    Minor request:

Would it be reasonable to exclude instances when doing z-Xxx searches? I can't think of why I would search for a waypoint in an instance from outside. Obviously, doesn't mean there isn't a reason, just that I can't seem to think of one. :)

For example, I made a note at the flight path in Hellfire Penninsula, and I like to fly straight there from Shattrath. So, I use /way z-hell flight, but that tells me there's nothing in Hellfire Ramparts, which is true. I either end up flying there "by hand", or typing out z-"Hellfire P" (quotes are working great now btw, thanks :).

I cannot seem to use the z-xxx (operator?) properly. If I try to hit a waypoint in shadowmoon valley (from shattrath), and type something like:

    /way z-shadow xxx

I get unknown zone shadow (paraphrased debug text in DEFAULTCHAT). I've tried z-shadowmoon, and z-"shadowmoon valley". All came back with the same error. Could we get whatever pattern matching we had before back, please?

    Thanks.

Since a rewrite was mentioned .. I was wondering .. (no, don't run away!) ;-)

Would it be within scope of this mod to also convert AGI to a crit % (see http://forums.elitistjerks.com/viewtopic.php?id=9907 for AGI to crit%, at 70 - yeah, I am just asking for lvl 70, I don't want to imagine the math for each level 61-70)?

Another possible feature would be to see a total at the bottom of an item's tooltip (AP, Crit%, etc). This would simplify comparing items, and hook in nicely with EQ[uip]Compare.

If it's outside what you see for this mod .. cool, I've been debating on writing something like this, just not 100% comfortable with gratuity (yet). :)

Just a thought, levelling up in BC, wondering what exactly the gains/losses were of an item I was examining. Looking at one/another item is fine, but comparing AP & AGI & trying to remember how much crit per point of AGI (hunter in my case), and then looking over int & trying to recall how much mana it gives (15 per?), then omparing a gain of 300 mana, vs a loss of 25 AP, ... well, hopefully you can see the benefits of this being automated. :)

Basically, take the stats of your char without the slot you're looking at (one weap, or ring at a time I guess in those cases), then, take the current item worn in that slot, and see what you gained from that item. Then, take the item you're comparing, and see what is gained from simply wearing that item. Then, take the difference of those two results, and see what is really gained. 3rd tooltip? No clue, design was never my strong point.

    Food for thought.

Really, really liking the way point thing (I had never seen/used a feature like this before).

Would it be possible to add a temporary waypoint via a single click/option?

Here's how I see it being useful:

While doing a quest, the user goes & looks up the goal in question on a quest spoiler site & gets the loc. Now, they'd like to get to that loc, so a waypoint for that location would be created, and then deleted when they got there (or deleted manually).

Currently, the user would CTRL+right-click on said loc and make a note. They then set that note as the waypoint, and off they go. When they get there, they clear the waypoint and delete the note.

Would it be possible to maybe add a temporary way-point to the CTRL+right-click menu, or a hotkey combination to actually create the temporary waypoint (by temporary, I believe it's fine for the user to right-click and clear it once they're done with it, or, when they reach the waypoint; either way works).

I guess my point is that creating the temporary note just to use it to get to some location seems like an unnecessary extra step. /shrug :)

Here's your fix (and no, I don't agree with it being a "fix" either).

Make a shortcut to WoW.exe. Edit that shortcut, and add -nosound as a parameter.

    Fixed.

Unsatisfactory, I agree, but it worked for me. Onboard sound isn't agreeing with the latest patch I believe.

A thought on the text output when explaining who's missing what buffs.

If an entire group is missing, let's say, Fort - I think it would be less spammy to say (paraphrasing, as I forget the exact output):

Missing <Fortitude>: group 1, bob, joe, group 5, group 7

Seems like people would be more inclined to read that, rather then 17 names.

Great little mod. After trying out "RaidTools" sometime last week, I found that I liked the BG noise he used rather than the little "Aggro" Squishy alert.

I changed my local BanzaiAlert to use "Sound\\Spells\\PVPFlagTakenHorde.wav"

Wow, how ironic. I have a personal mod, called RaidTools, that amongst other things, does exactly that Devla. :p Just struck me as really .. well .. ironic. :)

Saw the update - will make a new .zip for my people. :) (SVN client + laymen, etc, etc.)

I had a thought .. Would it be reasonable to [re]start a 3 minute timer when a worm sync event is received that counts down to a "reset" (either a call to BigWigsFankriss:OnEnable(), or self.worms = 0, either should suffice)?

That way it would be automatic on a wipe since it will take more then 3 minutes to get back to Fankriss. Dunno, just a thought I am tossing out there. Oh, 3 minutes is off the top of my head, I've never timed between worms, maybe 5 minutes would be more reasonable- I have no idea.

Edit: There's a flaw in my logic. If someone died at the start of Fankriss, and wasn't in range to spot any worms (oh, hmm, the sync event would still reset the 3 minute counter). Ok, maybe no flaw. What if they released & thus were in a different zone (I haven't looked closely at the synccing code, as is becoming obvious).

Because it made the worm warnings useless. I have thought of a better way but that requires some testing/ more thought. For now keep a BigWigs announcer close to fankriss and raidwarn on.

Hmm, ok. I am the raid warner in my case, and my only 2 purposes in that encounter (main assist for ranged DPS) is to quickly announce + target the next worm & help DPS it down (which occasionally takes me out of range of Fankriss' cast emote). If you want to commit your thought (if you're at that point), I will be doing Fankriss tonight, and can help test.
