    no, you were pushing instead of understanding your options and prior discussions.

    I just re-read my initial post and I did emphasize how frustrating it is, but I don't think I was awfully rude/pushing.

    Anyway if it came off in a wrong way, I apologize, carry on :)

    Ah ok, I misunderstood then. I thought you had icons assigned to specific people. Given that someone in the chain can die your way makes a lot more sense. People just know who they are following and you can swap in to replace a dead noob.

    Well I have built in macros dropping into a category now. Next up I need to make them show up on a button & its popups. After that customMacro needs an add button in the item list + support all over & editing of the macro part.

    Ah very nice. I already wrote a small mod to do it :P

    You know I like this idea. Our raid could use a drum rotation. Whats the /in thing do? delayed chat?

    /in basically delays whatever is on that line by the amount of seconds (for example: /in 28 /p This is 28 seconds later)

    So one way it could be done is for AutoBar to have a symbol sequence you can set (maybe forcing skull then X to be the first 2 ;-p). The ButtonDrumSequence would then generate all the necessary combinations needed up to 4 people. so 1-2-1-... 1-2-3-1-2-3... and 1-2-3-4-1-2... with the 2 symbols showing up in the icon I suppose, or since the macros text shows up you can just read it from tooltip and select the correct one ahead of time. What happens if someone in sequence dies tho?

    That sounds pretty cool, though we have a pretty easy system setup which requires a bit less effort:

    We just use {Star} as the icon for drums used, and {Skull} to indicate that it is expiring, this way it's visible during "furious combat" *cough* :P

    No need for a dynamic system that changes icons really unless you're so inclined :P

    Rather than asking for a bunch of code to be added for your special wants, why don't you just not download all the "updates"? Read the changelogs before you download an update; 90% of all the "updates" you download are localization changes or embedded library updates, and are not in any way necessary for you to use the addon.

    Because I don't think it's "special wants" as you put it. I'm by far not the only one who has this issue (I've personally had to tell about 3 people how to comment out those lines after I heard them complain about it) and I've seen quiet a few people on this very thread ask for it.

    Now from a usability perspective, do you "really" want to advocate that every single mod user out there should spend 20 minutes every time they update their mods (which could be several times a day), to go through the changelogs, check the mod specific forums and evaluate whether they need the update or not? When exactly do they get time to play the "game" then?

    I always thought wowace as a community would rather operate on good faith and the promise of constant improvements through updates, than ask people to selectively choose their updates. You know WAU and all that.

    Anyway, I understand coders have the freedom to decide what they want to do and what they won't, it's their mods, but I personally don't see the harm in adding minimal extra code to save the values of those variables, rather than have them hardcoded.

    It makes both sense in logic and usability.

    Makes sense to you?

    RBM has an announce built in for drums. I'm sure someone can cook up a small addon that will do this independent of how you clicked the drum (since you can have the announce trigger off the combat log).

    By all means, if someone can, please do.

    Edit: Actually this looks pretty easy, I think I might do so myself, thanks. ( /end derail)

    I know this was requested before and shot down, however it's getting to a point where it's becoming very frustrating.

    Is it possible to make the following lines in Design.lua toggle able:

    -- Names above character's heads, free floating text (normally FRIZQT_.ttf)
    -- UNIT_NAME_FONT = NORMAL_TEXT_FONT

    -- Names above character's head, in nameplates (normally FRIZQT_.ttf)
    -- NAMEPLATE_FONT = NORMAL_TEXT_FONT

    -- Damage pop-up over targets , *not* SCT/SDT (normally FRIZQT_.ttf)
    -- DAMAGE_TEXT_FONT = NORMAL_TEXT_FONT

    -- Chat bubbles (normally FRIZQT_.ttf)
    -- STANDARD_TEXT_FONT = NORMAL_TEXT_FONT

    I personally DO NOT want Clearfont to handle UNIT_NAME_FONT, NAMEPLATE_FONT, DAMAGE_TEXT_FONT, STANDARD_TEXT_FONT.

    Having to comment those lines out every time an update is done to Clearfont (which can happen multiple times a day/week due to things like localization) is very painful.

    I was a happy Clearfont user before handling of these fonts was included and I understand that some people like them, but please, for the sake of sanity, add an ingame toggle to enable/disable handling them (or alternatively to choose what font is used to handle them, so we can choose to set it back to the default FRIZQT_.ttf) which gets saved in the WTF .lua.

    Thank you.

    Hey Toadkiller. I know you said support for adding macro buttons to Autobar is still somewhat in the future, however I'm wondering if an intermediate solution can be added for Drums (of course depending on how far fully fledged macro support is off).

    Specifically I'm talking about "Drums of Battle" (+80 haste rating on use), which most endgame guilds are using in party rotations to keep up a constant buff (4x people with drums can keep up the buff permanently).

    It's pretty vital for some form of party announce to be macro'd for this in order to have a functioning rotation, currently my guild uses something along the lines of:

    /use Drums of Battle
    /p {star} DRUMS USED {star}
    /p {star} DRUMS USED {star}
    /in 28 /p {skull} NEXT PERSON GET READY in 2 {skull}
    /in 28 /p {skull} NEXT PERSON GET READY in 2 {skull}

    If you can add a toggle able option to announce this (or similar) party macro when drums are used, Autobar would be a lot more effective for a lot of its users.

    As it stands atm, Autobar is pretty much worthless to us for using Drums, since using Drums of Battle without announcing to keep the rotation going pretty much defeats its original purpose.

    Currently there's only 3 main reasons to use Autobar in combat: Potion CD, Rune CD and Drum CD. By not being able to use it for drums effectively, Autobar really loses a big part of its purpose.

    Thanks.

    Any chance recording for PvP raids will be disabled soon?

    Atm, every time I enter an arena or battleground an entry is created.

    This leads to a mass page of spam which I have to work through later on.

    Thanks

    Is there any way to make the buff check into a fubar link and/or slash command to add to a macro?

    I've pretty much stopped using all functions of XRS and only keep it around for the super buff checks in raids, however clicking on that arrow icon -> Submenu -> Check buffs is a drag, I prefer a 1 press macro (slash command) or fubar plugin.

    Thoughts?

    More than anything, the best thing about this mod is every time I see "Complaint Registered (ASFIOfoiwqenfoaw)" I can grin happily at the bastards knocking their heads against a wall.

    Good job ;)

    Just a quick clarification since I couldn't find it: Does this monitor "all" channels or just whispers?

    As in general, trade too?

    Also please add:

    <> <== they use commas

    Thanks
