I think there is a problem with the "auto untrack" feature. It does not seem to work as I expected. I have setup tomQuest to auto track on objective progress and auto untrack inactive quests after 5 minutes.

When I kill a quest mob the quest turns up in the tracker correctly. Then I wait 5 minutes but the quest does not disappear. Shouldn't it untrack the quest after the delay has passed?

Yes, I just tested it again with r31 and still get the same error when clicking on the "Calendar" menu item in Altoholic. It also seems to happen at certain time intervals even if I don't open Altoholic. Here's the error again:

     [2009/06/23 11:49:42-1408-x1]: Altoholic-v3.1.004\Frames\Calendar.lua:615: attempt to concatenate field '?' (a nil value)

    Altoholic-v3.1.004\Frames\TabSummary.lua:96: in function `MenuItem_OnClick'
    <string>:"*:OnClick":1: in function <[string "*:OnClick"]:1>

I'm still having problems with this bug. It seems to screw up the calendar function in Altoholic.

(edited because I misread the code at first...)

The error occurs on line 615 so I guess 'inviteStatus' is nil for some reason for me:

            desc = format("%s: %s", STATUS, WHITE..StatusText[tonumber(inviteStatus)])

posted a message on Inquest - Quest log and tracker addon
First of all, thanks for a great addon! I've been using it for a while now and it suits me perfectly. However, there is a small bug that would be nice to correct.

I have enabled the Blizzard option "Automatic quest progress updates" and also "Automatic quest tracking" in Inquest. It works great, the quests appear when I start working on them and disappear after 5 mins if I don't make any progress. This is the way I want it.

Now if I logout and then login again, the previously watched quests are still in the tracker. This is ok. However, now they won't automatically disappear as before. They stay forever and I need to manually remove them or turn them in to get rid of them.

The best would of course be if it was possible to logout and then login again and the last progress time elapsed for each quest was remembered. If this is impossible to fix, it would be ok if the quest tracker is cleared upon login.

(I saw someone posted at Curse about this too, but I couldn't post a comment there.)

    Great, thanks!

I guess the real culprit here is the Azeroth Advisor addon that scans everything on logout/exit. It scans tradeskills by doing CastSpellByName() on all 13 tradeskills! So that is why your hook is triggered...

I'm afraid that the error I reported about earlier is still present in the latest version of Altoholic. It seems that it does not always happen, so I guess it is a matter of how much time it takes for certain events to happen during logout/exiting of the game.

    Description of the problem:

    Quote from PontusM
I have a small conflict with Altoholic and the profiler addon for Azeroth Advisor. When I logout/exit the game the profiler addon scans the current skills. This triggers Altoholics own tradeskill scan as well (not sure why though).

However, during logout time GetTradeSkillInfo() returns nil which causes an error in your scan routine.

How about changing my previously suggested fix to not set the bScanFailed flag and simply break the loop? I have patched my Skills.lua file at line 505 to include the following:

            if not skillName then
                break
            end

Without analyzing your code that much, I believe this wouldn't cause any harm? At least it solves the bug for me...

I'm having a problem with the new calendar function. When I try to view it I get the following error:

    [2009/06/17 20:45:00-1373-x888]: Altoholic-v3.1.003b\Frames\Calendar.lua:566: attempt to concatenate field '?' (a nil value)

    Altoholic-v3.1.003b\Altoholic.lua:273: in function <Interface\AddOns\Altoholic\Altoholic.lua:273>

I admit I haven't cleaned my saved variables but I'd rather not do that if possible (I hate to lose all character data).

Another thing you can try is to move the Altoholic:UnregisterEvent("TRADE_SKILL_SHOW") line into the function Altoholic:PLAYER_LOGOUT(), around line 2250, it may be called a bit sooner than disable()

I tried to move it to the logout event and it worked perfectly! I tested it both when logging out and when exiting and it solves the bug nicely.

Maybe you can put this in the next release. Thanks! :)

Sorry, I should've tested it a bit harder before I posted. It did not work properly. :(

I get the error when exiting WoW. This is what I get in Buggrabber (even with your proposed fix applied):

I'm sorry about the formatting. I had to copy this straight from Buggrabber's saved variables since the error log is cleared when I exit.

The MM_CharacterProfile stuff is the Azeroth Advisor.

Hi Thaoky and thanks for your wonderful addon!

I have fixed it in file Skills.lua line 505 by adding the following test code to ensure that the scan is aborted if no skill name is returned:

    if not skillName then
    bScanFailed = true
    break
    end

Maybe you can add this in next version. Thanks! :)

you could put it next to the list -- like to the right or left.

or you could provide an anchor to let the user move it where they wish, but then you're also getting into a whole config thing.

Choosing between left or right of the list works just fine for me. Putting it on top of the list could also be an option for those who like it the way it is.

I can post a ticket for it if you want, but where do you want the ticket? Seems like every author has his own preference of ticket system...
