    To everyone experiencing the not being allowed to zoom out bug. All I did to "fix" my problem was to hit the cartographer button on the map, go to look 'n' feel, then uncheck the lock option. The map stop becoming transparent to clicks and you are allowed to zoom in and zoom out. Hope this helps.

    When you use "Alternate-Map" Option it works again, too. (I bound a key to the Alternate-Map option in Keybindings and ... it works) So i think the "problem" was that somehow the map gets switched to Alternate-Map mode ..... as simple as that ;-)

    Sometimes when I update cartographer using wowaceupdater, it stops letting me zoom out with right-click.

    I have to delete all and start again.

    Frustrating to say the least.

    Is it as if you can "click through" the map and you move your camera instead ?
    I have this too, but only on one PC, on another with the same files it is not. So it has to be something other, like related with another addon.

    Hello,

    everything is working fine now for me, it updates very reliably. Great !! Its the solution i was looking for for years ...

    Now i have wish: is there a chance of getting recursive dependencies under the dependencies and optional dependencies at the right frame ?
    Priceless would be: "required recursive dependency" and "optional recursive dependency" depending wether the actuall addon is optional or required by another.
    To be even bolder: if you would put another column in, where you could see the number of addons, that require the actual addon, you could see which addons are not used (and delete them)

    I know its a big wish, but this would help me even more.

    Thank you

    I need to put development quality stuff up on the SVN from time to time to get feedback and bug reports, I am not able to find bugs myself without any help.
    ...
    It might be hard for some to understand what and why I am doing these things, especially when it's stuff under the hood. But in the end it's for creating a better addon.

    as others said thank you for your work.
    and there could be not more warning to have a backup (of your addons AND your SV). So everyone should have been able to roll back with Revision and SV. And people that are not able to do that, are probably at the wrong place. On the other hand its probably your fault (and that of the other great ACE-guys) for spoiling us with high quality stuff.

    Thanks again and keep it up.

    I'm dont use the uploader/downloader. I just go to his website and manually download the database updates. I don't particularly care for .exe files from non-trusted sources.

    neither do i. but dont you get alot of dupes that way ? because your personal sv isnt deleted (and not used, i think) but you allways add new data ?

    btw. i e-mailed teh author and he seems quite reasonable.

    where? or are u talking that he's uploaded it to SVN and we are getting the updates passively though useing WAU to update the addon?

    no no SVN. sid's message from the 14th: look here has a file attached. It is not final though ... but we are expecting a new one soon *winks at sid*

    is there a final File that we should be looking for ?

    or are we just gathering info atm?

    yes and yes ;-) Sid already uploaded the stuff he got until that point, but he is ofcourse dependent on how much you send

    ok so i can use a 'orrible macro for it.
    can it be implimented?

    sure you can use the macro, why not ?

    and what do you mean with implemented ? its all there ... if you want something different then the macro use spellbinder.

    but i think nonetheless that there is a similar thing discussed in the note-thread, so discussion and further questions should go there, IMHO.

    Forget Metamap and WoWKB. There is a new dog on the block and he makes all the other dogs look like puppies. Check out this addon:
    http://ui.worldofwar.net/ui.php?id=4137
    ...

    yes, its cool, thanks for the tip, but: I dont like the way it works with "my" data: while you collect data everything is fine:
    mobmap_positions = {
    	["Prate Cloudseer"] = {
    		["min"] = 37,
    		["Thousand Needles"] = {
    			["54/43"] = 1,
    		},
    		["max"] = 37,
    	},
    	["Montarr"] = {
    		["min"] = 36,
    		["Thousand Needles"] = {
    			["45/51"] = 1,
    		},
    		["max"] = 36,
    	},
    ...

    but when you get it back, you have something (base64 encoded ???) what you cannot read.

    and of course there is this up-/downloaderloader issue, what makes me a bit nervous about this really really cool addon.

    @sid

    just curious: are you combining them with a texteditor ? or is there some sort of "reader" or parser, to extract the data into something human-readable ?

    It makes sense to keep them as separate downloads because there's no need to use up a bunch of memory if you don't plan on playing the other faction...

    hmmm, well i do play both sides. I sure can merge those things together somehow, i think. But if you are thinking in that direction, why dont you do the actual Data as "sub-"Moduls, that you could disable charspecific (e.g. with ACP) ?
    (I am thinking of Cartographer/Miner & Cartographer/Herbalism)

    I am just talking wise here, since i dont know much work this would mean. But it would serve both our needs.
