For some reason when ever I log in with in moments bugsack catchs

Beautiful UI, curious though, what are the buff/debuff icons under your unitframes, or rather, which mods were used to accomplish this? I'm very curious cause I'd like to setup something similar on my mage ui.
I just started using Pitbull 3 and 4 trying out the functionality and customization of both.
I really liked the simple yet robust nature of 4.0, however there were a few features that i think would go great and I'm not sure if they exist in 4.0 or 3.0 for that matter?
1- Ability to hide "Player" or any other bar while out of combat <- would be great to clear up screen while crafting etc.
2- Customizable locations of bars for solo, party and raid. <- I tend to change my ui a bit when farming, raiding, etc.
let me know if these are features already in Pitbull as i would love to set them up.
Thanks and great Mod.

I just use Fortress. I simply group the blocks I want together as a bar then use kgPanels to create a panel that serves as a "bar background". This works quite nicely. Then again, I don't use any default Blizzard frames so I don't have any frames (such as the MiniMap) that needs to be "pushed down" (my MiniMap lives in the bottom right of my screen).
While I concur that the search is not great, are you sure you selected "show results as posts" instead of "show results as threads"? It shouldn't just give you a link to the thread if you've specified to search for posts... Also, did you try the "search this thread" link while viewing the kgPanels thread?
Yes I did, what I get is the entire damn thread with the search highlighting my search terms in red. While the highlighting is nice, I get still get 75 pages worth of "crap" (in the sense of my search) to find the one bit I need (which is to color certain panels using the players class color. However at this point, I think I will just stick to picking one color and using it until I find the script I need. I am sorting through my search results as I post.
Edit: found the view as Threads/Posts radio buttons, not real obvious. In reality that should be next to or near the search box, preferably on the simple search. One should not have to go into Advance to dig up that option.
OK, I have to say this, the forum search on WoWAce stinks. I am trying find the scripts I need for coloring (by Class) kgPanels backgrounds. So I go into advanced search, entering my search terms and where to look (the kgPanels thread naturally.
What do I get? A link to the bloody kgPanels thread, 75 pages that I have to use the ol' Mark 1 Eyeball search. The same thread that I would have found on my my own. If I had done the same search on the old WoWAce SMF search, the search would have come up with the revalant threads and any WoWAce Wiki entries. I don't want the damn thread, I want the relavent posts in that thread. 742 posts in one thread is a lot dig through by hand. As a result the search function on this site is pretty useless unless you simply want to get point to a thread and not the post buried in said thread that you need.
I don't know if there is a better search plug-in for vBullentin, however if there is, then I would recommend looking for it.
It's just horses for courses really, some people care if frames aren't all perfectly aligned, some don't.
The wife gives me the strangest of looks whenever I update the UI on her machine and sit there shuffling frames around pixel by pixel. :x
Ah so I am not the only sitting there grumbling because an frame/UI element is off by one pixel! I like to have things aligned just right. Then again since I do some graphic design work, if there is a stray pixel or something is not aligned correctly, I will notice it and it will annoy me. Its one of those little annoyances that then morph into a big annoyance. Kind of like that grain of sand in you shoe thats ends up feeling as though you have a friggen boulder in there.
BT4 (and maybe Dominos too...) is using the standard Blizzard buttons. You can't delete them I'm sure...
Yes, Dominos reuses the default Blizzard buttons. I believe Tuller did this for a few reasons:
- Saves on code (why reinvent the wheel?)
- Less likely to break in the feature
- Overall a simpler mod to update. Less need to update, more time to play!
If you want a virtual buttons type of mod, look at Macaroon. Its a different concept in an Action Bar mod.
Sometimes HUGE RED TEXT is what is needed makes things perfectly clear to some people. Most people can read but some need the forum equivalent of the 2x4 to the head to drive the point home. That post should be in a sticky somewhere.
Time to find a new one. WoWAceUpdater and the old files.wowace.com are dead. There are several posts listing why WAU has died. They are stickied and you should read them.
you are right in all things :(, but I'm a little bit frustrated.
Many Addons don't work, but they should. I have deleted all Addons before using the CurseClient. And many Addons have errors. And it's not the patch, they don't work since I use the Curse client. (since a few month)
Have you tried a fresh install of your AddOns after the patch hit?
Uninstall the Curse Client then delete the Curse folder in your Program Files folder. Then download and install the latest build. Rename your AddOns folder (something like AddOns.Archive works). Then create a new AddOns folder. Now run the freshly installed Curse Client. Download/install a few AddOns that you use (only a few, we want to make sure that one AddOn is not affecting others), start up WoW and see. You may want to start with fresh settings as well. To do this rename your WTF folder to something like WTF.Archive. WoW will generate a brand new WTF folder upon your next log-in. If you don't have any errors, then download a few more. Take baby steps until you get all the AddOns you use, just a few at a time and test. If you run into errors, post them in the correct forum/thread so those AddOns' authors can hunt down and fix the errors.
Sorry to make you angry
I am not angry. If I was, my post would be much harsher in its language.

Hmm, I wonder if there is a Google custom search plug-in for vBullentin? I will have to do some research.

Yah, I found that, however I was unable to get it working. /sigh. I have given up for now and I will attack this some other time.

To updated your AddOns, get the new Curse Client.
