I'm in the middle of a major rewrite - version 1.5 - which makes major changes to the options and defaults sections, and I'll make the alpha values configurable then.

    A momentous commit:

    23/04/09 1.0
    - Added Torment the Weak indicator. (Bosses / Tanking slows only)
    - "AchievementSound" is now available as a sound option, if you're missing the old Hot Streak proc sound...
    - Corrected typos/language in some messages
    - Removed Debug code
    - Added Paladin Whitelist to allow for accurate recognition of TtW through Judgement of the Just
    - Corrected bug where reentering combat or switching target would create bars for other mages' Living Bomb, or for debuffs you weren't tracking
    - Added (internal) concept of bar groups, to enable different spells to create the same bars
    - Reworked options pages
    - Almost all bars and messages are customisable
    - Bars can be individually set to fade out of combat or not
    - Fixed multiple TtW bars on the same mob
    - Running ScanAuras() more often to tighten timing. (Particularly for DKs Frost Fever which can be a different duration based on talents.)
    - Released version 1.0! Yay!

I've committed another alpha this evening...

Torment the Weak has been an absolutely nightmare! There is, as far as I can see, no way to make it work perfectly in a stylish and elegant manner, for the following reasons:

    1. Only Judgements cast by paladins with the Judgement of the Just talent trigger TtW. There is no way, using the combat log information or UnitDebuff() to tell if a judgement (cast) on a mob is talented or not. There is no debuff for JotJ, not for TtW.

    2. DKs can choose talents to change the duration of Frost Fever. Again, there is no way of telling from the combat log how long the FF should last. UnitDebuff() will tell us though.

In reverse order, I've solved (2) by running AuraScan("target") each time a recognised debuff is thrown on a mob. This should actually tighten the accuracy of all the information on your current target, but I hope it doesn't have a detrimental effect on performance.

In order to come close to solving (1), I've had to introduce a Paladin "Whitelist". In the options for Scorchio! 2, under Torment the Weak, there is now a button for "Add Paladin", where the user has to target a pally known to be talented with JotJ and add them so the addon doesn't ignore their judgements. (This whitelist is remembered, so you only need to add your guild tankadin's once.)

This works, as far as it's been tested so far. If you're grouped with the paladin who cast the judgement, it will even work when you reenter combat/change targets, but if you're not grouped, the UnitDebuff() will not tell you who cast the judgement, so the addon errs on the side of caution and ignores any existing ones on the mob.

It's imperfect and annoying. Blizzard should just add a TtW debuff and be done with it!

Please test the alpha and let me know if it works as you expect...

Oh, this commit should also fix the "TtW bars hanging around" issue once and for all - by changing to timed bars, the same code is now used as has been working flawlessly for every other type of buff, so fingers crossed!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still working on the TtW stuff, hence those releases only being alpha and not on Curse yet. Not only are the bars being hoary, but TtW tracking is complicated by the fact that a talented paladin judgment doesn't look any different to an untalented one in terms of the combat log or the debuff applied to the boss. I'm still developing a solution for that which I hope to commit later today with, also hopefully, a working fix for the bars!

Well, having said "No Way" for so long, I've finally got around to adding Hot Streak tracking in Scorchio! 2..!!

0.9b6 committed today, with Hot Streak Tracking!

I now intend to set about tracking other things that would be useful to mages - Clearcasting, Burnout, etc... Let me know else you'd like to see tracked.

An issue, when you go out of combat, bars dissapears.

This is not a bug, it's a feature. The bars are not shown when you're out of combat, but if you enter combat, the bars for your target will (re-)appear. Bars for other mobs around you will not reappear until you target that mob.

    Quote from hpm
Also, is there any way to disable the spell icon or to change the text colour of the bars?
Would be nice to add the spacing between bars too.

At the moment there is no way of doing either of these, but I may add it the functionality to a later version.

0.9b3 released today has the option to customise the bar text, using simple token replacements - $s will be replaced by the stack size, and $m will be replaced by the mob name. Anything else will remain as is.

There's a few other things I want to do before I call it a full release, which will include the numbered icons from Scorchio! but hopefully being able to play with the bar text should help in the time being.

Sometimes the mob name is so big that the scorch stack ends up getting cut off at the end of the bar. Can you add an option to have the stack count show before the mob name?

I will be reinstating the original Scorchio! numbered icons soon, which will make the numbers very clear, but I am also thinking about ways of making the bar text configurable, within reason. Watch this space.
