    posted a message on WoW UI Updater 1.9 Thread (Windows/OSX/Linux, multiple sites)
    There has been an issue recently with LibPeriodicTable, that causes the following entry in the error log page:
    2009-05-16 07:44:18: (ERROR) Installation of LibPeriodicTable-3.1 failed: 'LibPeriodicTable-3.1/LibPeriodicTable-3.1-InstanceLoot/LibPeriodicTable-3.1-InstanceLoot.toc'
    2009-05-16 07:44:18: (WARN) No TOC file for LibPeriodicTable-3.1
    I'm not sure why WUU is delving that deeply into the archive when there's a TOC file at the root...but the file exists despite the error message.

    posted a message on LibFilter-1.0 - Generic Item Filter Library
    Will LibFilter be updated for the new Equipment Manager coming in 3.1?

    I have Baggins set up to categorize items that belong in any of my Outfitter sets separately from items that do not. This is very helpful to me to distinguish stuff I'm keeping from stuff I'm going to disenchant or vendor. Since Outfitter is being abandoned, will LibFilter be adapted to perform the same function with equipment sets that are defined in the new Equipment Manager currently on PTR?

    Why are most of the prices shown as "--?" When I first open the Skillet window, every item has a value of "--?" but then I mouse over an item, close and reopen the Skillet window, and then it shows sensible prices (1.48a, 1.00v, etc) for about a pageful of recipes and "--?" for the rest.

    I have the latest Auctioneer Advanced Suite installed (5.1.3897) and have run a fair number of complete scans and partial scans; when I mouse over the items created, the Auc tooltip shows a fair amount of data to base pricing estimates upon. I have installed your fork of Skillet r156 and LSW v0.80b.

    My first thought was that maybe the items that stay stuck at "--?" are those that have less scan data, but if that's the case it apparently isn't based on some threshold value of how many times the item has been seen in scans.

    I know that MobInfo2 does have that feature http://wowui.worldofwar.net/?p=mod&m=1143 but it's not a lightweight addon.

    As with clicking on the close button, Esc has to be hit twice to actually close the window.

    These errors were not with my enchanter, though I think the second one I quoted was with my scribe (Minor research seems to mess things up particularly.)

    Yeah, the first one pretty much happens whenever I try to close the Skillet window (which generally requires more than one click on the close button). The other one, I don't remember--I can try different things to try to repeat it if you think that would be helpful.

    I love love love LSW and I love what I've seen of your branch of Skillet; unfortunately, it's not yet sufficiently stable for me to use (even r150+r44). Skillet often freezes up and gives errors like the following:

    Is there any way to reset Skillet short of /reloadui?

    posted a message on PeriodicTable-3.1
    At first, I thought this was a problem with LilSparky's Workshop (http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=9379.80), but apparently it derives from an error in the PeriodicTable database. Ghost Dye is listed as a vendor-buyable reagent (like Salt or Rune Thread) with a cost of zero, but is actually an Alchemist-made item that's pretty expensive. This throws off LSW's calculation for things like Ghostweave Pants, indicating that they're profitable to make when they are far from it.

    When I mouse over the name Ghostweave Pants on the left-hand column, it lists
    4 x Ghost Dye (buyable)

    and when I mouse over the item cost, the tooltip lists
    Ghost Dye x 4 0v

    so I guess I need to look into where to report Periodic Table errors.

    Thanks for the quick response!

    I love LSW, but it seems to think that Ghost Dye is just another of the many dyes buyable from NPCs (at a cost of zero, apparently), when actually it is a rather expensive product made by Alchemists: http://www.wowwiki.com/Ghost_Dye

    As a result, it thinks that Ghostweave Pants are profitable. They're not, even though I have an Alchemist who can make Ghost Dye and thus don't have to pay someone else's overhead. Is this an error in LSW itself, or in the libraries it uses?

    Thanks for making a great mod!

    e.g. like this:

    -- encode
    c = LibStub:GetLibrary("LibCompress")
    chat_data = c:Encode(c:Compress(raw_data))

    -- decode
    raw_data = c:Decode(c:Decompress(chat_data))

    You meant this, right?

    c = LibStub:GetLibrary("LibCompress")
    chat_data = c:Encode(c:Compress(raw_data))

    -- decode
    raw_data = c:Decompress(c:Decode(chat_data))
