    You don't want to know how hard I'm laughing about the complaint that tekKompare hasn't been updated since June 2007. Guess what EQCompare hasn't gotten an update other than translations and toc bumps for a year. It has lots of bad code that has not been updated for WoW 2.x and I'm not talking about minor little 'oh if I was to write this I would do it this way' stuff but serious 'needs to be rewritten for WoW 2.x because its incompatible' code. I put the toc interface number below 20000 so it wouldn't show up on the files.wowace.com listing anymore so new people won't install it. If you seriously want to keep using EQCompare then go ahead and edit the toc yourself, its not like you'll have to do it more than once since this addon is dead.

    And heres a link to another place to get tekKompare http://code.google.com/p/tekkub-wow/downloads/list but its still only from June 2007.

    EDIT: I wanted to svn delete this (after tagging ofc) but I'd probably get even more shit for that....

    I ment for addons that let other people whisper you to query an addon for info and get a whisper back from you with it or addons that send whispers to other people but have the option of hiding it from you. Not for addon to addon comm. Basically something like a function to use instead of SendChatMessage that if a certain argument is set it would do everything needed to hide a whisper sent by you and send that whisper and would also help addons to hide incoming whispers intended for them if the user wants.

    Now that I think about it more this is probably something that should be its own separate library.

    Hmm returning callbacks could make this very easy. A library that registers for the CHAT_MSG_WHISPER event and when it gets one it sends the args to any callbacks registered to it by other addons, the addons check the contents of the whisper and their own settings to find out if it should try to hide it or not and then do a return true/false or something else to tell the library if it should hide the whisper or not.

    Sounds like maybe I've got something to do now even though I have no use for this at all.

    Speaking of things that should go into a library, one thing that although not many mods do it but most that do end up with rather ugly code for it, sending whispers while hiding it from the user and hiding received whispers. This seems like something that due to every mod doing it needing to preform many hooks and some possible forgetting to do certain things (like making sure the sent whisper isn't available by alt-up and the recipient isn't shown with the retell hotkey, or a received whisper hidden from the user doesn't have the person that sent it available with the reply hotkey) could be a great help by being part of one of the ace3 libs or even a separate lib.

    I managed to fix this issue by reconverting the info from the MPQs into new data for Cart based on the latest game data files but the script I used seems to be outdated and not everything looks the same even though the maps are all visible. So yes this issue is known and a solution has been found but getting the solution to work properly may take a bit longer.

    That was actually Arrowmaster who was working on that. I can't think of why it would do that off the top of my head, but I'll do some peeking around to see if I can't figure it out.


    Yeah I found out why it was doing that. Blame the retarded CTRT import plugin for eqDKP that completely ignores the PlayerInfos section of the XML but instead wants all that info in the Join section.

    I'm perty sure I fixed that a few weeks ago. The DKPmon-xml is almost completely useless because somebody said they were going to write an eqDKP plugin to import it but never did afaik.

    Kelem, the error you posted should be fixed now. I made some changes to the CTRT xml output to try and get those on standby to be added in eqDKP but ran into issues with it detecting too many people now vs previously detecting too few. If you start a new log each time you award dkp it should work fine. I have an idea of how to fix it and it would change the CTRT xml to give you a different xml for each time you award points while logging and each xml would need to be imported into eqDKP but atleast it would be more accurate.

    Worked perfectly fine for me lastnight in SSC but I wish it hadn't. Only pull that I fished on was the last pull and I ended up with my right click bound to fish for the entire attempt due to the combat lockdown. Should probably reset the binding on PLAYER_REGEN_DISABLED.

    Sort of a request from my guild that I'm not quite sure the best way to do. We want to use FCZS but with an open bidding system instead of a closed system so that people can see who's bidding on what and decide if they want to maybe pass instead so somebody else gets it. I've been looking at the FCZS and BossAuction modules and I'm still trying to make sense of a lot of the info involving the dkpinfo table and where/how data gets added to it. I was thinking maybe this feature could be added to the already existing FCZS module with an option in DKPmon for the person doing the dkp if the bid information was private or public.
