    Well, the time has come, the branch is now on the trunk and gettable via WAU etc.

    I would like to thank the brave branch users for testing that stuff (you can return to the trunk now, I will not be adding stuff to the branch for a while) and apologize in advance to Sorata if he furiously returns hating the changes. Now let the error report flooding of a wider audience begin...

    New features besides the mentioned ones from the last pages are:
    - If a button has only one popbutton, it will not pop up in daily use (I use this for "Special Buttons" I do not like in an action bar)

    - Durations module
    Shows for a selected (read: hardcoded) list of buffs on self their duration (and count)
    This one is still in some kind of experimental stage, but I am keen to hear feedback.

    posted a message on Bartender4 - Official Topic
    Since Bartender uses the Blizzard Action Button code, shift-click is unlocking the button again (PickupSpell etc.).
    I know this is normal behaviour, but since I think that is annoying as ...quite much, I wonder if it is possible or under consideration to be able to overrule this behaviour.
    Or am I missing something obvious?

    posted a message on Pitbull 2.0 - hiding party frames in a BG
    From a short look at the code (which I do not have the time to try out really) it seems like it takes the bg option in the raid frame for party (just opposite).
    If you switch on the raid module, *enable* the bgs, then disable the raid module again (assuming the other posters do not use it), does it work in this case?

    Alternatively you can try to comment out lines 1505-1507:
    Change
    if isInNonRaidBG() then
      return true
    end

    to:

    --if isInNonRaidBG() then
    --  return true
    --end

    (in the function ShouldShowParty).

    Please report back if that works, in which case I would do an option or sth. for that.

    Good guess, although it is already fixed on the branch like mentioned before ;)

    The branch will soon be available for the public, I just wanted to wait a little for different reasons but well, I guess it does not make much sense to wait until wotlk does it ;)

    Hm, rechecked - works in my config.
    I did not go through every possibility though due to limited time.

    Quick example how it should look like in your WTF Poppins.lua:

    			["groups"] = {
    				["PalaBar"] = {
    					["popscale"] = 0.699999988079071,
    					["gloss"] = 0,
    					["scale"] = 0.800000011920929,
    					["colors"] = {
    						["Backdrop"] = {
    							1, -- [1]
    							1, -- [2]
    							1, -- [3]
    							1, -- [4]
    						},
    						["Normal"] = {
    							0, -- [1]
    							0, -- [2]
    							0, -- [3]
    							1, -- [4]
    						},
    					},
    					["skin"] = "Onyx Redux",
    ...

    This is the setting for my test group Palabar.
    If you changed something from default colors for Poppins it *should* be in such a "colors" table. Is it there?

    I would not think resetting should be necessary. Are your buttons in a group?
    Another thing worth mentioning is that Poppins does not use every layer yet - could have some visual effects maybe.

    @NoStress
    I see this from time to time, but for me it is not permanent.
    (After login it is always fine here)
    I am not sure what action(s) lead to this - do you have any reproducable way for this?

    Hm, will have a look into that. I see the possibility of an issue with items that get consumed/disappear.

    For the moment, you might want to kill Poppins.lua in your WTF Savedvariables to get Poppins to work again.

    Hm, running jWowUpdater disembended and it just puts TalentGuess it into Proximo/libs, working fine that way.
    I guess there is some problem with your configuration of the updater.

    posted a message on AutoBar by Toadkiller (official thread)
    Now, this is an interesting read since I am thinking about converting spells to macros on an addon I am working on (for targeting reasons). I just wanted to throw in, just if you are not aware of it: Sorata has converted some code of Infinibar into a lib called LibMacroParser, which lives inside Poppins now. I do not know if it is exactly what is needed by you, fully working, good or evil - I just thought it might be worth a mentioning.

    I have had the suspicion the highest level options like "lock" etc. would not behave probably disturbing the layout and I would have to add them into a (sub)group - however, that is a minor thing to get right.
    BetterBlizzOptions is a point, maybe I just give it a try, my main concern was the non-movability of the blizz options.

    Actually I had my reasons for the button:
    a) Otherwise I would have to change the config tables again, but I actually like how they are now
    but mostly
    b) It seemed kinda stupid to create a new button directly below a non-movable config screen

    However, I will just let it be for now until I got one of those great idea thingies.

    I am thinking about adding it to the Blizz Addon options, but probably like Cappings just with a launcher to get into the Ace3 Menu. Might be nice for new users. Although there is a hack to get Ace3 addons into FuBar i do not plan on doing so, if someone has the urgent need he is free to do so by writing a Fu_Poppins.lua. The reason behind this is, there has been a discussion about FuBar and I agreed to the argument that Fubar is good for having quick access to stuff you need often (for example in my case ClosetGnome, CharmsFu or (unfortunately ;) BugSack) or for information display, but I also agree in not liking the Fubar implementations that give nothing more than a quick launch button to the options menu very much - it probably would be like that with Poppins.

    That said, I am planning to wait for reports on how the branch performs before I add new stuff, if there are errors left etc.
    If I do not hear anything, well it has been a while so I guess I will take a deep breath, tag the current trunk and merge the branch. Fortunately there is a revert button if Sorata does not like those implementations. The time for that seems probably right, since the next features I am thinking about implementing would be addon wide or module related (for example finally focussing on fixing the totem cooldown, bringing the totem module to some Numen-like level - Totems at last are mostly what I use Poppins for...) I would love to have done this recent stuff in modules, but it would have been serious extra work the way the "per button" and "per group" settings work (there would have been quite some serious hooking, which would have needlessly complicated stuff quite a lot for my knowledge).

    posted a message on ButtonFacade (was LibButtonSkin-1.0)
    Well, for full detail discussion it has been mentioned several times on the pages before ;)

    The thing is:
    Anything above the basic level are just sort of multi-menus, not "actual" settings.
    It is just a menu changing all the settings below. They are neither saved nor are they loaded or remembered - at least most addons use it that way.

    Other than that, for saving of settings between sessions the addons that use BF, not BF itself, are responsible.

    That is how I read it.
